Very happy to join for my second round and hoping to keep the momentum going. Seriously need this - don’t mind me joining a couple days late. Been so hard to get back on track while dealing with a lot of stress, but I’ve let it go too far. No more! Happy July 1! Goals for the day: Breakfast - coffee with milk, two slices of toast with hummus Lunch - Chicken sandwich with salad/balsamic Dinner - chicken, mixed veg, and potato Snacks - TBD Activity: 10,000 steps

Day 1: tracked my food and stayed under my calorie goal. Didn’t get a proper exercise in, but dug out my old Fitbit and got a few extra steps in this evening. But it’s a start! Hope you all had a great day.

I’d love to join! The past 6 months have been really rough so I need a push to get back into healthier routines. My goals are to log my food and do some form of exercise at least 3 days a week. Also love the sentiment of this group to not wait until July 1, but start today!

I recently tried unsweetened almond milk when I was making mashed potatoes and out of normal milk. I couldn’t tell the difference at all! Now I intentionally choose the almond milk as it’s also lower calorie win-win!

Just to make sure I’m understanding, the “someone” you are referring to is the animals, right? I don’t see this as problematic as, among other reasons, in the wild you find plenty of animals that kill other animals for food. Even those who cannot survive otherwise. This is a natural sequence of nature and how all flora and…

Contrary to what most people are saying here, I certainly have been influenced by such documentaries. What has influenced me, however, is not the ‘gross’ factor or the nutrition factor either (if I could easily change my eating habits for better nutrition I would have given up sugar long before meat!). It’s also not the…

What is a ‘normal diet’ to you? What you shared as your healthy breakfast sounds totally normal to me and not like ‘diet food’ (not that that makes it unhealthy, just that folks may need a little more to go on to understand what the major difference is to provide any useful feedback). For me, the only thing that might give…

I’m currently doing 30DS as well! Level 1 day 6 today. I am taking some rest days though so not doing it every single day. Good luck everyone!
-
Hi there. Dropping in on this thread. I just recently started 30DS. Planning on week 1 day 4 today. I haven’t kept it up every single day since starting but hoping to do it 4-5 times a week at least! Was anyone else really sore in the beginning? I had to take several days off after testing it out before officially starting…

29 year old here if that’s close enough! I’ve got a little more to lose than you but not too far off. Feel free to add me!
-
I’m too intimidated to even join a local running group. I bet I would be far behind you if I did. You’re not last - you’re just braver than the people who would be behind you who were too afraid to even try! I admire you.
-
29 here! Seems I have a bit more to lose than most of you - looking at losing 40+ lbs here - but would love to have motivation buddies! Particularly those looking to lose slow and steady with sustainable habits. Good luck all!!

In Senegal waist beads are worn by women to attract men through the light jingling noise they make when walking. Yes they are successful if that’s what you’re looking for!

In elementary school: “I just don’t understand. Your sister was a big baby but got all her baby weight off by kindergarten” In middle school when discussing why I need to lose weight: “Don’t you want someone to ask you to prom in a few years??” In high school: “You need to get the weight off. What about when you get…

Definitely looking for more friends on here. Feel free to add me!

I’m also struggling with returned weight gain - so frustrating! But sounds like you’re really committed which is great. Feel free to add me if you want an accountability buddy!

I’m in the same situation- back to where I started. For those of us who have been overweight most of our lives, I think we just need to accept that this is something we’ll always struggle with (or most of us at least!). Most important is just to get right back on track I think and hopefully next time we’ll get back on…

Agreed I should be better about sticking just to water! My schedules for work travel are so crazy (work always goes well into the nights and weekends) that I’ve never been able to fit any kind of workouts in. Maybe should try to at least figure out a way to get some short in-room exercise in though...
