  • I'll add you :) I'm not crazy about gym-ing it (lol) but I'm trying to motivate myself to lose 10-15 pounds. I'm more of a bike ride/speed walk kinda girl!
  • I have a dumb question -- I am pear shaped pretty severely (34'' bust and 40'' hips), should I be focusing on lower body exercises or trying to do all over cardio to slim? Last year I was doing targeted leg lifts, squats, etc. and my calves and thighs got so hard that I couldn't get them into any of my pants! The waist fit…
  • Simply because the formula of what your body burns on a regular average day goes out the window when you are not eating enough. Instead of keeping your metabolism up, your body slows down and starts storing EVERYTHING in an attempt to continue to fuel itself. The weight you're gaining is mostly excess fat, while you're…
  • I don't really care whether it's good or bad for you, or whether the person is doing it on a consistent basis... MY concern is that anytime I see someone consistently going over on sodium, they are usually eating absolute junk all the time. Fast food, processed food, lots of boxed stuff, as those items are so high in…

  • Diet soda Most low fat items Protein/cereal bars Most Kellogg/Kashi/Overprocessed sweet cereals Yoplait yogurt Those disgusting bags of fruit and yogurt in the frozen section Most frozen vegetables -- I've found a brand that has nothing added but many of the big name brands have sugar, salt, etc. Pop tarts (BLEH!!!)
  • A stainless steel pot/pan set, and new silverware. I had a gorgeous set of silverware and now over half of my large forks are missing! UGH.
  • I broil it in a pan with a teeny bit of butter and parsley, maybe some garlic powder. What I put it over depends -- usually a fresh veggie medley, or pasta if I'm in need of carbs.
  • 2,500mg is the recommended amount by most doctors. 1,500 if you have high blood pressure. I shoot for 1,500-2000 myself, most of the time I am under 1,800.
  • Uh... not necessary when you're eating a balanced diet (any, really, fresh veggies have sodium). Try Deer Park brand.
  • This. It also goes good on salads and you can mix it in with some pasta, fresh tomatoes, basil, garlic, and other mixed veggies for a quick meal.

  • What are you eating? Could you open up your diary?
  • Cottage cheese!
  • All I'm gonna say is: BetterOats Blueberry Muffin instant oatmeal mix. Natural, whole grain, and 160 calories. Why spend the money and the calories? (-300- calories for oatmeal? BLEH.)
  • Lay off on the chips and sub in corn tortillas for flour ones. I prefer the taste and you get 2 for 40 less calories than the flour, and they are gluten free so less bloatyness afterwards. I get a dish at my local restaurant that has flank steak (lean), cheese, 2 corn tortillas, and a side of lettuce, tomato, a little sour…
  • I don't personally have one that I recall, but my dad picked up subs from Zero's one night and crunched into something really hard, like glass? Maybe bone? No idea but we took the sub back up there and got a refund. He hasn't eaten there since.
  • "You don't eat beef? How do you get protein?" ... yeah.
  • Look up the Brazilian Butt Lift DVDs! I watched a few intro videos last night and they seem interesting.
  • My husband used to do 8 miles a day or so when he lived in England and he was pretty skinny, and his legs were BUILT. I think you need to adjust your intake accordingly. Why wouldn't it burn calories? You're doing cardio and getting your heart rate up, and flexing the muscles in your legs.
  • Once I figured out what was bothering me, I just stopped eating it. But if I do happen to have a reaction (often happens if I eat out somewhere and forget to ask if anything has nuts/eggs!), I just eat light for the few days afterward to help my body readjust. I also get a lot of fiber in my diet though so my body…
  • I cannot have nuts, especially peanuts, because of a food intolerance. I always got stomach aches from eating peanut butter as a kid, and my parents just thought I was weird. Nope! Food intolerance. I'll add you :) (If it helps, my intolerance also expanded to complex animal proteins - pork and beef, and also eggs)
  • Stevia has a slightly grassy aftertaste, with it being a plant and all, and some people can't really get used to it. I like it in certain things... I made a fruit bread pudding over the weekend with it and you couldn't even tell, and got the flavor of the berries instead of SUGAR, like you would with regular. I think a lot…
  • I agree with this. You have to have consistency in your diet or your metabolism soars all over the place and your body is thrown into confusion. You're also not getting enough protein, which helps you to feel more full throughout the day. I think you need to shift your calories further up in the day, as in, you need to be…
  • Coconut milk! (nom)

  • Ford. Always bought Fords and they have been reliable and steady cars. Love my Ford Fusion. Case in point: friend paid nearly as much for a Cavalier as I did for a Fusion and had no electric door handles or window controls, the AC broke within a couple of years, and she has already moved on to a new car... a Ford. Fancy…
  • If you are going for a no calorie sweetener, Truvia. But Stevia in the Raw is a better Stevia sweetener. Stevia is a plant, fyi, so it's natural. You can actually grow it at home.
  • For you gals that say your hair gets ultra oily if you don't wash it, you may want to look at switching shampoos. That may be the cause. No one's scalp is naturally oily to the point of needing to wash it multiple times per day, you're actually making your scalp produce even more oil!
  • I wash my hair twice per week and workout 4-5x in that week. I don't really find that my hair smells bad after working out though...
  • Depends on who asked who out. I'm certainly not going to ask a guy to a $75 per meal restaurant and then make him pay. However, if he invites me to said expensive restaurant, the same goes. The person who set up the plans pays. I even do that with my friends if I invite them to get mexican. I pay, because I invited them.
  • I can top that. Anyone who posts anything about them just having sex. Specifically, a girl telling Facebook that she just gave her boyfriend a *kitten* and settled down for a movie night. Yeah. Uh... needless to say, her statuses were blocked from my viewing.
