I feel stuffed if I eat too frequently. It takes about 2 hours for food to leave the stomach and another couple for it to go through the small intestine. Some people could take longer. Maybe some take a little less. What food is eaten also comes into play. At any rate if I eat all these small frequent meals I just feel…

Is there a medical reason? If not a reasonable amount of bread won't be a problem.

How much sodium do you get? Sometimes when we get a lot of vegetables we get less sodium due to the food itself not having added sodium even if we use salt when we cook. Maybe you need more sodium. I hope you get it all sorted out! What were your symptoms if you don't mind my asking?

Funny thing, I only get men flirting with me when I look like hammered hell.
-
I gag when I hear the "J word". BLEGH! It is applied to everything these days. I refuse to call it a journey!

You just listed changes to your previous lifestyle which means you now have an altered lifestyle which means you changed your lifestyle. A change can be a small as adding a vegetable at each meal or adding an hour each day to gym activity. You changed your lifestyle. Whether you like it or not.

I don't know. It's all mental I suppose. When a commitment towards a healthy diet and we look towards changing how we eat as a part of our life it's more meaningful. Think of dating. Some people date with no intentions of a serious relationship. Others are looking for a commitment with that person who makes their life…

Diets DO work. Just not the "diet" we see mentioned. When people say they are ON a diet this usually implies a short term change in their way of eating for what they hope to be a permanent result which usually is not permanent because they did not make a permanent change. When we hear someone say something like, "MY diet i…

The fat molecule thing is absurd. That person is ignorant on this subject.

Possibly! Just serve it to friends and tell them it's "Mouseamole! LOL! :D

Low carb does not necessarily equal keto. But to answer the question I choose low carb because I feel my best when my carbs are lower. I keep them under 150 g a day. I do my best not to have more than 30 g of carbs at any meal or snack. They make me sleepy, hungry, and I have a lot more water weight on higher carbs. No…

I know! I was just saying I have never heard of adding cottage cheese to guacamole! My step dad used to put cottage cheese in his salsa. He thought it was the best thing in the world.

I have never heard of adding cottage cheese to guacamole. LOL!
-
Sorry but EWWWW! That sounds terrible! I do love cottage cheese so I just have that on the side, and I usually like my avocados sliced with a little salt. My husband may enjoy your concoction though. Maybe I'll put that in his lunch this week.

You're welcome! I also struggle a little with getting my other elements. I think what I am going to do is change it up a little. I think having maybe two days a week which are mostly plant based, will be my 800 g of fruit and vegetables days, and the other days maybe I will just go for 600 g. That should make it easier to…

And if you read mine you would see that I also said the same. Different wordage. You claim I was playing semantics but also agree? Interesting. Please see this line in my previous comment. "Maybe for people who struggle such a website may not help, but Instagram is not to blame."
-
How so? I am stating the reality. This low self esteem problem has been around long before even the internet was born. Also even long before the age of photo shopping and air brushing images until they no longer resemble real people anymore. This is just true. We can't blame an age old problem on new things.
-
Only if you allow it. We all have a free choice in whether we go to Instagram. It is easy to blame a single website, but even the OP states that she has, "been struggling with low self esteem ... forever!" Maybe for people who struggle such a website may not help but Instagram is not to blame. There is a deeper problem…

I don't think we can blame feeling bad about our bodies on Instagram.

Here is why: "Do potatoes count towards my 5 A DAY? No. Potatoes are a starchy food and a great source of energy, fibre, B vitamins and potassium. In the UK, we get a lot of our vitamin C from potatoes. Although they typically only contain around 11-16mg of vitamin C per 100g of potatoes, we generally eat a lot of them.…

Only if it leads to constipation. Meaning the ummm... "blockage" will show up on the scale and once you set it free the scale will reflect that. You must drink enough water with a high fiber diet.

Stinky belly button? Well we have heard things that you wouldn't believe. This is totally mild. Try cleansing the area and drying it well a couple of times each day. Maybe use a hair dryer on low heat to get it free of excess moisture. Apply cornstarch or a talc free baby powder to help with any moisture build up from…
-
I see your point. But you know there are always "those" people who have some general problem with just being rotten. I hope the OP is able to get those types who keep playing this game to step off and just let her be.

I am speaking in reference to the idea that the effort should be kept a secret. Again, not everyone can just eat a cookie and "make it fit" because one cookie at work turns into a whole pack of cookies after work. Not everyone wants to eat that cookie or whatever the item may be. So you do it your way and other people will…

The fact is you may eat what ever amount of carbs and fats you choose no matter what MFP tells you.
-
Nitpicking about what your motive is "should" be aside, you need to work on the lean mass as was stated in the second comment. Do you have a gym partner? Maybe getting together with someone else who needs accountability may help. You will think twice before letting someone down who is counting on you. Find a gym partner.…

My point is that you can't lose a lot of weight and expect it NOT to eventually come up. There are some people who are spiteful and hateful and once they see someone succeed where they have either failed or simply not tried, or are upset that someone is getting attention where they are not will do things like try to…

It is sabotage. If someone knows chocolate is your weakness, and they also know you are trying to avoid it and they stick it in front of you they are attempting to sabotage your efforts.
-
That makes sense. These days I wouldn't be surprised if someone were filtering bottled water.
-
So what happens when people say, "Have you lost weight?" Should one say, "I am not discussing that with anyone ever." People will notice eventually. Also no one should have to avoid talking with people they do trust because someone else may hear it and act like a *unicorn* who needs a foot in the *rainbow*.
