  • I suddenly started getting on-line receipts from stores I never shopped at in another state. After researching I figured out that someone with my name had an email account almost identical to mine. Hope she never needs those receipts!
  • Calling plumbers because my floor around the toilet is now stained purple (I think a leaky seal? ). And I can hear water running when I'm in the kitchen but can't track down where it's coming from.
  • I wish I had really good advice for you that would make everything easier, but I'm in the same boat. Between caring for my husband, coordinating with the hospice team, trying to work, making sure the animals are cared for, etc., etc., etc., there is just too much. And if I get an hour to myself (after everyone is asleep…
  • Mostly right now I just push through it and keep doing what has to be done. I'm sure I'm going to crash one day, but I keep praying it won't be in the next couple of months. On occasion, all the people and critters will be asleep early and I get an hour or so to myself when I can watch TV or read a book and eat ice cream.
  • I have a really bad habit of pouring myself a cup of coffee to take with me in the car and then leaving it sitting on the kitchen counter.
  • My WFH supervisor, Queen Amelia. She sits and watches me all day long.
  • I've had Metlife for years. They just sold out to Farmers so we'll see how that goes. We've had 2 accidents that were not our fault and no tickets and the rates haven't gone up for a long time. I have a 2019 Focus and was going to drop the collision insurance and comprehensive insurance since the car is only worth about…
  • Complete strangers who think it's okay to make rude comments to me about my husband. Just STFU.
  • I never get tired of that view.
  • High school students who park in front of my house at 6:30 a.m. with their stereos blasting. My husband had a bad night and I had just gotten him back to sleep and now he's still awake. I don't care if they park there, but how about a little consideration for people who live here? (And boy does that sound like an old lady…
  • Stella being very happy!
  • I have worked in family law for a long time and these kinds of moves are always so hard on the parent who stays. I'm sure you know all the ways you can keep in touch and still be part of your son's life even if you aren't physically present. There's just no good way to ease the heartbreak of not having the constant…
  • My husband, who has a compromised immune system, got his third shot today which was a big relief to me. We have been very careful to keep him as safe as possible but it is a worry. Our schools open tomorrow and it should be interesting to see how it goes.
  • Package delivery people who put heavy packages right up against my screen door. How am I supposed to open the door to get the package?
  • Scammers. Today I'm irked by scammers who pretend to be my boss and ask me to buy gift cards for clients and send him the authorization codes. Can't fool me that easy - my boss would not be emailing me at 6:30 a.m.
  • I don't understand it either - I've never had a bad experience in a drive thru car wash and I'm not claustrophobic, it just freaks me out. My husband laughs at me about it and he was in charge of washing the car but he can't drive any more so my car stays dirty. Oh well.
  • I am so glad I am not the only one! I really need to wash my car and have been putting it off for a month.
  • I wish we could make some people wear a sign that says "i are an idiot"
  • Have a 3 inch scar in the middle of my forehead starting at the hairline from when friend and I decided to "borrow" the neighbor's truck when we were 14 and somehow managed to roll it. Yeah, not the smartest thing I have ever done.
  • Making breakfast for my husband and tripping over a cat while carrying it to him and dropping half of it on the floor.
  • A gin and tonic in the largest glass you have please - oh, heck, just make it in a beer pitcher. It's been that kind of day.
