Squat Form Check
Hallo der, I just got back into lifting after a little absence due to a back injury. I filmed by first set of 70Kg squats (I'm doing a 5x5), just wanted to make sure that my form was ok. Any improvements here? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dK2EGOlh9tQ

Silly weight loss question...
With this TDEE calculator (http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/), it has varying activity levels which can either raise or increase your TDEE, obviously, the higher the activity, the higher the TDEE. The thing I am confused with is the activity levels lol. Do they relate to cardio? Or just exercise in general? I've been…

Squat rack too high?
I'm following 5x5 Stronglifts so squatting is involved in every workout. At my gym there is 1 squat rack, it's got fixed safety bars and fixed pins, I'm pretty sure its this one: I use the 2nd highest pins on the rack, it was all good until now. When I stand up to the bar on the 2nd highest pins, the bar is somewhere near…

Meniscus Tear
I was squatting 2 days ago (I follow 5x5 strong lifts) and I heard a 'pop' noise on my way back up. It was my last set, last rep. My form was fine, according to my gym buddy; but I can't completely put my trust in him. My knee felt quite weak and it hurt to put any pressure on it, so I just finished the rest of my workout…

OHP in squat rack?
My gym only has 1 squat rack. There isn't a power rack, there's a smith machine but I haven't heard good things about them. Is it considered bad gym etiquette to do OHP in the squat rack? Cleaning the bar is getting quite tiresome and I'm just dreading the day something goes wrong when I can't get a rep out or something.

Barbell row lower back fatigue?
I'm doing 5x5, and today I was doing workout A (Squat, Bench Press and Barbell Row). I did the exercises in that order, including warm up sets. When I hit the Barbell Rows, my lower back fatigued quite quickly. It wasn't a bad pain, but it just felt like bleeurgh; I can't describe it really. Is this common with Barbell…

Little bit confused with amount of calories for bulking?
I'm starting SL5x5 tomorrow (again), when I previously did it, I was in a caloric deficit. But I want to bulk, so I need to be in a caloric surplus. I'm not sure how many calories I should be consuming though? Stats;* height: 5ft 7 * weight: 146.6lb Am I correct in thinking that I add 500 or so to my TDEE?

I'm in a plateau
I've been stuck in a plateau for around 7 weeks, and I'm not sure how to get out of it. In this time, I've only fluctuated slightly and I believe it was water weight, 0.2 and 0.6lb. I'm positive I am weighing everything; peanut butter, chicken, everything. I've tried switching up my calories, tried 1600 when I started…

Those with large phones...
I just got the iPhone 6+, I didn't really think it through; it doesn't fit in my arm band and non of my shorts can fit it. Are there any recommended arm bands or other 'holders' for a large phone? :D

Will strength gains plateau?
Hi guys, I plan to start lifting some time this week, I have done some before and I increased my strength quite fast and I was only eating around 80g of protein or something around that. I plan to lift long term, but would my strength eventually plateau while in a deficit? Just a thought...

Fitbit flex experiences?
I'm thinking about buying a fitbit flex, but I'm a bit confused about it. For example, if you were doing some cardio, do you use the fitbit flex at the same time as a HRM? Or does it replace the HRM? Or is it just good to use for daily things, like walking to and from work etc, instead of having to put your HRM on? I'm so…

"Counting calories is sad"...
I'm not saying it is, don't all jump on me yet! Today I was logging what I had for breakfast, and a friend saw what I saw doing. He asks: "What's that?". I reply, "It's Myfitnesspal, it helps me track my caloric intake". He then laughs which I found rude and said, "That's just sad". It's comments like these which really…

Barefoot running shoes and shin splints?
Anybody used barefoot running shoes to help prevent shin splints? I'm curious about them, and I'd like to stop getting shin splints.

Keeping warm on runs
I went for a run a couple of days ago, quite late at night and I was freezing :frown: , despite moving fairly fast. I was only wearing a T shirt and a compression top; I have no idea what material it is. What sort of materials should I look for in running clothes? Polypropylene? Lycra?

Legs hurt while running?
I went for a run today, and I had this really bad aching pain in both legs, on the inner side of them. It spiked whenever I landed, and when walking it was horrible. My running form is good, and I usually don't go that fast, my legs are tired before my lungs are generally. Any ideas what this could be? Or is this something…

Should I be worried?
Earlier I went out for a run, about half way into it, I felt this aching pain just below my pectoral muscles. It made me feel slightly sick, and walking did not help it, sitting down on a bench for a few minutes made it subside. Should I try running in a couple of days again to see if the pain is reoccurring and go to my…

Food containers for food on the go?
College starts in just under 2 weeks and I'd like to be able to bring my own prepared food so I know whats in it etc... I'm in the UK looking for some tupperware boxes or similar which are divided (so I can have meat in one section and veggies/other in the other side). But I can't find any like this, I've tried big chain…
