  • welcome michele and dee! Both newly or soon to be newlyweds, how exciting. Dee: anytime I get stressed out I lose my motivation as well. Which sucks because life is stressful in general. I also enjoy the outdoors, but suffer bad allergies. This last Saturday I went hiking all day and had to use my inhaler (I never do) just…
  • way to find the strength to make such a spectacular change
  • awesome, super cutie!
  • Okay, so I can do over 300 crunches (wow!) but that gets boring. We're only competing against ourselves, correct? If that's the case then I'm going to do pilate situps for this challenge.
  • Sorry ninja and peach that you guys overindulged. I definitely know the feeling as of late. Something about the winter makes most of us want to put on weight (to stay warm?) (to hibernate?). Whatever the case may be, it's just important to remember to hop back on the wagon and keep going.
  • I'm 4'11" and my goal weight was 115. I have a larger chest and hips, so wanted to retain curves looking healthy. Now I'm playing around with somewhere between 110-115. I'm 112 right now, and still toning. This 5 lb range may be perfect though.
  • I'm getting back on track for this challenge finally. As for next month, I'm still in favor just upping our own abilities. So crunches/push ups sound amazing to up the ante only against our own personal bests. Likewise, doing one new activity a week. We could start a new discussion and each week post what it was and the…
  • I'm in the same boat! I'm at goal weight (I think?) and now all I want to do is eat, eat, eat! It's horrible. I worked so hard to get down and now I feel like I'm in danger of going back up. WTH?!
  • Besides my daughter (who knows that I've been working out), no one else has really noticed my weight loss. Not even my husband noticed  . Which is odd, considering that the weight has brought me down 3-4 pant sizes.
  • Yeah, I have an amazingly long torso for someone so short (4"11") and have the same issue with pants. I'm somewhat amazed I can manage the feat of being on top (of, um, a horse?). Stupid little legs. And they stay rather round for me no matter muscle tone or weight loss.
  • When you're short, you can go as low as 800 calories but only up to 4 weeks due to not getting enough nutrition (according to a dietician). You shouldn't do this more than a couple of times a year. I didn't do it at all, I wouldn't be able to: I'm always hungry it seems. What helps me the most is when I dropped my fat to…
  • LIke this challenge!
  • I have three children and a husband who's in the marines. I taught middle school, until I had to move across country for his job. For now, I'm supporting my family through their transitions. Life can be interesting. A little bit of weight is very evident on someone under 5 foot. I've lost 17 lbs, went down 4 pants sizes,…
  • lol, it all makes sense to me now: it is that important!
  • My check in: Chalean, six times this week: 1.5/6. Started out early morning great with some sexercise. Later, wanted to continue my small morning window of time, went to do quick 20 minute chalean yoga/recharge video and then hubby called me and needed his work phone immediately, so ran it over to him in between school…
  • Had me laughing first thing this morning. Love it and thanks. See you in little over a month. I'll be back for 3 weeks!
  • Evelyn: "just declaring it doesn't make it so?! I have to come back and be accountable?! Yikes, that just makes so much sense", so funny. Interesting tidbit on the water. Great on your goals, and getting rid of the cookies. Safe travels. jljohnson: thank for the advice on how to add veggies/fruits. I don't eat salads often…
  • Today I did it. I had to stop my exercise video in the middle to take the second child to school, but then I got home and finished it. Whew, thanks again for the advice.
  • LadyGloria: I'm good with HeartsDesire said, that more people may find us this way and I'm good with how it's going. I am part of a "group" and the new format is actually very awesome, but I don't know how many others see us. HeartsDesire: Love pilates, so much like yoga and I feel all stretched out and awesome. Sorry you…
  • Thanks laloquita. I will attempt this in the morning (my children have 30 mins in between when I drop them off at their different schools). This may a golden opportunity. I'll just put on a sports bra when I roll out of bed.
  • Shabambam: welcome, good luck to your goals! jljohnson: great job accomplishing the goals most of the time. Weekends suck for a few of us, but way to hop right back on on Monday! bhurley: stupid labels, everything just need to work out the way we need it too (at least that's my vote!) Amazing with packing a lunch, not…
  • I found this recipe on MFP and have tried it. They're yummy. Even my other real life MFP friends tried 'em and liked 'em. 70 cal Pumpkin Chip Cookies You need: 1/2 c Butter or margarine 1 1/2 c Sugar 2 1/2 c All-purpose flour 1 tsp Baking Powder 1 tsp Baking Soda 1/2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Cinnamon (I used closer to 2 tsp) 1 tsp…

  • I started back in August and have lost 17 lbs. I'm 4'11", and trying to now find what my goal weight is (somewhere around here I believe). Now my focus is on toning (once I get my focus back). I've lost 4 inches total. I went from a size 8 to10 jeans to a size 2/26. I went down a cup size (not sure how I feel about that,…
  • The greatness of being a short female, when we get down to our goal weight: we tend to be curvy, and downright sexy  our partners have no problems carrying us around our partners have no problems moving us as necessary :blushing: we're compact for easy travel size we can turn anything into a bed or curl up anywhere,…
  • I am currently struggling in our challenge. I moved across country last month, and the lack of structure, transitional adjustments, and influence of new friends and being with my husband again. I have the Marine Corps ball this weekend, and this week while trying to get ready for it I just can't seem to find the time. All…
  • Love it and you ladies are brilliant. Thank you for your continuing support and creativity.
  • Shelllitz: I get frustrated at that too. So demotivating at times. I'm working on maintenance right now with possible weight loss if I don't like it with toning. It's such a delicate balance, and this is not my strongest point, EVER. This is where I normally start putting back on all the weight again, slowly.
  • MAK: way to rock all your goals yesterday!! And yes, the ball is quite a party. My husband need to us time after the past month, that's for sure. Hope you stayed away after your post from food. klbeal: awesome on the first thing workout, glad it gave you so much energy. Good motivation for continuing it. Philosohoe: I…
  • melanie(x2): very proud as well, great use of those calories. I would love one too please bhurley: yes, logging every day is so important, and AWWW, her first bday! How sweet! We should see a picture with her face smeared in cake usernamekelly: awesome on nailing the water and logging. This weekend I tapered off, but at…
