This issue started around 2 Sep. Latest update on Twitter from FitBit says they hope to have it fixed in a couple weeks. Loads of unhappy FitBit owners as the interoperability with MFP is a big deal.1 -

Glad it’s not just me! Random exercise calories being added last few days; logged out & in, both Fitbit & MFP, disconnect & reconnect. Still the same. Confusing!1 -
