  • @alipsie19 Welcome, Anthony :) I love Chow Chows, as a kid I longed for one! So cute. Glad to have you on the team.
  • 1. NAME: Lorraine (but also answer to Rainey) 2. FAVORITE WAY TO EXERCISE: Sleep. I'm very much a believer in recovery :p I jest. I love the lat pull machine at the gym but right now I do mostly strength machines and bodyweight exercises along with walking/crosstrainer. I'm trying to strengthen my core which is woefully…
  • ^ How I feel after using the Lat Pull machine at the gym
  • Guys, I'm here! So sorry I'm bringing up the rear this week, I had a family bereavement on Tuesday, and a family friend's mother (turns out both funerals are at the exact same time next Friday at two different venues) so it's been a bit of a strange few days. Google Docs are blocked on my work computer so I will try and…
  • Excited to get started! I'm watching the Amazing Race with my parents - we're up to the final three teams in season 4 right now, they're getting as obsessed as me lol. Okay, not quite, but they're enjoying it ;)
  • I've logged my gain this week, though it pained me to do it! I was under calories (just), and I've moved a lot, but last week's TOM gain just kicked my butt! 10.1lbs!! Yowza. I managed to lose 7.8lbs of (presumably) water weight this week, but sadly wasn't enough to be a loss on the spreadsheet. Onwards and downwards!
  • Those dance videos are fun! I've added a couple to my youtube playlist, and the stretching one too. Mi nina bonita is my fave!
  • I feel a slight twinge of envy at this week's destination - my dad went a few years ago, by himself! (in his 60's, perhaps that's part of the reason he had double hip replacement surgery two weeks ago lol - them STAIRS!) He met lots of people and had a rare old time, still has quite a few of the people he met there on…
  • I am thankful for my family and friends. I would be lost without my parents and my dad's recent double hip operation brought it home that they are not invincible (dad has always been fit, he's basically just worn them down from tennis and squash, lol, 67 and puts me to shame!). Mum and dad have always been there for me no…
  • Yay we are finally in Hawa-iiii! I'll get the coconuts, you grab the grass, we got some skirts to make! :p
  • Holy no time for anything, Batman! So sorry I've been absent this week everyone! I've been working longer hours, a constant headache all week of varying degrees (two nights were migraines and I had to just go to bed)... the good news is that the nights I went to bed with my head I didn't have dinner so there's some…
  • This week is PERFECT! I'm going to Hawaii next November ("this time next year...") so I need to get in the mood - and get in the good habits if I want to be comfortable in my swimsuit! Dare I even say... a bikini? *GASP* lol. Lordy, there's some serious work to do in the next year :D I have to admit, I'm struggling keeping…
  • @MissionEnforcer My food challenge this week: Day 1: (red)redcurrants, (blue)blackberries, raisins, (yellow)pineapple, banana, (green)avocado Day 2: (red)redcurrants, (blue)blackberries, raisins, (yellow)pineapple, banana, (green)lettuce, (orange)satsumas, (red)tomatoes, strawberries, orange pepper, (green)celery, kiwi Day…
  • @MissionEnforcer Hello everyone! I'm Lorraine, but answer to Rainey most of the time (unless I'm in trouble LOL) I'm 34 from Edinburgh, Scotland. I do not have any kids or pets - only sad about the latter - and work in an office 35+ hours a week. Sitting is the new smoking as they say, so I'm looking forward to getting…
  • Yes I am. Not exactly by choice but *shrug* guys just aren't into it I guess, as the person above mentions I also have a low sex drive so it doesn't really bother me that much. Maybe just waiting for the right man. But if we're not having sex that doesn't mean we aren't still getting an orgasm every now and then. Let's be…
  • Nope, but I'd send a nice compliment!
  • Well, it took forever and a day, but I went back through the thread and added an awesome to everyone's progress pics! I hope I didn't miss anyone... Congrats all on your efforts! B) :*
  • With the new buttons, I'm going back through the thread to retrospectively congratulate people on their progressions - this should definitely help the 'photo only' threads. So proud of everyone in this thread, I hope to join your number! This year, I promise!
  • Just so we're clear... that was a Supernatural reference, yes?
  • Everyone in here is winning at life :kissing_heart:
  • No, not disappointed (I got waitlisted last time and didn't hear anything after that) ... well, maybe a little :p I opted for Hufflepuff, not sure if that's a popular one or not, but I'd be happy with any house.
  • About 7.15am on Thursday (I was on the bus to work so I worried it hadn't gone through properly), and got the owl reply after 5pm that evening. Hope you hear soon @hayslip1974!
  • I'm not sure if previous students get a heads up before the new term starts or not. If they do there won't be many spots left for First Years! My mirror of Erised sees me in this challenge so... no pressure, waitlist :p LOL I kinda wish we could see what number we are on the waitlist, but then maybe that would be too…
  • Okay kids, I'm waitlisted! *crosses fingers, eyes, lines :p*
  • Do we know when owls will go out, I imagine spots fill up quickly so wondered if I can be put out of my misery if unsuccessful :p
  • I'm going to Florida in 8 1/2 weeks (wizarding world of Harry Potter!) so this is PERFECT! I hope I get in. Where's my Felix Felicis...
  • This is the beginning "Whoosh" that people usually feel. When people lose weight their first week they lose more than they thought they would, and then things stabilise while the body adapts to the new way of life. I wouldn't worry about it too much, but if you have any questions then there certainly wouldn't be any harm…
  • p.s. so many congrats on losing 100lbs! That is truly amazing. Also the 1000 posts... I like round numbers :)
  • I admit it, I snorted when I read that. B)
  • Woohoo! Well done you :)
