I went from the Army into the computer security field so I understand trying to make that less active transition. I'm in the gym 5 days a week, but I need motivation as well.

I am also a snacker. But find some healthy and low calorie snacks. My main snacks are apples, oranges, 100 calorie natural almond packs, beef jerky, and protein bars. Good Luck!

Drinking ice water actually burn calories. Our bodies use energy to warm up the water we drink to body temperature. A general estimation is that drinking 8 glasses of ice water a day will but about 80 calories.

Don't worry about going to the gym and being intimated. We all have to start somewhere. Take some headphones and motivational music and just tune everyone else out!

For smoothie recipes that call for milk, you can use unsweetened, unflavored almond milk. It saves about 50 - 100 calories depending on the type of milk you use (1%, whole) and I haven't been able to taste the difference.

My Belt. My favorite belt (because it was reversible) would squeak every other footstep. The squeaking turned in a popping sound. Then one day, I took a step and there was a loud pop and my belt broke at the buckle. That right, my fat butt, literally, broke the belt at the buckle.

I usually eat the chicken wings and a small amount of fried rice and a spring roll. I also ditch any type of drink that has calories. But, whenever I got to work luncheons, I'll treat it as a cheat meal!
