AMAZING! Congratulations!!

For sure. It took years for me to figure this out. Instead of eating, get busy doing something else. It was hard learning to stop certain behaviors and replace them with others like you do. This feeling is new, though. For the first time I realized the reason I don't get past 3 months is I'm afraid to keep going. You're on…

I'm finally in the double digits for weight lost! 10 pounds. Next goal is to get through this month the way I did the last 2 months to lose the first 10.
-
Thanks, all. I've kept a journal for the last 3 months. It definitely helped get through other emotions. I'll keep writing in it to overcome this, too.

Weighing myself once a month as a strategy to deter discouragement that comes with those weight fluctuations has been working. I weighed myself in June at 246 lbs. In July I was 240.6, and at the end of August I was 235.6. I'm so happy it's working! Real NSVs: My leg strength is increasing. I can walk up stairs easier. I…

Omg I just posted this same thing earlier! I think it has to do with fearing what success may bring. For me, I don't know how to be anything but the fat girl I've always been. There are other fears, too. Will I still have friends? I think we are comfortable with the way we are as our overweight selves.. there's some kind…

September goals: - keep up with my routine (up at 445am, in the gym working out by 5am, M-F) - drink 120 - 150 oz of water daily - log everything, every day! even when I know I'll go over
-
For today: drink all the water and continue logging. That's all!
-
Totally understand. Same here, who else can I be?
-
I think that's how it should be. Food should just be the solution to hunger and that's it. But there's something about it can also end up being an unhealthy way to cope.

STARTING WEIGHT AND DATE WITH MFP (MY FITNESS PAL): 260 lbs (January 2015) CHALLENGE STARTING WEIGHT: not sure yet. Made a 30 day No Weighing Challenge for myself... September 1 will be the 30th day and I can weigh myself then (and get a new pair of work shoes!) If I had to guess, I think I'm 235 or 236 now. I wrote goals…

I was a little freaked out when I felt these weird knobs... I think they're hip bones??? 😂 never felt those before.

I know. I'll remove the candy bowl from my table!
-
I walked an hour in the park this morning. Now, I just need to stay under original goal by ignoring the candies at our tables during today's professional development. I can do this!

I weigh myself once a month. My next weigh in will be in 10 days and I hope to see a loss of at least 4 pounds. That would put me at 236, and closer to my goal of 199. So, I'm on my best logging behavior! In 8 days I'll have logged 100 days consecutively. My next goal for days logged is 125. I'm aiming for 365 days…

Didn't want to be in the hot kitchen too long, so I made scrambled eggs with diced ham, peppers, onions, and bacon on a tortilla wrap for dinner.

Like someone else said, we look in the mirror every day and don't see the changes day to day. But if you take pictures maybe weekly you'll probably see a difference! I look at myself after losing a few pounds and wonder why I'm still fat. lol It takes time for the weight to come off and even longer for us to really see the…

No statins. Will make an appointment with PCP and ask to be sent to another PT. Thanks, guys!

I have seemingly unending energy!! This week I worked in my classroom 5 hours every day AFTER doing an hour of exercise. A month ago I would have never imagined I could have enough energy to do that.

I got this Note From the Universe a couple days ago. Just keep going, give some sort of effort every single day, and we'll get there!

low fat cottage cheese and tomatoes, 90 for the cottage cheese alone.

I don't want to be a fat teacher anymore. Kids are so cruel. I want my boyfriend's friends to be jealous. I want to shop at a store and not have to immediately shove my arm to the back of the rack for the largest size, 2x, 3x. Or find that my size ain't there at all. 🙄

What's your goal? If you had salad dressing on your salad, that could be it. What else was on your salad? Any other fruit? A banana has 14g. Apples have 20g more or less. (Also, pretty sure there's a difference between naturally occurring sugar and refined sugar like what would be in/on donuts.) Some pasta sauces are…

Foods aren't necessarily good or bad, though some are definitely better than others. Sure you could lose weight eating 1400 calories worth of KitKats and ice cream, but is that reeeaally doing anything for your overall health? Doubt it. You could start out eating what you normally do even if it is "bad" food (candy,…

Ugh. The mind has a way of sabotaging us, but we're smarter. I also do the "only workout for 5 mins" thing. If I really can't keep going, then I don't. 98% of the time I complete the original workout and sometimes more. Getting started is the hardest part. I find that making exercise a nonnegotiable part of my routine…

I add friends because it's nice to have people (even if I don't really know them) cheering me on to reach my goals. It's a two-way street. The more I encourage others, the more encouragement I get back. Sometimes that's a big difference to me, especially on days where motivation is low.

Eat at maintenance as others have said. Last month was actually the first time I tried this because normally I can't control myself at all. You could find me in the Burger King drive thru with a KitKat in hand every day until my period comes. Allowing more calories and not going above that helped me out so much! My…
