I'm not walking any plank. Remember, I'm swabbing the deck for extra cardio burn!

Well now you have to share. What did you cook?

We will get to 200 and then we will say goodbye to the 200's and enter onederland. But, one step at a time. Let's see how these 30 days go first.

I have struggled with insomnia for years. 6 years ago my doctor prescribed zopiclone, a wonder drug i.e. non-addictive, non-narcotic, no hangover etc. Guaranteed me at least 5 hours, but I knew pretty quick that I have developed a dependence, cannot sleep without it. So, old doc retired and I have a new one. He was shocked…

The hard part is starting and you're here so you've done that. Small changes net big results. Log everything you eat, just start there. Once you start seeing results, and you will, your confidence grows and it gets easier. Add me if you'd like, support here is key. Good luck, you can do this.

Surround yourself with positive, supportive people. Feel free to add me if you want to, I log on every day and my diary is open and I'm willing to share. I have some super people in my friends column and I couldn't do this without them.

Good for you, it's all about the attitude!

"Detox" suggests that you are going through a process of ridding your body of a toxic substance. Sugar isn't toxic, it is present in many, many Healthy foods. The word detox is way overused and always makes me suspect when I see it connected to any diet plan.

It is possible that I just sent you 3 requests. I am not a stalker or an obsessed fan, I'm just much better on the full site rather than the app, but I use both. Let me know if you got one or three ikay?

If you have a calorie deficit you have to lose weight even if you eat all carbs! The best advice I ever got here was to buy a food scale and weigh and measure everything.....that made a huge difference. I was way out on my guessing which is really common. Log everything that you eat, make sure your goal weight is set…

Hey Matt. Add me if you'd like. I am logged in every day, my diary is open and I know I couldn't do this without my MFP supports. I would be happy to be that for you as well.

"Mindless" eating at night isn't usually about hunger at all. When I get that urge, I have taught myself to take a minute and make myself think it through. Am I actually hungry? If not, what am I feeling? If I am hungry, do I have calories left and what can I eat that will fit in my goals and give me the most bang for my…

For me it's all about weight. I have been on prescription Nexium for a long time, got under 200 lbs and the reflux disappeared. Years later back up over 200 and the reflux is back every bit as bad as it used to be and back on Nexium. Heading back down now, looking forward to not having to pay for this medication.

Looks like 2 breakfasts to me! But it sounds yummy.

I think a lot of people say "guilt" when they mean "regret".

Please talk to your therapists about being here. You obviously recognize that you need professional help and you are really lucky to be getting it, so please utilize it fully.....which means full disclosure honesty. I can relate to parts of your story and I did not get the help when I needed it most, I got lucky, but it…

Actually it sounds like she works out regularly she counts calories and pays attention to macros........huh....she could cut out the "supplements" and save her money. She's losing weight because of MFP.

Have you tried steel cut oats? A dollop of greek yogurt for extra protein and some berries for sweetness and I'm full for hours.
-
For me, it doesn't work when I completely eliminate grain. I don't feel full or satiated and either have to put up with feeling hungry or I end up eating too much of everything else. I'm still careful about carbs, but some oatmeal in the morning and brown rice with my veg and protein for dinner works a lot better. I feel…

How much sodium?

Me too, nothing to do with weight, it's genetics as you already suspect. Look to your parents, I have the same knees as my Mom had.

I love coffee, bit of a coffee snob and dark roast all the way. I used to sweeten it but stopped using sweeteners of any kind. It took no time at all and now I can't stand the taste of sweetened coffee.

Wow, awesome job!

Ended up at 244. Didn't make my goal, little disappointed. Oh well, the number is still going down, just slower than I had planned.

This. Folks ask for motivation all the time.....you are already motivated or you wouldn't be here! Just take a step forward, then DON'T stop.

Hi Trish. I started at 257 and I'm down 13 lbs in 8 weeks, so almost 2 lbs per week. I drink only water, black coffee or tea. For me, eliminating my trigger foods was essential. Mine are anything found in a bakery! Yes, eventually I'll be able to eat a cookie without eating a dozen, but not yet. As I get in control of my…
