Nurses will never improve their situation as long as they stand divided. We have a saying Doc... Can I call you Doc? That's what we refer to our providers as... anyways.... Nurses eat their own. Until that is not true, nothing is going to happen. However, it is disgraceful to be a healthcare worker and refuse to be…

Not sure what your knowledge of "joint replacement" is, but those things have a lifespan. Sometimes, the providers are only able to replace it once. After that, when the joint wears out, you are S.O.L. Humans are like a truck. Like trucks, we have a load capacity. While you can drive a truck, that has a 2000lb capacity,…

While I do not doubt that movement declines with age, the Hadza of advanced age, still have very high movement rates, compared to westerners of the same demographic. So, while people do get some DJD as they age, high movement rates are important. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41562-020-01002-7

Actually, its going to hurt in the lloonnnggg term. Many nurses have just and left the profession, taken jobs in telehealth, or case management. What many of the companies are failing to recognize is, schools are not making enough of us to replace those lost. In my line of nursing, there are few that hear the calling. It…

No, covid should have been a wake up call to how sick our country is. I am waiting for the new data on obesity and the percentage of population. Bet its no longer 30-40%, probably closer to 50+ now....

First off..... wrong about hunter gatherers diets being primarily meat based. Is actually heavily plant based. This is a breakdown by season of the Hadza's diet

ugghh..... I guess irony is lost on some people. Now, I guess I am going to be accused of mansplaining so anyways.. the first part was me speaking of the stupidity of the "pink" tax. No, female hygiene are essential. The second part was the point that is they were going to continue taxing female products, they should also…

I have just convened an emergency meeting with the Council of the Patriarchy. We have put out an immediate stop action on the taxation of all feminine hygiene products! All joking aside, they should tax razors and shaving cream as well. It is not essential to remove body hair. In my home state, there is no tax on fresh and…

I would suggest not relying on protein powders if you can. They can be good in a pinch or to replace a meal a day, but there is plenty of evidence that liquid calories do not produce the same satiety effects as eaten calories.

do you use whey protein because of that is the only thing you have time to eat? Or is it just to hit protein. I would suggest protein at 1 gram per pound of target BW. Higher protein intakes help control appetite, and might also help retention of lean mass, even when not lifting. Don't be afraid of some "simple" carbs.…

I keep hearing this statement in America. "For the greater good." I have been told to wear a mask and get vaccinated, even though I am at low risk, for the "greater good." So I did. So, yes. For the greater good you will have to pay more for treats.
