  • I use Nutrisystem. I love it. The frozen food/non frozen combination. It has assisted me with portion control, has assisted me with recipes and support when needed. And yes there are flex meals where you have to prepare meals yourself. Nutrisystem actually weans you off their food while continuing to give advise. I am…
  • I was just thinking of you ...three more weeks.. Wow you did great! You will lose the weight, don't worry. I hope you post when baby arrives. I'm so excited for you and I don't even know you LOL.
  • I think mine also stopped syncing calories...I never use them so I didn't really pay attention. I'm recharging mine fitbit charge2 now so ...I'll check later.
  • I have been very good since sept 2016. I have treats built into my menu so I look forward to them everyday. Since the holidays I've been having a little extra of things I don't normally treat myself too but I planned and kept them within my calories. Last weekend girl scouts cookies were delivered had a few but remained…
  • Love your post and your insight, I am going to share this thread with a friend to see if it will help her. She has over 100 lbs to lose and just can't seem to get with the program.
  • I'm 65. I've been on mfp since Sept 2016 and have lost 59 lbs to date. Right now its slowed way down but there are also days I just don't exercise at all or do walk but don't work up a sweat. So mfp works. I am also a daily weigher.. who eats 1200 calories a day I see a pattern to my weight loss, there may be times I don't…
  • My daughter works nights, she has been trying to eat a good dinner (high calorie) before she leaves, then coffee during the night and a light breakfast in the morning. She just misses lunch, on those nights as there is never time anyway. If there is time she will eat a salad or whatever they order in.
  • I always save calories for night snacking. I like to watch tv and snack though thats not really a good habit and one I she stop but..thats what I like so I don't feel deprived.
  • I love fitbit. I have the zip for about 3 years, and now I upgraded to the charge2. I also bought my daughter the blaze. All are very good and motivate me. I also don't feel like I got anything accomplished if I don't see it. And I agree with another poster I do not understand how anyone could complain about their customer…
  • You are one amazing young woman!
  • Good job!
  • It works but as with anything if you go back to over eating your allowed calories or in Atkins carbs you gain the weight back. I like my bread and pasta so I eat and stay within calories. I've done Atkins in the past and did well but I went back to eating breads, pasta and too much of it so I gain. This time there is no…
  • Great job so far original poster! My rewards is going down a size and getting some new clothing. It feels good to feel good about yourself and it feels even better to look into a mirror and say Yes!
  • My husband uses fiber con in his coffee each morning and a stool softener, Not laxative. Along with some cantaloupe and he is good. Also a cup of yogurt a day
  • I've worn the fitbit zip for about 3 years. This Christmas I upgraded to the charge2. I love it. I purchased a blaze for my daughter and she really likes it too. I've stuck with fitbit because of their amazing customer service.
  • Yes once you post you have to click or hit return on the reply button. :)

  • Hi ladies, just an update on me. Still walking my 10,000 steps though not at once. I am down in labs more again my states were 65 years old. 5'6", sw 224 and now 166.4 . Feeling better about myself. Another 17 lbs to my 1st goal. Gee that sounds more doable than when I began this journey. The one thing I have learned so…
  • It does help me, I count my calories on mfp too. I am on month 6 of nutrisystem. I am eating more and more "regular" meals (not nutrisystem) but now I am feeling good with the amount. I have 18 more lbs to go to reach my goal. I have found eating veggies helps a lot. I eat mostly broccoli or cauliflower. Never had a taste…
  • LOL Thanks I sure do hope I continue. I'm in my so called "golden years" been this road too many times I plan to continue down new roads and keep on going.
  • What this poster said "kommodevaran" I found the comment right on and very insightful. Pretty much what I am doing. And I also think that you have to come to think that this will be your "normal" way of eating, of course you won't always be in deficit but you will always need to make yourself accountable by logging and…
  • Sorry your having a hard time and have had difficult years. Gastric surgery is so permanent and so invasive it would be my very last resort, and still requires a "diet" press for the rest of your life. I am pretty happy here on mfp. I can eat all I want within my calories I will have up and downs but I log everyday and…
  • I weight 185 and I have a short term goal of 165 (by June) and long term goal of 140. It's important because I've never been this heavy before and I want to feel comfortable in my own skin again. That was a period of time when I was. [/quote] You can friend me if you would like support. I am much older than you lol I'm 65.…
  • It took me some time to recognize real hunger, even today after being on my weight loss for 5 months. Before each meal I drink 10 oz of water. When I finish eating if I think I am still hungry for more I drink another. Then I find something to do preferably outdoors even If its just walking around a bit looking at all the…
  • AS the above poster said..I am basically your height, and also sedentary, though I walk in total about 10,000 steps a day but that includes my normal just moving about. My sw was 224 cw is 168 and my goal is 150 I too eat whatever but stay within 1200 calories and rarely eat back any exercise I get because in reality I'm…
  • I understand what she means by "new normal" at least for me I will never be able to go back to what was eating "normal" for me. Because it wasn't..it was too many calories for my body. If I went back to "normal" I would gain all my weight back. I will have a new "normal" and that will be setting up my goal to maintain and…
  • Well I am 65 now so thank gosh this is all behind me. But I remember well. I had the worst ever PMS, cramps and pain so bad it felt like my insides were dropping out. I also had heavy periods but thank gosh they only lasted 3-4 days. I did go on the pill and it helped me with some of the pain but I always had the worst PMS…
  • Its there on mine. I press the + then select breakfast lunch or whatever my food comes up but up on top is a search bar just type in what your looking for.
  • I have an aria and its been extremely accurate, The only thing I do notice is you cannot weight yourself twice, get off and back on as that will cause a discrepancy. As someone else mentioned fitbit has an amazing customer service. I recently upgraded from their zip to a charge 2 and thought about apple as I have several…
  • Sorry Elphie...Its a mom thing...not a good thing we do I too am guilty at times. She probably knows how hard you worked at losing it in the first place and doesn't want to see you gain the weight back. But she needs to breathe and realize this is all part of the pregnancy which has been very hard on you. This too shall…
