I am currently doing learn to move (level below c2k) to get back into running after injury without overdoing it, while I would love to do strength of something like 30DS at the same time I decided to finish the 4 week program first. I'll move onto c2k after the 4 weeks and introduce strength in the first week which will be…

I used to have a fat gym instructor, but man she could push you to get a good workout. Some days she attended as client to the class. I was young at the time and did find it funny but respected that she was good at what she did dispite weight. I once asked a dr about weight management. She wasn't very helpful and I came…

I think its just slightly different formulas. I checked mine and Fitbit had 1475 and MFP has 1420 for the same weight loss goal. Also can be worth checking if they are synced. Sometimes info is a bit delayed coming across. I.e. MFP might have you at a more active setting than you actually were that day depending on what…

Last year I lost 10kg and my levels changed from 6ish to 5ish which is why I didnt start medication at that time. I had probably regained 2kg when I started medication after experiencing hair loss on top of other symptoms I already had. I am currently in the process of upping medication for the second time and I have…

Personally can do strength after food but not cardio. I'd go a small snack and eat dinner later.

Go see a seamstress to get a quote and compare cost of alterations to new. I have not tended to spend much on clothes so most items would cost more to alter than I originally paid for them. Or fashion/my taste has changed since purchase or on the flip side another reason to alter is whats currently around in shops is just…

Yep less weight = less calories needed to move that body around.

The calculator I used came in at 1159 to maintain HOWEVER your BMI was only 17.2. If you have been tracking for a year you should be able to use your own data to calculate your TDEE. I had a quick peek through your diary and see you eat between 1100-1200 per day. Have you gained/lost/maintained over the last say 2 months.…

I dont wear a night splint but i do massage my foot before i get out of bed of a morning, have shoes ready at edge of bed. My podiatrist also recommended a compression sock. I wear it all day and remove for sleep. I also have orthodtic inserts for runners though to be honest I am not sure they make much of a difference…

Dont wear new running clothes esp sneakers, its not the day to try new socks out etc. Also check out rules about ipods etc if you use yours. Some runs dont let you wear them for safety reasons. 2:30 would be too long for me to run fasted, I like drinking chocolate milk at home before a race, it has enough time to settle by…

My first thought was bike pants which basically look like compression shorts. They help with chafing between legs too.

I am with you. I did the whole 5am workout for months but find it hard to get back into. I have started arvo running but I know with the weather getting hotter and a distance grows I'll probably switch to mornings. I find I am all or nothing, its everyday or not at all. I am trying to fix that mentality atm since I can…

Good luck with it, I have recently had my levels rechecked and am on the 2nd lot of medication adjustment. I inadvertently switched drs as my previous drs office called about a pap smear reminder so asked to do my function test while I was there. New Dr appears to have diff view on what a normal level is as she has…

I second seeing someone. I put up with foot pain until it became unbearable. Then took 6 months off running as I knew what the issue was. I changed shoes etc etc. Anyway since I was pain free on a day to day basis I started walking again and paid for it the next day. Finally went and saw a podiatrist, it was hard to answer…

There is a big dif between an intolerance and an allergy. Having had an intolerance to dairy for a period I can totally understand still having some from time to time. I found that I was super sensitive to dairy that was on its way to going bad etc. It also something I have grown out of just like I grew into it. My…

I am sure they will cover it anyway but you should also know what to do recovery wise after exercise. Is it important to do more stretching or ice the knee etc. and what preventative things you can do eg. strapping etc

Are you still restricting fats following surgery? My surgeon advised to slowly reintroduce a month after surgery. If your still restricting that might explain why your constantly hungry. I didnt have the same side effect so cant give you any advice. I had mine removed several years ago, my main issue was how long it took…

Sugar withdrawals will cause headaches too. For me it was a week of headaches going cold turkey, in bed early every night and took panadol regularly for at least 2 days. How much and when do you drink it? i.e. all day only in the evening? If its all day try stretching out the time between drinks ie. if you have one with…

I cant get into the course material anymore

The 18months came from the fact that empty cells would hang around for approx 12months before the body would know they were no longer required since it actually takes energy to create new cells. Thus why rebounding back to your previous weight seems so easy, if you maintained the lower weight and expelled your excess cells…

The highest I've been is 94kg and lowest 80kg (maybe 79.5 for like a day) but generally have stuck to 90kg for the last 15 years. I have worked hard to get down to 80kg but dont succeed in moving past it. None of my range is a healthy weight for my height. I have maintained around 85kg for 6 months at a time. I've heard…

Just to add, how old are your shoes? I find that my knees start to play up if my shoes are old. I would regularly wear shoes for 2 years or until the sole fell off and i was exercise 4-5 days a week. I mentioned knee pain to my bootcamp instructor and first question was how old are your shoes? She told me that with the…

I bought my step mum an activity tracker with HR monitor as a gift. She experiences teh same thing as you but for a different reason. It actually freaked her out seeing the number, I mean she knew it would be high when she checked it cause she could fee her heart racing and it would panic her more so she'd get more…

I did c25k too. It was great, I wasnt able to run 3 days a week so mine was a little more spread out but I got there in the end. Good shoes is a must, as is building up your exercise. I went from sedentary to running 5-6 days a week in a short space of time as I thought I could just pick back up where I left off with my…

I have the fitbit surge, great if you want the GPS feature without having to take your phone with you on runs. If your not a runner or dont need the GPS than I wouldn't go with this model, its bulky, and I do have tear issues underneath the watch though this doesnt affect performance. I previously had the force which didnt…

I took the fact that he was still trying to lose 6-7pds that he upped his intake by 200 and that was not necessarily what he burnt for the exercise but what he was willing to eat back given his goal is to still lose weight.

Making sure you take the time to stretch properly afterwards and take an ibuprofen. As hard as it is not over doing it. I tend to be all or nothing when it comes to exercise, its 6 days a week or not at all. Currently trying to get over that mentality as it has caused injury which puts me back into the not at all basket…

I have also been told that dehydration causes low blood pressure and being well hydrated will cause it to be slightly higher. The last time I gave blood my blood pressure was about 95/50 which is lower than my normal 120/60. I asked if being well hydrated might be the reason as I had drunk a lot of water in preparation for…

I love your shoulders in #2 but overall prefer #1 not because of the muscle definition but because I prefer that lean look with some muscle as opposed to more in your face muscle.
