Good morning everybody. Friday, Friday, Friday! That means another week completed in the FB challenge. Weigh in time in a few minutes. Not feeling great about it but that's ok. Can't go back and redo the week, so I'll just keep going forward. Had a great time last night chatting with Carol. An hour just goes way too fast.…

OMG, that's AWESOME Kim!!! SO happy for you to be dropping down a size. I'm almost there myself, I think (16 down to 14). Unfortunately, I don't have much in size 14 but a ton in 12, so guess I getting get moving!!! :) Seriously though, I'm so happy for you. You are totally rockin'!!!!!
-
Awww Cynthia. I understand though. We'll miss you. Sounds like you'll be having a great time. We'll try not to talk too much about you. 143 miles in January? WOOHOO!!!!!!!

Thanks everybody. I think I'm back to normal today (well, as normal as I can be - hehehe). Tom, that's great news from your PT. Kevin, ouch!! Definitely want to be careful and let that muscle heal. Finally, this week is coming to an end. It's just been one of those weeks I would like to forget. Just need to make it through…

Good morning everbody. Last two days have been a bit of a blur, lot of sleeping and watching Netflix. Feeling better today but not 100%. Not great on my eating (ordered out both days but I could have done much worse). Going to be a very bad week on the FB challenge as I've missed a lot of points. That's ok. Not sure how…

I'm here but not completely. Ugh!!!! When is spring starting????
-
TJ, nobody who participated in the Jaunt failed. Not in my book!
-
Oh jeez!!! No, that's supposed to be PM!!!! Grrrrrrr

Ok, I'm going to throw out Saturday at 5:00am Central. This would give us enough time for an hourish long show and make sure Kim will be available for Mom Taxi duty. :) if this doesn't work for anybody, let me know what will work.

Good morning everybody.

Good morning. Sunday and snowing. So no walking today. I had a very good January and now onto February. John, very happy to hear you're still tobacco free. Keep going!!!

Ok, so Carol has asked me if I would host the podcast for the January Jaunters. Next weekend would be perfect and I'm very open to times. I want to have as many people that Carol mentioned join in and listen. So, Hammer, Kevin, TJ, Kris, Kim, DebSue, Chris & Cynthia, what day/time would work best?

Happy Saturday everybody. Heading up the Chicago area for my class and some range time with a friend of mine. Going to do my best on the eating but we'll see how it goes. :) Made a smoothie for the trip and have some veggies and nuts, if I need them later. Heron, the only way I'm going to 'build a booty' is with implants!…

My January Jaunt is over! 45.96 miles for month (jeez, I couldn't go another .04 files - LOSER!!!!!). I feel this was a great challenge for me. I got out, even in the not-so-best of conditions, and did what I knew I needed to do. Thank you again to everybody who came along on this crazy ride of mine. I hope to be able to…

FRIDAY!!!!!! Errands with mom this morning (some good walking) and the last jaunt of the month (need to get those last 4 miles in) are on the schedule for today. Tomorrow I"m heading up to the Chicago area for a weapons retention class and some range time with a friend of mine (who is also taking the class) after. I'll…

Thursday morning (well, MY Friday morning - hehehe). Last day of week 4 of the FB challenge. I feel like it's been a good week for me. Lost out on some points because of not exercising and also having 'fast food' (I consider one of my lunches this week to be 'fast food'. No big deal, not doing the challenge to win anyway.…

Thanks Kim & John. I'm hoping to get some good long hikes done this year, so that will be my challenge. Well that and some race thing in October. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Good morning everybody. It's Wednesday. That is all.... Oops, not yet. Kevin, I have reduced my meat intake quite a bit (yes, still have some bacon for breakfast at work). I stick to fish now. Interesting about how meat is affecting your weight loss.
-
Oops, wrong thread.

I hope everybody can make it. It's been so wonderful seeing the updates from all of you. Some of you have flown by the 30 miles. Rock on!!!!! I have one more jaunt to hopefully hit my 45 mile goal. Thank you for making me feel at home here and allowing me to take over the month of January with my challenge. :) See ya on…

Kris, I do hope everything is ok and it is just fatigue. You have to not let work get to you. We all know how stress can impact our health. Congratulations on reaching 30 miles AND staying Diet Coke free. I'm very proud of you, my fellow jaunter. :) Heron, I'll have to find someone to teach this old girl new tricks. :)…

Good morning everybody. It's Tuesday and getting myself ready for another work day. I see my chances of 'winning' the weekly Fitbit challenge are nil. Oh well, it wasn't about being competitive. I got in over 11,000 steps yesterday. It's crazy, I really didn't do anything all that different than I normally would at work.…

For me, yes. More to keep me accountable and stay moving, even if I'm not doing actual exercise. Where I work is a large complex, so getting 7-8000 miles isn't going to be difficult. There are pedometers or even free smartphone apps that do the steps. But yes, I'm a bit of a geek and I like seeing numbers. I have only been…

Heron, I'll admit that I got a Fitbit so I can 'stalk' Carol, John and Kim. Hehehe.... Actually, I use Endomondo on my phone for my outdoor exercise walks. I can't get a good GPS signal inside, especially at work where most of my walking is in the basement. So having something to give me steps and approximate distance is…
-
I have the app on my phone so I'll be using that for syncing. I sure didn't like how the sleep chart looked last night! Being a geek and super OCD, it will take some getting used to all the stuff. Endomondo is filled with all kinds of info now. It's almost overload!

It's Monday. I'm now part of the Workweek Fitbit Challenge (thanks Kim). No idea how all this works but I guess we'll see. Should be fun. :) No idea how the steps will translate to distance when I go out on jaunts. I'm mainly going to use the steps for non-exercise walking, where I'm not getting my heart rate up, etc. But…
