No exercise you do for even an hour a day will reverse 40 hours a week at a desk slouched over. Or more if you slouch every time you sit and are hunched over your phone. My posture was seriously messed up.......found an amazing Chrio who is fixing it. I also had to make a ton of lifestyle changes from the pillow I sleep…

Pretty sure my mom bought ours at Walmart for like $15 and it's worked great for years. Just had to replace the batteries a few times.

My binge eating is directly related to stress. I've taken many steps to help reduce stress in my life as well as learn to handle it better. This year I had a lot of bad stuff happen to me, including some injuries that prevented me from working out. I started binge eating again and put on 30 pounds in 6 months (after having…

I'm 5'8 and have gone from 228 to 175.....the 1800 sounds a little high if anything especially if you aren't doing a lot of workouts. But if you plugged it into MFP just give it a few weeks and see what happens. Definitely sounds like you are just withdrawing from the snacky junky food. You just have to gut it out and…

If we have your height we can help you check your TDEE. Also what is your day job outside of the BB workouts? How do you feel after 6 days? Do you feel hungry all the time? Do you feel like you could get away with eating a little less? Etc.

I do a lot of traveling for races, which can really be a pain because my diet around race time is super tight. Not only do I make sure I don't under or over eat - I make sure to eat foods I know my body will like and will give me real nutrients for the race. Foods I'll bring that don't require any prep - nuts, tuna,…

Consult with your doctor/ortho/PT/chiro/etc. I would highly recommend you don't just slap on a brace and rush back into working out. I could list 10+ athletes I know personally that have destroyed ankles from doing that and will always deal with ankle issues now. It's not worth it. Take the time to explore exercises you…

This can be true with any and every exercise you ever do. You should always make sure that you are not too fatigued to properly perform an exercise. And planks are one of those things I routinely see terrible form with.

I did two sprint distance TRI's a few years ago. Loved the overall idea and training - but I really couldn't stand cycling enough to get into it. Had also discovered obstacle course racing around the same time and feel completely in love with trial running, crawling under things, and climbing over things lol. I had taken a…

Have you changed your eating habits during the day? I would assume your stress levels are higher and you may not be getting as much sleep. Have you started eating more convenient foods that are less filling during the day leaving you hungry at night? I would evaluate your entire eating habits, not just the night time. But…

All whole foods and ingredients. Local foods that are in season. Tons of organic veggies and occasional fruits. Wild, free range, grass-fed, etc. meats and raw dairy. Currently 75-80% of my diet is this way. I'd like it to be 90% with just the occasional indulgence.

My local community store has ground fresh stevia leaves. Very strong but completely unprocessed and no chemicals added. Definitely has that stevia taste to it. But it works. If you stay away from sugar enough you will find yourself not even wanting stevia in things. Like I stopped adding it to my morning tea.

Learn what portions are with a food scale. Log your food to start understanding how many calories you really are supposed to eat in a day. Learn about quality food by research (or just start eating way more veggies and quality meats, etc). You will notice they fill you up much more than sugary junk food, and therefore you…

How many calories do you have MFP set to? Are you hitting over/under that every day? By how much? Are you logging your calorie burns and eating them back? How are you calculating your burns? Are you sure you are logging the serving sizes correctly? Some entries in MFP can be confusing.

What is your current activity level? Despite popular belief running is not something everyone can and should just start doing if they want to. I don't mean to sound harsh here....but being overweight and running (most likely with terrible form) can really damage your body and cause a lot of pain and injuries. However - the…

Yep! I feel like diets are a pitfall for this because people just want to be healthy, happy and skinny without really putting for effort and making a real change. So some people may find use in these services, but it can definitely make things seem more complicated than they need to be. And yes, unfortunately deter people…

I use Bulletproof Brain Octane (aprox 3 tbsp per day). It's slightly more expensive but it has more C8 then most other MCT oils. In an ideal world this is how I use keto/IMF/LCHF/wholefoods - 6am - big glass of salt water with lemon and 1tbsp brain octane 8am - black or green tea with 1 tbsp brain octane 12:30pm - big…

Agreed 100%. I wish family gatherings did not have to equal food. And I wish coworkers would just mind their own business and not unload all their leftover family junk into the café. Sigh. Soon it will be over!!!

Depends on your definition of healthy. You can certainly bake chicken with nothing on it (add a little cayenne pepper to help speed up the metabolism). I used to do that when I was on a strict body building style diet. Now I'm more LCHF/keot/wholefoods/etc......and I ate a few servings of chicken legs and thighs this week…

While I agree with your point, I am curious if the multi-billion dollar industry surrounding processed junk food also bothers you?

Take a listen to this, entertaining and insightful, don't let the name fool you, it's about plant based diets: https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/2016/09/how-to-lose-131-pounds-by-eating-meat-the-rick-rubin-podcast/ I'm not medical professional and I haven't seen this particular documentary -- but I do believe that a more…

See what your MD says but I'd bet they recommend rest and PT. Just realize that a PT may or may not be the best solution for your problem. I'd highly recommend also consulting with a Chrio. I looked down on them for years until my body became so uneven I was almost crippled from doing nothing at all. Depending on your…

I caved and started purchasing some snacks from Dave Aspry's Bulletproof website. I love my whole food yummy meals that I make, but I sometimes get snacky and since I still live with my parents (who eat like crap) - it helps me out a lot to have some quick open and eat things that fall in my WOE. I was worried about eating…

Well there is real Paleo diet.....and then there is the evolved Paleo filled with junk food diet that a lot of people are on..... I prefer to just eat a local (when possible) whole food diets with next to no processed items and ingredients.

A - it sounds like you need more sleep. 5 hours a night is NOT going to help you with maintaining a healthy weight. B - I would urge you to continue seeing a professional. C - Don't let the name of this podcast fool you.....take a listen, it has to do with some of the negative sides of plant based diets:…

Not sure of your personal health conditions, but there is a lot of science out there suggesting that we don't need that much protein. That being said....80-100g of protein really isn't that hard to hit as you get protein from lots of food sources, not just your main protein. Have you logged your meals for a week to see…

My boyfriend is getting stuff from EPIC Bar and Bulletproof.....and some Black & Greens 70%+ mini chocolate bars I found that are so adorable....and I may steal them haha

I know Dave Aspry has good stuff at Bulletproof, but you'd need to check on the GF.

MAF is my life right now. So so SOOOO much endurance training lol. I've been using a lot of bulletproof stuff........but these I shall have to look into!

Ugh I can't find the podcast I want to share. But there was one I listened to this past summer while going through a lot that really hit home. It is SO much harder to lose weight when you are stressed out about stuff. Basically a long the lines of what others are saying. But there is some science behind it to back it up.…
