Thank you everyone for your help. It is very useful. I think that I need to reassess my weight loss goals and maybe aim for around 27 pounds instead, which would be 1.5lbs a week. This is much more reasonable and still beneficial. Even 1 stone would probably be beneficial. I have done a marathon before, but it was 5 years…

Yes, it is a campsite that you can drive up to, but a campsite which is more of a grass field than one with a electrical hookup. Then walk from their with a day bag. So I am not limited in weight for the weekend. We occasionally hike up a mountain and 'wildcamp', which is one of the reasons why I bought the spirit burner,…

It's not for long, only 3 days. I went last week for 4 days, but I think the salad was mainly eaten on the 2nd day. Thankfully, I won't need to carry my food for miles on hikes, as we tend to hike each day from the campsite or a nearby car park. I should probably have also mentioned that I am in the UK, but I will look for…

Hello, I'm not great but currently training for a marathon, slowly :S

'And now I don't have a choice. I'm physically too weak and too heavy to push myself up' The vast majority of people are, men included. Pushups are something that need dedicated training. Most people off the street can't do one. Don't worry about it!

I agree, you can still enjoy the foods that you like, just far less of them. And find things that you like that are low calories, such as melon, cucumber etc. which will provide additional physical bulk for your stomach. Then you can start looking at fancier diets if you want to. But well done on starting this! :)

I think it shouldn't be that exact for 50 calories, maybe if you ate 300 over. No one eats that exactly everyday and I think it can cause people to obsess over small amounts. But like I said it is pretty much my maintenance calories, or maybe less as 1800 is on the low side for maintenance. I just don't think it should…

Yes, because a tablespoon of oil is like 120 calories. You probably won't consume all that you put in, but it better too over log than not include it at all.

Do you mean you think it is 'thicker' because it is proportionally bigger? I think because your waist was small to begin with it can't keep the same proportions and get much smaller. It has gone down anyway. I think you will only get a really 'thick' waist like a gymnast if you do a massive amount of ab exercises, but even…

Have you never been to Scotland?

I use my garmin forerunner 15 to track my hikes. The battery life is only about 5-6 hours though and it can't be used when it is being charged. The more expensive models can be, if you had a battery pack. Mine does the job though, but I normally upload the gpx file to Strava manually. Today, I used Garmin Express, which…

You could maybe try dance trainers. They tend to have a smooth sole.

It completely depends on your height, weight, effort put in etc. How long is the dvd? I would just put it down as however many minutes of aerobics with the intensity picked for what you think, because there isn't going to an exact number.

I think people do overestimate. I have burns of 2000 calories because I have been marathon training. For instance 1,762 calories for 189 minutes of running which I picked a slower pace up to 2700 calories for nearly 5 hours of running. However I eat most of it back, because you are hungry!!! I think if people log 1500…

the peanut butter ones in the UK don't even have any peanut butter in! I don't know why! I think they are at least real in the US

if it is nice enough to eat if again but not the next day you could just freeze it
