  • Hi everyone and thanks so much for your lovely replies I am actually seeing a counsellor already for unrelated reasons- I have spoken a bit about my weight loss but haven’t gone into detail about how much my relationship with food still impacts me, and I hadn’t mentioned the purging because I think I’ve been very much in…
  • Thanks guys, I feel better now :D I knew logically it wasn't going to undo two months worth of progress (nearly 8 pounds of weight loss) but i more had that bloated post-binge bloated feeling where you just irrationally feel like you're instantly 10 pounds heavier and you have to lie still for an extended period of time…
  • Yeah I figured the distance on my phone must be more accurate due to GPS- it’s a little odd that the calorie burn on the tracker is also so much lower though, seeing as it is apparently tracking my heart rate, but who knows 🤷‍♀️
  • You guys are so right haha, I’m just gonna have to use these statistics (if they are even accurate) to motivate myself to be in the 10% 😂 and I am sceptical about how valid these studies are anyway. I’m just going to take it one day at a time and try not to stress myself out about long term weight gain
  • you have already taken an amazing first step! you're gonna do great :)
  • hahaha this only comes out at 292... damn :D gonna have to start running further

  • I first started properly losing around 2 years ago, but I lost the first 40 pounds in around 6 months, after that I maintained for ages (although i did go through a few cycles of gaining about 7 pounds and then losing it again), and then over the last couple of months i've lost another 10. It was very rapid for me at…
  • thanks for the lovely comments everyone <3 <3
  • Thank you!
  • thank you! And I will haha
  • I know that my BMI is technically within the healthy rage, but I find it hard to trust that result when looking in the mirror I can just see that I have a lot of excess weight. Some days I feel so huge i honestly can't understand how my weight could be categorised as 'healthy'. I'm not sure whether or not this is just a…
  • As background my start weight was 204 pounds, current is 165 and my goal is 140 (I'm 5 ft 10). I am aware that fasting one day a week and only eating 1200 a day does sound aggressive, but since I absolutely suck at sticking to the 1200 limit i almost inevitably end up going over it by quite a significant number of calories…
  • sorry my maths was a little off. I am hoping for at least 2 pounds a week, and would still only be eating around 1200 calories on the other days, but fasting one day a week would obviously speed up the process and allow for some leeway if I ended up going over on any of the other days
  • Thanks so much for all the advice guys! I will definitely start just having a small snack before bed (and I might try the protein thing) 😌😌
  • On a typical day I will usually walk for about an hour and a half/ two hours just getting around. I don't eat those calories back but on the days where I go to the gym (about 3-4 times per week) I usually eat the workout calories back. To be honest I might take your advice and just start adding in a small snack before bed…
  • yeah, i have tonnes of recordings from a couple of years ago that I have been comparing to recordings of myself singing the same songs recently :) i thought that it could be just higher levels of fitness and therefore better breath control but there are loads of very good singers who are larger so there doesn't seem to be…
  • (40 pound difference :) )
  • I have the same problem :'( Like others have said i recommend either straight spirits or spirits mixed with diet drinks. Also don't be tempted to skip meals to 'save' calories for alcohol, always eat a substantial meal before you go out, because otherwise you'll probably wind up being starving later and going to get a late…
  • well done! You look amazing :)
  • Thank you! 10,000 steps is about 4 miles so roughly 90 mins worth of walking depending on your speed- but you don't have to do it all in one go! If you download a pedometer onto your phone and just try to walk little bit here an there you'll be surprised how easily it adds up. Hope it goes well :)
  • Thank you! My highest weight was 204, current is 164, and my goal is to get to about 140 (I'm 5 ft 10) :) Honestly it hasn't been a smooth road to this point cause I fell off the wagon like 100 times and I wasn't really that meticulous with logging all my food (although I did have periods of doing in religiously and I…

  • hi:) My advise would be not to focus on how much you have to lose overall- set yourself smaller goals (weekly or monthly) and work towards those. In time it will all add up. I understand what it's like to feel overwhelmed. I want to lose around 60 lbs in total which feels huge, but right now I'm just focusing on trying to…

  • yeah i did it on floorboards and tiles- so i dont really get why the difference was so big. i guess i'll have to get another one. it was quite cheap to be honest- £13.50- but i can't really afford to spend loads on a scale. well i was just hoping for it to be accurate at least to the pound. since i'm hoping to lose 2 lbs…
  • i'd love to be down 20 by new year! might be a bit unrealistic though... anyway my starting weight is 200- lets see if i can get it down to 180 by january :)
  • hi and sorry to hear you're feeling down :( try not to feel discouraged- you can do this! I'm hoping to lose around 50 pounds too. feel free to add me if you want and maybe we can support each other :)
  • I like twinings fruit tea- especially cranberry and raspberry :) I also love the brand pukka- they do a really nice flavour called vanilla chai, but it's super expensive :/
