This can backfire. It's how I ended up married.

Who said anything about Oz? You do your crazy corset thing. You clearly didn't come here for reason, just seeking validation. Carry on.

Sea World has seats outside of their thrill rides for concerned riders to check if they fit before going into the queue. It's usually right at the entrance of the queue. Many of the rides also have a few larger seats to accommodate passengers with chest spans over a certain size.

You say you've done your research , but 10 minutes on Google led me to statements from medical professionals that waist training is ineffective, kinda stupid, and can be hazardous. Everything from indigestion, regurgitation, bowel twisting and necrosis, fainting, atrial fibrillation...... Maybe okay for that one fancy…

There is no such thing as a metabolism booster. And if itWorks! makes it, that's even more of a reason to not buy it. The only way to boost your metabolism is to add lean mass and reduce fat through strength training. Even then, it isn't extremely significant. The only thing that really works is eating in a deficit.

Yep. Lots of free wine. You need it to wash down those awful chews they give you.

I went to a "party" at a neoghbor's house. Being the fittest woman there, they asked to wrap me. I pulled up my shirt so they could take a before pic, in weird light of course. Then wrapped, then stood around getting hammered on free wine for 2 hours while reading the ingredients out loud on the other products (horny goat…

I like Cocoa Puffs and Frosted Mini-Wheats. Both have great iron content (25% and 90% RDA, respectively). But I always measure with a food scale and rarely eat them for breakfast. They make much better evening snacks.

I eat it only because it tastes good, and I don't like chocolate that is too sweet or has a lower melting temp. In other words, I don't like milk chocolate. As for flavonoids, the research is inconclusive, and i don't rely on inconclusive evidence to justify my decision to eat it.

A lot of people confuse the feeling of being overfull with satiety in the beginning. You're used to overeating, and your stomach is used to feeling overfull. It can take some time to learn the difference between being overfull, full, sated, not hungry, and hungry. This time around, it has taken me about 2 months to get…

Pills don't work long term. They barely work short term. A better approach would be to track your calories, weighing your food for accuracy, and making sure you're getting adequate lean protein and fiber for satiety. That works long term.

I have been eating Pure Protein Plus protein bars (200 cal, 20 g protein, 15-17 g fiber; buy at Walmart) for either snacks or part of a meal. Also, sometimes Trutein protein powders (get at bodybuilding.com). The bars are pretty filling. Trutein just tastes good. Right now, we are trying a new brand, Myprotein, that is…

When you are really in love, you'll know when to say it. If you doubt whether he will say it back, then it's not time.

It's really easy to avoid the threads that give generic compliments, relatively easy to make friends here, and even easier to ignore people who irritate you. What others do on this site, date or not date, hump or dump, is not my business.

I went through something very similar when I went into maintenance. It worked for about a year, then in the second year of not logging, I noticed the weight creeping back up, so I started logging again. It wasn't a lot of weight, just enough to necessitate a small deficit. There is nothing wrong with not logging food. If…

Who puts lard on a cupcake? You use butter unless you're making a meat cupcake. Moderation is knowing you can have a cupcake once in a while without freaking out and misrepresenting it to make it sound gross.

Have you tried bralettes? VS sells them, and I found some that were pretty and comfortable at Kohls, even padded. There are lots of choices for underwire-free bras now.

Track your food, and take everything one day at a time, one week at a time. Don't say "I need to lose x pounds." Say "my goal is to lose 3 pounds this month." Or whatever a short term goal you have is. No food will derail you. No specific exercise is mandatory. You've lost a good bit of weight. Be proud of your efforts.…

You may have a stress fracture or tendinitis. Go to the doctor. Also, probably time to change shoes.

Absolutely. What I don't enjoy is bland. I used to confuse healthy with bland. Life's not all plain chicken breast and salad. Once I got busy modifying recipes to fit my macros and calorie requirements, I REALLY started to enjoy healthy foods. And no, I don't eat cauliflower.

$390 in two weeks???!!!!

Wireless speakers in the garage. The whole neighborhood knows when we are lifting. I've always gone to gyms that play music, so never really need my phone to do anything other than record lifting stats.
-
I didn't start lifting until I was 40. I'm almost 44, and while things have slowed down a little, and maintenance is slightly harder, it's a matter of a few calories. It takes just a little bit more mindfulness, but nothing extreme or too difficult.

Save even more money and calories: Make at home and put it in a travel mug. The upside is you never, ever have to drink any of those horrible starbucks roasts.

Recoup really works. Also, if you're gaining but not eating a surplus of calories, it's likely water retention that comes from a new exercise routine (or if you've changed your diet, it could also be bloating). Give that time to settle out.

Like my mother always said, "The best kind of advice is unsolicited and mildly judgmental." That woman. She's so insightful.
-
It depends entirely on what you're eating. If it is from a box, the only really accurate way to do it is to use a food scale. When making a recipe, it's a little harder.
-
Get a food scale and stick to a serving of it. I will never give up real pasta.

I wore the Wei Rui for 2 years and replaced them with the Crossfit. The heel height is the same. The difference is in the more flexible toe box in the Crossfit. The Wei Rui feels more like wood from heel to toe where the Crossfit is a hard composite plastic with a bend at the ball of the foot. But the heel height is 3/4".…

If you are going to bulk, you MUST work your total body. Don't neglect your lower body in the hopes of evening things out. To get the anabolic growth you're thinking about, you're going to need to make sure all your major muscle groups are used. Keep your nutrition dialed in. Watch your macros carefully, and don't go full…
