yes to Lietchi, 3 days in don't expect much. You need to be eating at a deficit for sure. burn more calories than you take in. Early in the game don't eat ANY junk food/ Stay strict to the calorie and quality of calories and you will begin to lose weight.

EVERYTHING that I am restricting right now to get to my goals and for health reasons. I guess Carbs are my overall kryptonite. salty things too.

70's ZZ Top! (can't stand most of the 80s version of them)

brussel sprouts halved, drizzle olive oil , salt and pepper, cook them till they are well done (a little crispy is how I like them). yum. addicting!

2 cups coffee with creamer and a banana

Great job ! My A1C was recently back to 5.9 pre-diabetic after I gained 80 lbs back from losing 100. that and my high cholesterol is motivation enough to get my butt in gear!

I'm right there with you. laser focus, we've got this.

Today actually marks 5 years sober for me. One of the best things I ever did.

Hey Ann, good to see a familiar name! Are you still rowing?

Thanks everyone for your welcome backs and encouragement, it means a lot!

I am only on one pill now and will probably stay on that for rest of my life. But, yeah, losing weight is a must to keep it all in check!

Meatloaf & Mashed (craving it for months)

agree with kickass...I've always kept mine at sedentary to offset any discrepancy in calories and exercise. Works for me.

Is keto something you think you can sustain for the rest of your life? For me, I don't like to complicate things, which is why simply eating a more balanced diet and tracking calories is the easiest approach I have found. It's been almost 2 years since I started, and I am now maintaining with no restrictions on what I can…

Shoveling heavy snow and not breaking a sweat or breathing heavy like I used too. proving that losing 100 lbs and exercising every day, does the heart and lungs good.

I never liked pecans growing up but in the last few months have taken a liking to them! I tried Pecan Pie for the 1st time and I can see why that is a "problem" ! haha
-
my sister's homemade chex mix with cashews. I swear I ate 1500 calories worth of that alone over Thanksgiving! But it was worth it ;) even though the sodium alone was a weeks worth haha!

In agreement with most the answers. I just don't understand why people make it so difficult on themselves with these FAD diets that have a higher long term failure rate than just normal calorie counting!?
-
I have learned over my journey that there is no such thing as a cheat meal. Staying within my allotted calories is the primary focus. Once I got this through my head, I was much happier and it kept me away from severe binging.

I'm 55, lost 103 lbs from my heaviest known weight, and now in maintenance allowing myself a 10 lb range as I am continuing to build muscle. My weight can fluctuate anywhere from 2 lbs to 10 lbs daily. Don't worry about the 16 lbs, it HAPPENS. BUT, you need to change your way of thinking from failure to success. Don't make…

that is awesome. it's easy to let the mind tell you "no, we'll wait". Way to override that way of thinking!

I use olive oil spray for pan or when I use my air fryer. It's so minimal I don't even count it. If I pour like a tablespoon from a bottle, I count it as a tbsp.

because it is nobody's business. I mean that in the nicest way of course. :)

Good for you, I did the same thing with some COOKIES!

walking down the stairs to my basement is my warm up  I go right into my routine. I don't lift overly heavy so it works for my 55 year old body.
-
I mean this is the nicest way....Stop making excuses and just get out there and move. I used to do the same thing before my wlj. I exercise EVERY DAY whether I feel like it or not, and feel so much better after the workout. Work it in. EVERYONE can find the time.

Agree, so many memories from my childhood Thanksgiving. My sister is carrying on the tradition. Both my parents passed away in 2018...It's bittersweet blessing they don't have to be quarantined in a nursing home without family being by their sides! To not be with my Mom at her last moments would have devastated me!

My Sister's house (her Thanksgiving dinners are incredible!) Along with Traditional Turkey and Honey Glazed Ham, she makes around 20 or so side dishes! My favorites being her mashed potatoes made with heavy cream and a lot of butter, smothered in her homemade turkey and giblet dressing. Sweet potatoes (they are like…

that's what it takes. Build, Build and Build. Soon you will be walking 10K steps. WTG!
