  • I used to love a drink and lost weight successfully whilst drinking, I just logged the alcohol. However!! I gave up alcohol 10 months ago as I felt if I’m going to get fit and healthy and be serious about this I needed to stop filling my body with empty calories that frankly don’t add any health benefits (the health…

  • Height: 5”2 SW: 207 CW: 189 UGW: 136 GW for June 182 Goals was 141 but just realised there is a 5lb difference between 5foot 2 and 5 foot 3 which is what I thought I was so now it’s 136!!! That seems completely unattainable right now! And that’s just to be in top range of healthy! So I’ll go for 161 for now as then I’m…

  • We have dryathalon on the UK - no drinking for January and getting donations for Cancer Research. 2nd year of doing it, finding it slightly easier this year but could always do with the extra support. I'm in!
  • Also I saw something the other day about the 5lb rule, not sure how much is in it... but always look to lose 5lb below your goal weight so it will come up to your goal weight. Something about the body storing stuff. Can anyone add to this? Not sure where I saw it now and was wondering if there was anything in it?
  • ^^^^ THIS!!!! Don't get disheartened, you're in this for the long haul, it's a rollercoaster ride but by god it's good fun when you get there!
  • oh you dirty girl! :smokin: :flowerforyou:
  • Hi! Welcome back. I started in April 2011 and lost close to 45lbs. I started a new job and put it ALL back on and 3lbs more! Last year I was focussed on work goals and education. This year I am truly focussed on getting the body back. So good on you for coming back when only 7lbs went back on. Every day is a new start so…
  • TOOT TOOT!!!!Well done great success! Keep at it and stand proud of your accomplishment!
  • I have been on here since 2011 and I have never seen something so confusing! You look like you have lost at least 14lbs, even more so! I would change the batteries in your scales or get new ones. You're looking fab and doing great. I know it must be disheartening but honestly it's about how you look and feel in your…

  • Here's to Day 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got this!
  • I've quit for January and am being sponsored for it for Cancer Research, My drinking had become a nightly affair and definitely feeling the benefits now after 8 days but it's definitely harder than I thought it would be which is rather worrying! I've raised £65 so far for a very good cause and I am getting better skin and…
  • I'd just like to say that I have been really good this year and kept my wine for the weekend, downside, tolerance level lower, didn't realise have been majorly pissed and hung over! Whoopsie!
  • then you must know his behaviour is abnormal if you consider yourself normal. Ergo, get out. Life is short, live it. You have had numerous posts to back you up that his behaviour is inappropriate, is this going to be enough I ask myself for you to do something about it? What have you learnt from this post? What are you…
  • I took UP meditation and have given up falling asleep to my TV (have done this for 15 years). I have done 3 nights now off meditating then falling asleep in total darkness with no noise. It's kinda liberating! :-)
  • You're so awesome! What an inspiration and from a Bolton lass an' all! Gotta say though them wangers have got to weigh a fair bit!!! Well done on all your hard work and good luck in this next exciting stage in your journey! :glasses:

  • up until I was like 18 I believed modest meant big headed, because my parents used to say "oh aren't you modest" when I was blatantly being big headed. Way to mess a kid up! How I was I to know what irony is! It was embarrassing when I accused someone of being modest let's put it that way.
  • I've posted on your blog post, but I will just say again now how amazing you have done and the best of luck for the future. :drinker:
  • no matter what *kitten* is thrown at you, get up, dust yourself off and keep going! Love this story!
  • you know what kudos on you for seeking advice and I think you have the basis for a damn good shopping list there! I get similar things to you, I get hummous as well, sweet potatoes, low fat cream cheese to do stuffed chicken or creamy sauces etc. I think peanut butter is great and maybe add some lentils if you can stomach…
  • I think it's the anonymity at the beginning. I wouldn't tell my best mate how much I weighed or how unhappy I was, I definitely wouldn't show pictures and talk about weight (real weight). Here nobody judges you because they are all in the same boat and have been there done that. They know exactly how you feel and that…
