  • Did you post in the new to myfitnesspal thread? That's where to look! Make sure to update your profile too. I personally am wary about friending :)
  • I have increased my water intake by increasing my tea intake...last night I also added two shots of whisky in my cinnamon tea haha. 200 calories of Ahhh. I also work a chocolate pudding every day just about. Love me some snack packs for 120!
  • Eat back your calories from exercise! You need to make sure your body has enough nutrients to fuel it which is figured into MFP. It also depends on your calorie restriction from what I understand. I eat back all my calories but I'm also on a 1200 calorie plan...I would probably eat my arm off if I didn't eat back those…
  • I wish there weren't so many people being judgmental rather than helpful when you were looking for support, so I'll apologize on their behalf. As someone who has gone from a family who frequented soup kitchens and food banks to not having to worry about what something cost to getting a divorce and now having to count every…
  • I'm like you. I love food and overeat. It's not even sweets, it's mindless eating or eating because of feels. The most important things I've learned this time around is to forgive myself, try again, make sure I have friends to help support me. Figuring out why you overeat is the first step. Add me if you'd like, I am…
  • Yep. Singular and plural Jedi are Jedi. So, it could be a reference to Luke as the last Jedi with the story of what happened there with Kylo Ren and how that ties into Rey becoming the newest Jedi. It could be about rebuilding while giving us more back story. Finn is still in a coma but they set up the continuation of that…
  • Seriously, melted cheese is my spirit animal...also, pasta might be as well...and butter. I may have eaten all of these things and gone over my calories this weekend but...I was celebrating with family and it's back to counting more strictly now (although a chocolate pudding snack is in my near future...to balance the…
  • From what I understand, 3 cups of air-popped popcorn is 93 calories. It's the butter I put on that jacks it up.
  • Yeah, a lot of people have said broccoli...I do enjoy broccoli but have to remain by myself for awhile after consuming haha. I try not to eat it when bf is over and he is over frequently ;)
  • Thanks for all the great suggestions!! I actually am a foodie and have been gifted with extra taste buds (genetics). I am a slow eater, I love the taste of food. I am a good cook and experiment with recipes and herbs. I actually don't eat a lot of sweets, it's me eating 3 oz. of steak rather than the whole thing. I love…
  • Thank you all for your great responses!! I do have the calorie restriction for weight loss, however, I know that in order to not revenge binge eat I need to be satisfied. Not everyone's brain puts food in the same category. It is something that I enjoy and hits the pleasure centers for me so I need to enjoy what I'm eating…
  • Yep. Former weight watcher here. The more it's processed, the worse I feel (except pudding, I love pudding). Counting calories helped me lose more than weight watchers and I felt it was easier too. You have to be accountable though, log everything. I find it's easy for me to "forget" what I've eaten sometimes. Those little…
  • Definitely. It can be so hard it makes you ask why you're doing it. That lasts for a little bit until you see yourself change, until you feel better. You have to make a commitment every day to do this so you can feel better, until it is not hard but habit. You can do it, you're stronger than you think.
  • I gained a bunch of weight back after my divorce so looking to lose that and then some! It's going slowly so far but I'm trying to stay positive!
  • I am reading all of your posts while eating a chocolate pudding snack...I logged it already ;)
  • Hi! Just joined. Did Day 1 yesterday!! Jumping and me aren't great friends as I'm a bit top heavy but I loved the workout! Can't wait for Day 2 this evening!! My calves are a little tight this morning. I have a seven year old boy who is very energetic! Want to be able to catch up with him!
  • Thank you for sharing! A lot of that resonated with me as I am short (5'2") and my weight has fluctuated over the years. I also have a new position at work, new apartment and new man. I want to be healthy and learn to take my self-worth from inside. It's hard though and one coping mechanism for me was always food.
  • Would love to join this if it's not too late! It would be very motivating for me starting this journey again. I have lost one pound since I started a week ago and have about 60 more to go.
  • You can do this. Commit again every day. Log your food, every day. Be honest with yourself. Find out why you over-eat (I'm an emotional eater). Change one thing at a time. Forgive yourself and start every day fresh.
  • Hi! Me tooo!! I'm on every day now, logging and trying to make it a habit again. Feel free to add me!
  • Yaaassss! I am a foodie first. I love all kinds of food and love to cook. I cook with real butter. I've found that if I'm craving something and I deny myself or try to eat the "healthy" version, I still crave what I wanted in the first place. My motivation for exercise is that it allows me to eat my calories back and have…
  • Me too!! Starting again. Did it before, hoping to go even further this time. Add me!
  • Same here! I had a similar struggle with losing and then life happening and gaining it all back. I'm ready to start again and go even farther. I am on every day and am trying to get back into the habit of logging. Let's support each other! I'd like to get down to 140 at least (I'm 5'2")!
  • Hi! Just starting out again and could use the support, add me!! :) I'm on every day
  • Back again! Lost 30 pounds and put it all back on after a divorce. Looking to lose about 60 pounds this time. Let's do this! Add me if you'd like!
  • I am back again because I found it really helpful the last time. I realize now that I'm an emotional eater (plus, I'm a foodie) and I don't drink nearly enough water. This is a great way to keep you honest and track your progress. Don't stop logging!! Even if you don't finish the log for the day, log something. Come on…

  • I am a divorced mom of one. I too am around the same weight as when I was 9 months pregnant, actually a little more :(. I find I'm an emotional eater. I lost 33 pounds right before my divorce but then gained it all back the two years since. I could use some help with motivation!
  • MFP calculates the amount of calories that you should eat by incorporating all of the information you put in, including how much per week you'd like to lose. I am also at 1pd. per week. Even if I do no excersize that week, I'm still at a calorie deficit. So, if I exercise, I enter my exercise in to see how much more of a…
  • Feel free to add me and take a look at my diary. I'm at 1310 calories now. 1000 seems awfully low. If you're also doing 60 minutes of exercise daily make sure to log that in so you can eat those calories back (very important or your body goes into starvation mode and you don't lose). Also, you can track your sugar, carbs…
  • Welcome! This is a great place for motivation and accountability! Feel free to send me a request! I have a 23 month old and am trying to get back my old body. :)
