  • Ok, you don't want to hear this, but I'm 70+ pounds down from my highest weight and I still own every piece of clothing I did when I started this journey back in 2012! And some I still wear. Why wear a nice pair of shorts outside to weed the garden or mow the lawn? I'll just throw on some over sized stuff, which will soak…
  • You have SO got this! With that attitude the sky is the limit! And that's really all it takes, a good attitude while doing the right thing for YOU! So glad you're already appreciating the pleasures of taking control of your life and making good decisions. I'm one of those that will be logging my food for life. I've reached…
  • I'll be 73 in July, and I've lost a total of 71 pounds. First 20 was with WW online, the next 10 was Calorie Count (no longer an option) and the rest was MFP. I didn't do it quickly, I've done it over a period of about 10 years. And I've been basically in maintenance for the past year or two, just dropping a pound or so…

  • What slowed me down was putting the fork down between bites. Sounds silly, but it works. At least it did for me. 😉
  • Oh, how have I missed this all these years??? This is hysterical! I've lost an elephant's penis, too! Sure hope I don't find it again... 🤣😂🤣
  • Just a thought... are you eating your exercise calories? If so, remember... MFP and most sites over compensate your exercise with extra calories you "can eat"... but if I do that, I gain or maintain. 1900 calories a day seems awfully high, but let us know what your dietician says. I'm interested.
  • sounds like you've got this! Just keep with the plan, and you'll get there!
  • Congrats! Keep it up, you can do it and now you KNOW you can do it!
  • Very well said. And the difference shown in the pics is simply amazing! You have SO got this, Jeff! Great job of taking control of your life! 👏👏👍👍
  • 👍👍👏👏

  • First... congrats on losing so much weight! YOU RULE! Second, some ideas for a treat... believe it or not, when I decided I deserved a real treat, I bought myself new underwear! It was such a treat to not be wearing the baggy huge ones anymore! You could make it a new pair of pants or shorts, or a new top... something to…
  • I'm 71, and every time I think "Oh, I've got this, I don't have to log anymore"... the weight creeps right back on again. So I'll be here forever (cause that's how long I'm going to live!), logging my foods and exercises, and keeping my 60+ lost pounds LOST! And you're right... you're NEVER too old!
  • Just found this thread... and all I can say is WOW! Spring, you are such an inspiration to me! Ann, you've been an inspiration for years now. But after reading all of this, I'm going to be pushing myself harder than I have been the past few months. I've had osteopenia for years now, some years I make a small gain, other I…
  • Great work, dude, you're looking great! 😍
  • You look fantastic now! So happy for you! Maintenance can be as hard as losing the weight was, so keep up your great attitude, and you have GOT this!
  • Today I did a 4.25 mile walk and 60 walking lunges with my 3 pitbulls, while wearing an 8lb weighted vest. Came home, cooled off, then got in a 15 minute session on my vibration plate while doing squats, bicep curls, and other assorted upper body work moves using my 10lb kettlebell. Followed that up with 2 minutes of…
  • this is an open ended question that I can't answer without knowing the goal. Do you want to lose weight? OR do you want to get fit? Both are important, but which one to stress depends on the end goal.
  • Good job! Sounds like you've created a plan and stuck to it. Kudos to you!
  • One day does not a lifestyle break! So what if you're over one day? Just get back on that lifestyle horse tomorrow and ride it for all it's worth! We all go over some days, but starving yourself will just turn you off on your journey. But good job on sticking to your log, even if I would have eaten, personally. AND logged…
  • You can see the difference, and I bet you can feel it, too! Good job!
  • great job! All great journeys begin with that first step, so keep on steppin'!
  • DEFINITELY get yourself a small food scale, they aren't expensive, but are indispensable! Trying to eye ball your food is one way to ruin all your hard work! I weigh everything I eat, only takes a minute but I know exactly what, and how much, I'm eating that way. Take bananas... you'll find entries in the logs for small,…
  • My most recent nsv... I'm having kidney surgery on the 31st and the 2nd of February (two on the same kidney) for kidney stones, and saw my surgeon for the initial consult. He told me I was lucky I was "thin" as it would be easier for me AND for him, no excess fat to cut through I guess. I was like... Who? ME? THIN??? Yeah,…
  • Not gaining 20 pounds over the holidays! I'm a cookie baker, and it is HARD! After all, you can't gift cookies unless you've tasted them, made sure they're up to par. Yep, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
  • I agree with all of the above. And I'll also say, don't trust Google, they know not of what they speak. 😂
  • Inspiring story, congrats on your fantastic loss so far! I wish you the best on your journey, you have GOT this!
  • In the past two days I've had 2 neighbors stop me while I was walking the dogs to ask if I had lost weight. LOVE it when someone notices. But my favorite NSV was Tuesday. I had an appointment to have my hair cut, and was looking through the closet. I pulled out a pair of below the knee pants that I had thought were knee…
  • Good job! Now imagine how great it's going to look at 10 lbs! You can do it!!! 😉😊
  • your story is brutally real and extremely inspirational. So very glad you found the strength to turn your life around. You look fantastic now, best wishes on your competitions! And I hope the rest of your life goes smoothly, it sounds like you deserve it!
