  • I'm so glad I can join this group! If anyone needs a friend, you can add me! SW: 352.6 CW: 265 GW: 137.6-141 My goals for May: - Reach 250s (maybe even 252.6, which would be 100 pounds lost) - Walk my neighborhood at least 20 times this month (about 1.25 miles) to gear up for company 2K walk on June 1 (my goal is to not be…
  • Wow, that's incredible! Congrats! Tell us more about how you were able to lose so much weight so quickly.
  • I started circuit training at the gym!
  • Oh, I also like to throw a skillet dinner together that might satisfy your pizza craving. Here's what I put in it: - 1 lb. fresh sliced mushrooms (like portabella) - 1 can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic & oregano - no salt added (I use Hunt's) - 2 - 1 lb. (16 oz.) bags frozen zucchini slices - 1 large jar of marinara…
  • Hi there, I couldn't tell from your message if the pizza and drinks are at home or out with friends. No judgement either way -- it's just much harder to manage when you're trying to socialize and don't have any control over how the food is prepared. But if you're eating pizza at home, I like to get a frozen pizza -- a…
  • 1. To hit 100 pounds lost. I've been 15 pounds or less away forever. 2. To work hard in the last couple weeks of our weight-loss challenge at work. A few people have dropped out, I may have a chance to win! 3. To get back to exercising. I only went to the gym twice at the beginning of September, and not at all in October.…
  • Today I did something that I probably couldn’t have done before, and that I’ve always wanted to do: went on a walking tour of the beautiful historic cemeteries in San Antonio. It was perfect weather, the tour was excellent, and I was so glad I was able to keep up with the tour and navigate the sometimes rough terrain…
  • I said yelled, but it was a nice “don’t touch the equipment please,” more of a scolding, not a tongue lashing. She’s a very nice lady. (And I probably shouldn’t have touched it. I just had to know! :) )
  • I went to the eye doctor this weekend for my annual check. My doctor has a really nice leather armchair for the patients to sit in, but because of the size of my stomach, there was never enough room her to use the machine with me in that chair, and we had to switch to a much smaller, less comfy, plastic icky chair. It was…
  • OMG, I'm so glad the answer is no! LOL Wouldn't that be a sight on the side of the road! The DMV does collect that information even though it's not printed on the licenses, so I think it just comes up with my other personal information when the officer scans the license.
  • I looked at mine today, too (because I got a ticket :s ). Our weights aren't printed on our licenses in Texas, but my weight was printed on my ticket. It's the first time I think that I've weighed less than what my license says. (And I lied about my weight at the time it was issued because I was so heavy!)
  • Been on that walk of shame; it's painful. This is an awesome NSV, congrats!
  • @VUA21 @workinonit1956 Glad to know this is normal. People keep telling me how much smaller I am, but I'm having a lot of trouble seeing it because I am still obese. I guess my perception will catch up with my loss eventually!
  • OMG, that's so cool! I can't wait until I'm small enough to try something like that! You rock!
  • This may be an overshare, but I got new undies in anticipation of needing them during a sale a couple weeks ago, and didn't even try them on when they arrived as they looked "way too small." I washed them and put them away. On Friday, I grabbed a new pair by mistake and they fit! Woo! I guess I'm smaller than I feel like I…
  • Congrats!!!! You look amazing! I have seen your posts in the NSV thread and they help keep me going. I started at 352.6 pounds and I'm down more than 75, so I'm on a similar journey to hit that magical BMI. Congratulations again on your amazing achievement!
  • I've been stalled lately, because my eating hasn't been great and I haven't been regularly exercising. (I keep making excuses.) I've literally been on a lose-gain-repeat cycle with the same five pounds for a month. :/ But, I feel pretty good today. Despite myself, I haven't gained back a ton. I'm down another pants size --…
  • Also, I hit my step goal of 7,500 two days in a row! Never done that before! And yesterday it was because I was stuck at a small airport for seven hours and walked laps around the terminal because I was cold (it was freezing in there!) and bored. When the gates were empty, I even went up and down the aisles of chairs.
  • I took a vacation and for the first time in at least 10 years, I didn’t need a seatbelt extender on a plane!!! And I also got to use the tray tables and armrests, and they went all the way down flat, not slightly angled because they were sitting on my stomach or legs! And I didn’t touch legs with the people next to me!
  • Hi @amtyrell! Check out this page on the VS website: https://customerservice.victoriassecret.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/940/~/sister-sizing%3A-bras You may have a sister size! I’ve been looking into sizing myself because I’m on the last set of hooks and the straps are as tight as they go and I’m having wardrobe…
  • Just rested my chin on my hand and dang -- there's bone in that jaw! What?! Also been noticing how bony my hands feel lately, too.
  • We’re having a potluck at work tomorrow, and I decided to make a couple summer salads. I was almost done when my back started hurting, which is typical when I spend time in the kitchen. But I realized I’d been standing for more than three hours straight between grocery shopping for the ingredients, bringing in and putting…
  • It just hit me I had a big NSV on Friday I completely overlooked! I eat lunch with my coworkers almost every day. On Friday, one of them said “We’re going to Whataburger,” to which I replied, “Have fun!” (For those not familiar, it’s a fast-food chain based out of Texas.) I ate lunch (of grilled chicken and steamed…
  • Also, I've exercised a few times in the last week (getting back on track), and noticed that my shoes are loose, no matter how tight I tie them. Not sure if my sneakers were stretched out, or I need a size smaller ...
  • Went to the doctor for a theee-month check-up today, and was a little nervous because my eating hasn’t been as good as it was and I have been lax about exercising since my last appointment. (Lots of parties and other social events, traveling, etc.) I’ve lost weight, but not as much as I was hoping to have lost by now. To…
  • I did a Camp Gladiator workout and didn’t die! I probably won’t sign up yet, since I live in Texas and it’s already nearing 100 outside (and going to get worse as we get deeper into the summer), but, by the end of the summer, I’ll have lost more weight, and it won’t be so hard on my wrists and knees.
  • I haven’t been doing my great with my eating or exercising the past couple weeks, so it was nice to go to the doctor’s office yesterday for a blood draw and have an NSV to remind me how far I’ve come. The tech that takes the blood has what I call an adult high chair, it has this table that comes down across the front. That…
  • I hit my "goal" sometime last week; I've been setting it for 10% of my current weight each time, since doctors always say losing that is very beneficial to your health. So now I've lost 10% of my body weight ... TWICE! And that long-term goal that once seemed so far away is inching closer ... Also, my BMI has…
  • Usually I need a seat beat extender when I fly, and have for about the last decade. I took four flights recently, and on the last flight, I didn’t need one! I know it was a newer plane, and probably had longer seat belts, but it still felt good.
