  • Woah, 19 weeks and I gained 2 pounds this week!!! I gained 10.6 pounds so far...
  • Oh and also I was a little nervous because my baby was 8 pounds 6oz and when I got home I had only lost about 6 pounds!!! It did not make sense to me. But I think it was all the fluids and etc.
  • With my son, I gained 25 pounds and lost it within about 1 month. But my body was of course different... still, I was wearing my pre-pregnancy clothes. My tummy just needed a bit more time to shrink back into place, which I was fine with. I ate less and walked daily as soon as I felt good, I think I was in the gym doing…
  • I had the Surge HR but ended up returning it because I wasn't 100% satisfied with its accuracy... It would count steps when brushing my teeth ;) I was also losing steps for some reason once in a while. Fitbit said it was an issue on their end but who knows... Maybe it's fixed now. I use the One and wear it on my bra all…
  • Currently 18.1 weeks along: SW: 123 pounds Week 7: 124.2 (+1.2) Week 9: 125 (+2) Week 10: 125 (+2) Week 11: 125.4 (+2.4) Week 12: 126.4 (+3.4) Week 13: 126.8 (+3.8 gained in the first trimester) Week 14: 127.8 (+4.8) Week 15: 129 (+6) Week 16: 128.8 (+5.8) Week 17: 129.8 (+6.8) Week 18: 131.6 (+8.6) I'm ok with my weight…
  • ^^ I've had this happen to me sometimes during the first tri. I gained like 2-3 pounds in a week. The next week I lost it all and some more... sometimes our bodies act really weird when we're pregnant... Maybe you won't gain at all this week... who knows... GL.
  • Same for me. So I guess it's normal. Let's hope it gets fixed soon.
  • My steps are now showing but my calories/water/exercise isn't syncing to Fitbit. Anyone else with the same problem? I guess it's normal but wondering when it'll work!
  • Still not syncing for me here...
  • Glad to see they've acknowledged it! I'm still having the same issues. I don't see my step count on MFP and also the exercise I logged on MFP isn't transferred to my Fitbit Dashboard.
  • I feel you ladies! I'm 15 weeks and super hungry. I also am wearing my maternity jeans, much more comfortable although they're still a little big in the belly area. I'm up 6 pounds so far.
  • Thanks for sharing! I bookmarked it. I need to create a few full body workouts because I just can't manage going 4x a week anymore, so no more body splits for me. Plus, I want to do 1x workout a week at home, at least... So I'll definitely use some of your workouts/exercises! :)
  • I'm also debating on if I should add calories or not... I eat between 1700 and 2100 daily (if I exercise) so I think it's enough?! I'll see. SW: 123 pounds Week 7: 124.2 (+1.2) Week 9: 125 (+2) Week 10: 125 (+2) Week 11: 125.4 (+2.4) Week 12: 126.4 (+3.4) Week 13: 126.8 (+3.8 gained in the first trimester)
  • No more runny eggs (love them.. ugh). Sushis. Wine/alcohol. I've also changed brands of protein powder, I'm more comfortable with the one I am using with now when I'm pregnant. And I've added a bit (lot!!) more carbs to my diet. I'm also more relaxed about what I eat, I'm not super strict and will indulge more often as…
  • Well, if I wear something tight I do look pregnant (or to those who don't know me maybe I don't). But I can hide it by wearing some clothes, cardigan or hoodie for example! What about you??
  • Almost out of the first trimester! 3.5 pounds is good... My weight in is tomorrow (I'm 12.3 weeks now) but I think I'll be around +3-4 pounds as well. Same as with my first pregnancy, where I gained 25 pounds.
  • I like Optimum Nutrition whey, they taste great (at least the few flavours I've tried) and aren't terribly expensive.
  • Unfortunately it's hard to cut carbs with nausea, at least for me... I'm doing a bit better! GL!!
  • Lisa, I also feel bloated... and with my first I find I gained quickly but it slowed down eventually. I'm 9 weeks and gained 2 pounds. Not sure if it's water weight or not though...
  • I have mine set at 30% protein, 30% fat and 40% carbs. I usually go a little over in carbs because that's what I feel like eating the most (and it's not making me sick). I don't worry too much about it honestly, I just track so I'm not over in carbs by 100g every day and under in protein.
  • I'm due August 15th with my second. I'm 9 weeks now and I'm up 2 pounds, which is okay since I tend to gain quickly but then the weight gain slows down a bit. I gained 25 pounds with my previous pregnancy, as suggested by my doctor. I haven't been working out due to exhaustion and nausea, but it seems to be better so I…
  • I often eat a salad for lunch. Today I had a salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, avocado and eggs. I also almost always have veggies with meat at dinner. I have 1 smoothie a day where I throw in whatever frozen fruits we have. But honestly I have no problem snacking on fruits and veggies. I just stick to those I love the most…
  • Yeah, I was going to say that 1900 isn't a lot. You may just need to increase your calories a bit.
  • Due with my 2nd on August 15th. Starting weight was 122 pounds. I am now 7 weeks but havent weighted since I am feeling sick all the time and eating whatever I can stomach. I gained 25 pounds with my son and hoping to gain about the same this time around.
  • I've used protein shakes/bars with my first pregnancy, and am doing the same. I just stick to MRM natural protein or Optimum Nutrition's Natural whey protein as well. As for protein bars, I like the Simply Protein ones. But I don't have bars often. I think it's a personal choice. I'm ok doing that but maybe some other…
  • I am aiming at 1700 + exercise calories and I'm in my first trimester (I'm 5'5 and around 122 pounds at the moment). And then I'll increase by about 200 calories by trimester. That's what I did with my first pregnancy and it worked fine. Of course, if I'm hungry I'll eat a bit more if needed.
  • Thanks for your reply :) You're right that it is work handling my 7 months old, especially since he's very, very active. I will try what you suggested, 10 minutes at a time, and maybe do 10 minutes 2-3x a day (if I can manage). I have a treadmill at home so I can do some incline walking if it's raining/snowing outside. I…
  • CONGRATS!! :) I've just sent your a FR because we've found out we are expecting our 2nd child in August. What you describe, it can be done! I gained 25 pounds with my first pregnancy, and my doctor suggested I gain anywhere between 25-35 pounds given my pre-pregnancy weight. I worked out all my pregnancy, except the first…
  • Seems like the MRM protein would probably be ok during pregnancy. I used this one and also Optimum Nutrition natural whey protein. But I know some women would be uncomfortable using protein powder at all; I was not but I still tried to stick to these ones.
