  • If you have some compelling reason to drop quick weight keto is great because you will lose fat and also deplete water weight very quickly. But long term, I think it comes out a wash with pretty much any other diet. People talk about the weight gain after. Its true in the sense that as quickly as the water depleted it…
  • Right on and congrats! The only reason I offered the advice I did was because in the original post she mentioned a lot of numbers and math and feeling discouraged. Not always, but in my experience people like that tend to allow numbers to cause stress and anxiety which is not good for mental and physical health. Absolutely…
  • I never said she isn't eating healthy or not exercising.... literally the only point to my initial comment was keep up the good work and don't stress out. So you can reread my comment and not in between the lines.
  • All I am saying is dont be legalistic. Enjoy the journey and progress. From this persons post I gather they want a lifestyle change not a 5 month change. People who go on a bike ride for the sake of seeing how many calories their fit bit says they burned, plug that into their perfect formula they got off Google and rinse…
  • I am currently helping a buddy who is very overweight get healthy. My biggest piece of advice is don't stress out about it. If you eat healthy food and exercise your health will improve. Pay attention to your calories (in and out) but I'm personally not a huge fan of tracking the scale every couple days or checking how…
  • Hey! So I watched the documentary, watched the rebuttal, and then the debate. So I'm about 6 hours into this ha. With proper planning and supplementation one can easily get enough protein and quality protein on a plant based diet. I have been on a largely plant based diet since the documentary and feel great. For general…
  • To this I would agree. If just fat loss is the goal then yes the DVD is fine.
  • @apullum When she refers to toning, I interpret that as muscle building or shaping in addition to weight loss. I agree that a platue in weight loss is usually diet related. If her excercise is limited exclusively to the DVD, her muscle growth will for sure platue. Research Myelin Sheath on Google. It is the science of…
  • Nice job on the weightloss. 142 at 5"3 is healthy so that is great! If your goal is to lose more weight in the stomach and back, dropping another 10-15 lbs would get you to what I'm assuming your goal is. Working out in general is a game of diminishing returns. Losing more weight may require adding an extra day in the gym…
  • If you are working out to the same DVD everyday you willl see diminishing returns. Just in general it's good to mix up what you do every so often to avoid platueing.
  • I had more results lifting 5 days a week rather than 6. Working out 5 days per week was enjoyable and I was able to go hard whereas 6 days per week left me stressed out and tired. I think headspace is more important than people think.
  • Hey! I would firstly say that if you are eating 1200 calories a day you for sure should be losing weight. My initial thought is somehow you are eating more than you think. Secondly, I would work on boosting your metabolism. The best way to do that is by increasing muscle mass. If you are working out 5 days a week, I would…
  • Do rows with your chest on a bench. Takes the pressure of the back but you can still hit the muscles hard.
  • Hey Congrats! I'm not a mom obviously but my wife and I recently had a baby. Essentially she just slowly scaled back for 9 months. As the baby gets bigger you just don't want to have a lot of pressure on your pelvic floor. By week 36 she stopped lifting and was mostly just going for walks. Good luck!
