It just seemed a like a lot! It was so disheartening to see it this morning

I suppose the essence is don't be a dick and mind your own *shrug*

Cracking me up!

If you think people don't know this already then you are sorely mistaken. I really am at a loss why you think this sort of rant at people is in anyway helpful? Yes i am sure it is very frustrating for you to see people lying about their motivation to eat food they know is bad for their weight-loss and it must have you…

Well nothing makes me feel empowered and ready to gain control of my physiological need to eat high fat high sugar foods than being told i need to "stop eating it". Not sure what compelled you to have a pop at people who struggle with overeating and why they do it but its not helpful.

Have read all the replies but just leave her alone. Antagonising her over her food and weight choices isn't going to encourage her to do anything. Perhaps she, like me, refuses to believe because the prospect of losing weight is daunting and frightening and you don't feel that you have the willpower or deserve the results…

For me its the love of eating out, the love of cooking and the evenings spent doing nothing or drinking beer. Struggling to not "treat" myself to a slice of cake or a huge sandwich most days because "i deserve it". I'd rather feel full than have the fleeting happiness of a biscuit or a chocolate bar but it doesn't stop me…

I've lost 14lbs and i haven't noticed, some people say my face looks thinner

I tried MRS's last year, got three days in and felt awful, over sweet, not filling and a waste of money. I thought it was a good "cheat" way of not having to think too hard about food during the day but ended up miserable and quickly went back to eating actual food.

I eat all of mine back as im on 1200cals and i think i'd murder someone if i didn't
-
At the moment im 28 and was losing (had a few months break) around 1 - 2lbs a week. After losing 14lbs i am yet ot see much difference so perhaps that is a good indicator that my body isn't going through a drastic change
-
Fingers crossed, i know at a size 12 ten years ago the belly hang isn't there so we shall wait and see.
-
I knew that would be the answer! Well worst case scenario is i tuck it into my knickers and enjoy knowing most people won't notice

I swaer this thread has made me more confused! I'm 5ft, 28 and wanting to lose about 70ish lbs. I am on 1200cals, eating back most my excercise cals and seemed to be losing steadily-ish (i have had a bad week with birthdays and events so not lost anything for a bit) but now i hear i can eat more and lose? I should eat less…
-
Thank you for saying this, now totally confused how i can eat loads and lose weight if eating less means im losing weight. Sodding confusing.

Bristol person here, trying to lose about 4 more stone, done one already, on 1200 diet but eating back calories, feel free to add me (but ignore this weekends sh*tstorm of a diet, its my birthday!)

How do you all know its a myth? Was there a paper? Genuine question if not clear!

Probably the amount of beer i was drinking 2-4 pints 3-4 times a week and the days i wasn't cooking for two id buy a ready meal (for two people) and eat the lot. Or eat rounds of toast, butter and jam/peanut butter an hour before i served dinner as a "snack". The constant grazing too, if it wasn't nailed down i'd probably…

Hello, i live in a flat and cannot afford to weight train in the gym and was recommended these bands, will they help firm and tone? I'd love to be lifting heavy but this seems like a compromise for now?

Every morning usually but only log the losses, something very exciting about seeing your weight not shifting for 3 days then suddently a lb has gone. It keeps me happy, i don't get obsessed and its a small pat on the back.

Bristol. UK here! Inked, pierced, more of a coffee drinker myself but i'll have tea if the mood takes me. Feel free to add, id love a few more UK friends

i would assume height and fat distribution is a factor?

Most people either meet online or through friends so you need to get out there and widen your social circle if hacking through the guys that are after one thing (and nothing wrong with that!) is too much hard work. Like someone else suggested, volunteer, start a new hobby, take a fitness class and get to meet people.…

Cannot wait to add my own after to this thread once i have lost some poundage!
-
Ah thanks for this! I have lost 10- 7lbs so far (not sure how much exactly as did first weigh in on a duff set of scales) and it is getting easier. I will certianly check out the groups, thank you.

I agree with constantly tugging at clothes comment, i am constantly having to hoik up my underweat and tights as they roll down over my gut. I can't go out barelegged for more than a few minutes before my thighs rub raw (though i appriciate this is a problem for most women it doesn't help that i am overweight). I can't…

I could definately have a go at eating less bread and potatos as its my go to "easy" food (sandwiches, mash, rice, pasta etc) if that seems to help? I have fallen into a trap pf "lazy dieting" where i am eating no breakfast, a sandwich, crisps and a choccy bar for lunch then a more balanced neal for dinner where in reality…

Hi all, thnakas for your encouragement, in the UK it seems you are not offered any medication for PCOS and you ar epretty much just told to loe weight and keep it off. I will look into the suppliments though and read the link thank you. It seeems weekends are the hardest so perhaps making more of an effort ot plan a high…
