Nine stone = 126, which is underweight for your height. It looks like you should be between 135-180 pounds to be in the healthy weight range. Right now, you're 147. That's pushing it a tad low. You definitely have unhealthy body image issues, and I concur that you should talk to your counselor! For now, maybe try lifting…

Obsessing over logging makes me think about food a lot more. But lately it's getting easier to recognize real hunger vs. desire. Also, I've heard a lot of times when you think you're hungry, you're just thirsty and should drink water.

I've heard about this, but I'm concerned about its sustainability. I know I personally needed to ease into a new lifestyle, and if I did something drastic for a set 21 days, day 22+ would be a binge session. Also 3.8 pounds in 4 days is just water weight, and though it's motivating now, it might be demotivating to gain…

I put on 40 pounds from cookies (emotional eating), but that was because I typically had 3000 calorie days without exercise. Since logging, I've found I can still eat a lot of cookies as long as I stay under my calorie goal for the day (with exercise to help), and now I've lost 23 pounds and 7% body fat doing so.

Exactly. I actually WANT people to know, because I prove you can lose weight and still eat copious amounts of sweets.
-
Even if mine was open, if you looked at it to see how I've successfully lost weight, you'd be surprised. I eat a TON of sweets. Yesterday I had 800 calories worth of cupcakes. So you really don't need to see what other people eat. Just eat what YOU like as long as it fits in your goals.

There's nothing wrong with weekly averages, MonsoonStorm. Some people want the freedom to eat more one day and less the next. Using your logic, your body also doesn't have a daily bank. "Oh, it's midnight! Better reset."
-
Oh, and I should add that since my mindset is that I eat what I want within my budget, my mentality is no longer "I can't have this" but instead "I don't want to spend the calories on this when I'd rather have this." It keeps me from feeling restricted. So however many calories are in that Fiber One bar, you would have…

I'm not on a diet. I eat what I want. But I stay under calories and am losing weight. I love cake and chocolate. So I'm going to eat cake and chocolate. Daily. Since I also workout everyday, it's almost effortless to keep my indulgences in my calorie budget. It's important for me to be happy, because if I wasn't happy…

Personally, they make me feel full for a good part of the day. Plus they seem to fuel my workouts.

Edamame in pods confuses me. For some packages, I'm not sure if the weight is with the pods or the beans only.

You could be underlogging your food or overlogging your exercise or both. If your goal is one pound a week, it only takes 250 calories worth of errors each day to bring it down to 0.5. Try to not eat back exercise calories, and make sure you're using a food scale.
-
Can you plan ahead? Eat less earlier since you know you will be eating more later.
-
Definitely water weight. Not long ago, I lost 7 pounds in 7 days with one weird trick called "That time of the month."

I'm all for their workout programs, but I'm annoyed at how scammy Beachbody and the coaches are. I know the nutrition claims are true, and the chocolate shake is admittedly tasty, but I hate drinking my calories, and I don't want to support a MLM scheme. It's overpriced, and the coaches overdo their excitement to the point…
-
You don't need a Beachbody coach or Beachbody products. I personally don't trust them, because they're way too hyped up about everything since they get commission. I love and swear by P90X, but I do it with friends, and we keep each other accountable. The products and the coaches just feel too scammy to me, and that's even…

Keep busy (do something that occupies your hands), make room in your calories for it, or go to bed early. I usually do the latter. I'm starving right now, but I know I'll be in bed soon.

I heard lifting even burns less than what a heart rate monitor says. The nice thing is that having more muscles ups your metabolism, though.
-
I'm not sure there's a way. Drives me nuts, too. I usually just look at the food calories and my original goal number. You could also wait until the end of the day to log exercise. The nice thing about the reports is that you can view total calories instead of net.

Yep, they both go hand in hand! Exercise improves my mood, and meds improve my mood enough to give me motivation to exercise and make it so I don't turn to food for comfort a much. Thanks for the friend request! I hope we can keep each other motivated! :)

I'm not wealthy, and I check mine maybe 2-4 times a month.

Welcome! You're on track with knowing you need weight loss buddies. If you can, keep searching for local friends to workout with to keep you accountable and give you a reason to get up and go, because I know from experience that depression makes it extremely hard to do the smallest tasks, and it's easy to make excuses to…

My pastor also stressed that Lent is supposed to be kept secret. And he read the passage that said people who tell others have already received their reward. So it's interesting to me how often people will say, "Look at me! Look at what I'm giving up!"[

Eating more than you think (food scale helps) and burning less than you think (heart rate monitor helps) are both huge culprits.
