  • Check out the "eat more to weigh less/em2wl". I had a plateau for several months while eating at a deficit and wasn't losing. I ate at maintenance (2600ish calories) for ten days, then reduced by 500 and now the scale is moving again and I'm able to eat more than when I hit my plateau. Definitely give it a try. Some people…
  • I've lost about 50 lbs from my highest weight ever. I don't consider any day a cheat day because I eat treats almost everyday. I do have high calorie days on Friday and Saturday where I eat at maintenance just to boost my metabolism back up since I reduce my cals during the week. Plus by Friday I'm hungry from eating at a…
  • Find your TDEE based on your weekly activity and eat that amount for 7-10 days then reduce it by 500 cals. My fitbit sends me weekly reports and tells me my average calorie burn for that week. My fitbit is the Charge HR, it records my heart rate from my wrist. Over the ten days keep your activity the same and add lifting…
  • Check out "eat more to weigh less". I ate at maintenance for 10 days then subtracted 500 cals for my cut and started losing weight again. Starving yourself and being hungry all the time isn't necessarily better, especially when the scale isn't moving. My weight stayed the same for months eating less than 1500 cals. With my…
  • Constipation! This is why I stopped drinking shakes, they always back me up. Even boost shakes and slim fast shakes caused this same problem.
  • I've done about 3-24hr fast but mine were for spiritual reasons. Lots of prayer for strength and a closer connection with YHWH. As far as weight loss it works in the short term. When I break fast I can't eat as much because I get full sooner. Usually I drop about 2 pounds. I also dabbled in fast such as the 12/12 and…
  • I swear vit D3 is one of the best kept secrets when it comes to hypoglycemia and other ailments.
  • I had hypoglycemia for years and had to eat regularly to keep from feeling dizzy or shaky. The thing that helped my hypoglycemia come under control was taking 10,000 iui of vitamin d3 a day. Since I started doing that I no longer even think about hypoglycemia or suffer the symptoms. Try it and see if this simple solution…
  • I nursed all three of my kids for 12-18 months. My nutritionist told me to eat around 2000 cals a day and I steadily lost eating at that calorie level. Having your calories to low will definitely effect your milk supply. My kids also never drank formula or from a bottle. Try eating 2000 cals and see if that works anything…
  • I was thinking 23ish percent. You look amazing!
  • I ate at TDEE maintenance for 10 days and a couple of days ago started my cut with a 500 cal deficit. So far so good. I'm still testing this out though to really see if eating more will help me lose weight and break through this plateau. I ate vlcd for about a year and my body didn't like that at all. I also did WW and…
  • I would go for at least 3000-3500 cals a day. I eat 2100 cals a day and lose weight and I'm only 5'3. Or you can just start logging your food for a week to get your average calorie in take and subtract 500-1000 and this will create a deficit. I'm no expert but I don't think you should eat under 3000 calories at 6'5…
  • Mon/Thurs- leg day, abs, and 45 mins of cardio Tues/Fri- arm day, and 45 mins of cardio Wed/Saturday- rest day. Always keep the sabbath. I'm usually at the gym for 2 hours on my workout days. I don't throw the weights around or swing them wildly. I focus on technique and form.
  • I have the fitbit charge HR and love it! I purchased it in May and have gotten more active. I also find it to be very accurate with my heart rate even when lifting heavy weights. During cardio I get the same read out as the machines. I burn over 2800 cals on my workout days and have upped my calories. It does take some…
  • I switched over to TDEE not to long ago because I was so hungry on the MFP plan. I set my goals on mfp to "active" since I am and have my calories set at maintenance, so it gives me 2600ish cals to maintain on. I don't plan on ever cutting below 2100 cals again, I mentally can't sustain my workouts on so few calories. Not…
  • Oh and I didn't have to customize my calorie goal because the mfp app adjusted my calories to that of the scooby calculator. I set my stats to "active" on mfp and it put my maintenance cals to 2658ish and this was the same as scooby.

  • I've been following TDEE a for a little over a week now and I like it a lot more than the regular mfp way. I tend to be hungrier on my non workout days and struggled with cals going down on those days. Plus with TDEE a I get to eat more. I don't feel hungry, nor stress about food with TDEE. I honestly wish I would of tried…
  • I agree with the other comments. Definitely not considered strength training.
  • I sent a FR :)
  • I tried the 16:8 for a week and was miserable! I now follow the 14:10 since they said most females do better on this fast/eat schedule. I feel like I'm losing better now that I'm doing 14:10.
  • We cook most of our meals at home because dining out with a family of 5 is way too expensive. I rarely eat fast food. Also about once or twice a month I do a 24 hour spiritual fast. I sent everyone a friend request so hopefully you all will add me even though I didn't take a time to write a message lol
  • Oh dang those pics are depressing but pretty accurate. I weighed in at 207 this morning and looking at these pics I'm definitely around 40-45% bodyfat. I agree with your above statement. Looking at 25% would be dang hard to do at this weight.
  • I've noticed that with LC also.
  • My nutritionist always put me on a 2000 cals diet and I was losing about 1 pound a week following it. I breastfed all 3 of my kiddos for over a years each. Also with my last two I did the Weight Watchers breastfeeding program and it worked very well also and I never had supply issues.
  • Also for those who might not know already, WW has added fitness watches such as garmin, fitbit, UP, etc. to their website. My fitbit automatically syncs to WW and I can clearly see that I was overestimating my activity in the past. My acitivity points (AP) adjust according to how active I am, so no more having to manually…
  • Yeah that would be nice to see them purge more entries. I just always found myself having to guess which entry to follow or having to google to see what the calorie count would be.
  • I love my charge HR but don't find the HR feature to be that accurate but that's probably because I don't wear it high on my wrist as advised. I LOVE the fact that it has a buckle because I don't have to worry about it accidentally falling off. I plan on getting one for my soon to be 11 year old because she thinks it's…

  • I count points (WW) and weigh and measure almost everything. I am pretty good at eye balling also but I always double check. If not measuring is working for you then definitely continue :)
  • Also the getting started guide is pretty straight forward. I used it a couple of times but I am a monthly pass member, so I have etools. I would also advise you to at least eat your daily points. I eat my daily points and weekly points but I learned from the past that I CAN NOT eat my activity points. I seem to over…
