OP is not longer a registered user. I hope his son got the transplant.

Your diary seems to have a lot of food missing so it hard to come to a definite conclusion. From what is there, it seems like you are spending a lot of your calories on sweets such as coffee with Agave Syrup, donuts, pastries, Lattes, etc. These will not help you feel full and use a lot of your calorie allotment. (Well, I…

Probably, I didn't know your calories goal when I made that advice. Many times the issue is the person who is having the problem has stuck to a low goal like 1200.
-
If you open your diary, you can get more specific advice. This is what I do. Although sometimes I work through my hunger, I don't always. I have some ~100 calorie snacks that take the edge off when needed. This is in addition to the 5-6 times a day I eat. These meals are about 200-400 calories and I try to ensure I have…

I'm disappointed Diet Pepsi is now aspartame free. It doesn't taste as good.

Sorry, I think most here will disagree with this. This is the fundamental principle of this site. For myself, and I will guess for most of us, continued success at weight loss and maintenance is when I realised I wasn't special, I was obese because of the choices I made. What is your basis for this?
-
You'd could bank some. I don't seem to be able to eat the same amount of calories every day and have a lot blips. So when I go in maintenance, my plan is keep a daily goal that is a deficit to account for blips. As others suggested, go up slowly but for what I'm suggesting, maybe stop at 500 or somewhere else that makes…

Look for Bolthouse Yogurt Salad dressing in the produce section. Has about 1/3 to 1/4 of the calories of typical mayo based dressing and it tastes really good (not as good as mayo, but a lot better than dressings labeled "Low Fat"). Be sure to weigh or measure the servings.
-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ly1NjibK79U 3-5 8 oz serving of coffee seems to be the optimal amount. You're good.

You need to eat all 1200 plus some (50%-75%) of the calories you burn for any cardio activities. If you don't, you will be malnutrited. At 25 lbs to lose, I would challenge your need to be a 1200 calorie diet. I assume you want to lose as quick as possible so you chose the max of 2 lbs/week. If you are not too short, at…

My height can change depending on how much I sleep and the time of day. When I was in the Army, I got measured every month for while. I would differ by an inch with the same socks, same scale, same sargeant doing the measurement.

I just looked at the menu. If I was trying to keep my calories to a minimum, I'd get get half a smoked chicken, corn, green beans, and baked beans. I'd take the green and baked beans home to use s a side in another meal. Or get a salad with chicken on it.

Any of the meats will be fine any likely you can just use the USDA value. Pulled Pork=USDA Pork Shoulder. Brisket is obvious. Get the chichen, decided if you want the skin or not. Basic BBQ, with ribs as the acception, doesn't have sauce on it. That being said, to keep the moisture of the meet, some place will put it in a…

I use a Garmin chest strap (hard one) and my Phone (Galaxy S5) running Endomondo. If you have the right phone, this is the cheapest way to go (~$45). Otherwise, you will need to by watch/HRM set. They start around $75. Endomondo is great b/c it auto loads to MFP>

No, what would imply a nuclear reaction. What is the basis for Assuming you mean by weight, Popcorn pops by the expansion of the water to steam inside the kernel. So for air popped popcorn, popped corn is lighter than the unpopped kernels. But that would mean unpopped should have less calories by weight because there are…

Need to know what you are eating if you want help. Suggest opening your diary.

OP, please consider reading this post. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1 Your plan has been tried by many and they usually fail. Best of luck.

What's up with that? Did some selfish act on his part lead to the fact that his doesn't have a license and now you unselfishly have to drive him around? Real adults outside of places like New York City have licenses (throwing his words back at him). I think you have a long term problem on your hands.

You seemed to have asked two questions. One on detoxing and one on juicing. Detoxes are hoaxes--don't do one. Cased closed. The process of juicing using calls for the peeling of the fruit and sometime straining the juice. These remove the fiber and other nutrients. For weight loss, all you need is a calorie deficit so this…

Make working out the first thing you do after work. Go directly to the gym (or wherever), do not pass go, do not collect $200 (or kids from daycare). 8-5 is 9hrs. Do you have an 1 hr lunch? Do you have to take the whole 1hr? Could you work out then and eat at your desk later?
-
Totally anecdotal, but if I have soreness in my legs from working out, I wrap them in ace bandages, usually when I sleep.
-
No, but I'm not sure if Boxing will be tracked very well using a HRM. HRM correlate heart rate to steady state cardio activities like running and cycling. Although a fitness tracker may have a "Boxing" mode, its accuracy is dubious.
-
OP, I'm afraid you may get a lot of comments that won't be too helpful. To answer your question, yes, that is the only way it is done. To lose fat, you need to eat less calories than your body uses, i.e. eat in a deficit. In this process, you will lose lean tissues (muscle plus other stuff) as well. To help preserve lean…

I do and I think you should if you burn a significant amount. And that is how MFP is set up to work. But you have to figure out how well you are actually measuring your burn. Start by eating back 50%. BTW, don't use your HRM to measure calories burned while lifting or any non-cardio activity. That is not what they are…

I'm not going to disagree because frankly I don't know, but I will say they I have found higher cadence (80-90) and not mashing has been better for my knees.
-
Maybe you have conditioned yourself to shift to soon. How are you monitoring your cadence? I had a Garmin watch and cadence sensor and it had an option to give me an beep when I dropped too low (80 rpm) and different sounding beep when I went too high (95). That is when I shifted. Unless climbing a hill, I still don't…
