  • I have lurked here for a few months. Pop in and out at odd times. But thank you for being the encouraging group you are. I think about you all every night and have significantly cut my alcohol intake down per evening. (Went to truly lemonades from wine every night.). It’s easier to say no to a drink or even just another…
  • Counseling may be helpful for you as an individual and as a couple. The weight may or may not be a symptom of those problems you are having in your marriage. Are you trying to invest in your partner and his interests and working on mutual friendship between the two of you? Friendship takes work inside and outside of a…
  • Give yourself space for your body to heal. And then refuse to spin on it mentally but chose to start doing instead:manage portions primarily. If you’re nursing you have to be careful with how much you cut calories bc it can reduce your supply (I never could do less than 1700). But if you’re not nursing you can set your…
  • So I would ask for a shaken espresso (soy, 2 pumps sweetener is 100 cal-unless you do no cal sweetener) or an americano. Then you’ve asked him to get you something and you are in control of what is brought home to you #beatthesystem. Manipulate him back lol But really-other advice here you got is great but this wasn’t…
  • Trying to remember all the things that worked prior to my last two pregnancies is harder than I expected. All of these comments reminded me of different things that worked for me in the past. Thanks guys!
  • All of these had helpful thoughts! Thanks guys
  • Weigh everything and it’s ok if it takes time is what I’ve learned here. This works. Just trust the process.
  • I do it manually and don’t have MFP linked to my watch. Then if I have a 200 calorie work out I just add in anywhere up to 200 (depending on what it was I don’t always eat back the calories it says I’ve expended so for me this is easier).
  • Two full body circuits within 30 minutes. I use 30 as my cut off or I over do it-but I love to lift circuits. Tomorrow running intervals while pushing 27 lbs and a 10 lb stroller.
  • Truly lemonade. One pack sweetener. 3 oz wine. Set. Is it super low in calories no. I’m not worried n
  • https://40aprons.com/tom-kha-soup-whole30/ This is amazing.
  • This is such a good idea! For me today- a 30 minute nap when I had space for it, going to bed early last night, and just plain putting my feet on the ground when I heard my alarm this morning- for some reason that simple little “put feet on ground” has worked... when nothing else has in years!
  • Oreos. Every. Single. Time.
  • I know this thread was ages ago but... Don’t think about the work out. Think about putting your feet on the floor right away. In all fairness I get up at 6 (NOT “early” to some I see) and I have a horrid time getting myself to work out hard at that hour. My ideal time to work out is 11 but that’s not always happening w 5…
  • Love the pics 😍 thanks for sharing!
  • Fitness22 has a 10K plan I bought. I like I can throttle it back and forward. It’s not exactly the staging I would do but maybe that’s a good thing
  • Low carb through the morning kept me from getting hungry and staying hungry.
  • Nice work!
  • Try an electrolyte style drink when you finish your runs. I have electrolyte tablets I found on amazon that I take along w a propel that has zero calories. I think it’s two bucks for a box at Walmart. And it’s worth a shot. My grandpa had ALS-I’d agree it sounds like more when I have not hydrated properly in the heat than…
  • Maybe try to hit 1200 on those days you don’t feel like eating and “bank” the rest? It might help you to feel your best while you’re helping others. Your body need the nutrition. Even possibly use protein shakes as it may be easier to drink something- especially if you’re to hot.
  • Orgain is also good and you can get it in bulk at Costco-in the states. I’ve also seen it premade at the regular grocery.
  • I love my Apple Watch but the rest of my family uses Fitbit and it’s sufficient for what they need. That might be a good one to look at for the interim.
  • The science on this doesn’t add up. You don’t “burn” muscle. You use a different type of muscle cell. One is better for long repeated endurance activities (running). The other type is for short repeated hard as you can be activity (hiit if done properly and lifting). You don’t really lose muscle cells, you just Use one…
  • One year I bought a fashion mag after the September fashion shows and then I went through them All and dog eared the ones I like. Then I went back through and realized I like structure w ultra feminine stuff. (Leather and lace anyone?). Not saying that is the only way to do it but it helped me have focus. That and work out…
  • Chick-fil-A chicken strips but I cut them up and throw them in a salad. Or I get their gilled market salad w a spicy fil a. It doesn’t need dressing bc the chicken has so much flavor and a Low cal drink. I feel like I’m getting away with something but it doesn’t hit my calorie bank to hard.
  • Fat and protein w lots of fiber. It’s hard to hit the recommended fiber goal for most people. But I have found that this keeps me from being starving.
  • For the time being keto keeps me from eating to much on what I shouldn’t so I’m using it. But it’s a tool. I’m not going to give up carbs forever but my body prefers to run on less of them than I like to indulge in. I’ve used ci/co before to great success... then got pregnant 😆 so back at sq one.
  • The more numbers you track the more you would “See” that change: like girth Measurements. It may help to see sooner but honestly it’s so variable: if you’re highly focused on one area you may not notice others that react more quickly. Some People lose very quickly in their faces and so no much in say the abdomen so it…

  • Oh! And I forgot: the last ten are supposed to be the hardest. They can take quite a bit longer. Youve done good so far. Don’t beat yourself up over one night.
  • Nerd fitness has a bunch of great stuff. Even if you focus on just implementing some of their body weight work that they have available, you will notice your cardio will benefit. (Numbers distance goals etc). Worth a shot. If you want to lose the extra lbs bc you’re trying to lean out then maybe you need to focus on recomp…
