Where: Bed Bath & Beyond, Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc. What: Minimum functions you want are "zero" or Tare function, and the ability to measure in ounces or grams (Imperial and Metric). For just calorie counting, a 5 or 7 pound scale is probably fine, I got an 11 pound one so I can also use for cooking (think mixing bowls…

On a Stationary, the level of resistance is as important as the "distance". If machine you are using can give you an average power output in watts (or at least give you a estimated MET value average for the ride), that would be much better. One of those two would allow a direct correlation to the ranges MFP uses. Without…

It is "Pork, fresh, cooked - Chop, loin (cut 3 per lb with bone)" in USDA Publication hg72_2002 (Can be downloaded from USDA Website). You want Food numbers 764-767 on pages 58&59. Measure the cooked weight (I would also have added do not count the bone, but the costco stuff is boneless IIRC). Also it matters if you eat…

Latest thing I tried came out very well & pretty moist: Marinade the chick for 30 minutes a side in a mix of white & red cooking wine. Marinade should not engulf the chicken, top should be exposed. Spice with onion powder, garlic powerder, rosemary, basil & oregano. Mix a little of spice in the marinade as well as lightly…

When you "earn" more calories via exercise, MFP spreads the additions across your Macros using the same percentage as the "base" numbers. Your Protein and Fat goals should also have increased after your ride. How you deal with the additions is up to you.

The link RodaRose posted says "Made with real milk and Honey Maid Grahams". Having read the directions at the bottom of the page, the "crust" mix is simply crushed graham crackers. (The directions have you add the other ingredients needed to do a graham crust) It says use a 9" pie plate, so that should have been something…

Being in a caloric deficit is what allows you to lose weight. It really does not matter what time you eat what food from a nutrition stand point, hit your appropriate macros and micros however you want. It could be the "right" way for you if it helps you stay in a deficit while meeting nutritional goals. but that is the…

You can use decimal places. I do this all the time with things like salad dressing. Use the method you already described (locate serving size in grams), and then just divide used by serving size amount. The JIF I have (different flavor) has 36g per serving, so if I used 53g, I would enter 1.47 against an entry that…

Mr_Knight has it right. Runtastic shows walking at that pace as 182 calories for me. YMWV based on weight, age, etc, but um, no, not seeing over 400 for it. If you are trying to lose weight, you are better off under estimating in any case.

I have not gotten rid of the oversize pants as yet, but I have a pack rat mentality in general. Will probably ditch it all 3 years from now when I realize i haven't looked at them for that long, need the drawer space & realize that new pants will cost less than taking the stuff in. They are, however, out of the closet to…

Another vote for 3-4 days for chicken. Pork lasts longer for me.
