It may be too late now but I would recommend trying different protein powders beforehand. Nothing like starting your first day and realizing that everything you have is awful!

I have PCOS as well but have been off Metformin for a couple of years since I've been able to keep my A1C in the 5s through diet and exercise. I'm hopeful that the other issues with PCOS - irregular periods, infertility, weird hair - will wane after surgery. Fingers crossed!!

I don't know that I had a food funeral before I started this liver reduction diet, but there were a few things I wanted to eat beforehand. I didn't overdo anything and still worked to keep my weight on a downward trend because I didn't want to gain any weight and risk my chance of getting surgery - my surgeon apparently…
