My latest trick is the Tyson Grilled and Ready chicken breast pieces in the freezer section. I think they have strips too. 100 cal for 84g and that's a decent amount of chix to make quick chicken salad or roll up in a tortilla with veggies and have a quick wrap. I add it to canned soups and stir fry - add at the end of…

Veggies are good cooked then cooled. Maybe a different green like spinach or just a heartier lettuce that you can wilt - unless it turns out greens are your issue, bell peppers, I like the sweet mini peppers and they are reasonably priced, zucchini or other squash roasted, onion if you can. Cabbage might be a little harsh…

Just make sure it weighs in grams, has a tare feature, buttons on the top and not underneath (basically avoid walmart scales) and that you can see the display when your bowl or plate is on it. I spent 20 bucks for one at Target. I think amazon has fancier ones for the same price

I only worry about flavor and quantity. I love white rice for most things including my asian dishes and sometimes I love seasoned wild or black rice as a side with a good lean stuffed pork chop or chicken breast. When I buy regular brown rice I usually just get very irritated at how long it takes to cook even in the rice…

I really like good balsamic sprinkled over the cucumbers then very lightly salt (not even necessary most the time) either chop fresh basil or use a little dried to sprinkle as well as a lesser small amount oregano. So good. I do this over salads too when I don't feel like making a container of dressing. You can mix this as…

I do better staying relatively low carb during the day and then having bulk of my carbs at dinner or late snack. I'm not a low carb overall eater - I do at least 150g a day and usually over 200. If I eat too many carbs earlier I have found that I'm more hungry the rest of the day. When that happens I'm a lot more likely to…

I recently have been shopping a LOT. For awhile I've been mostly making do with clothes too big and altering what I could. Now that warmer weather is here I'm splurging. I only bought a couple pairs of capris that I can easily alter. Everything else I'm buying is flowing material very summer stuff that will look good as is…

I like eating with chopsticks. I weigh my food so I'm aware of volume no matter what the plate size.

Something like spices, and coffee or tea which are always unsweetened for me. Sometimes I grab a few radishes (favorite snacky crunchy thing) and forget to log them. I don't worry about the few calories because I also don't log all extra movement/exercise/steps I do. Cancels it out and I'm losing weight just fine.

I have a friend selling and using that stuff - thank the gods she doesn't push it on people. She's gaining weight. She does good a week or two with whatever magic you follow each week then loses her mind from deprivation and has a cheat day. She posts pics on Facebook of her massive cheat day cooking. Yesterday is was mac…

I wondered how much is edible. Also, how to eat it lol.

Usually vodka with something low or no calorie mixed. Or, buy flavored vodkas and make yummy shots. My favorite is a bit of cherry vodka with a bit of chocolate vodka then a tiny splash of cream all poured into a shot glass. Et voila chocolate covered cherry shooter. Yeah that was a weekend LOL. I don't drink often but I…

I have finally seen fresh jackfruit. The Asian grocer had it the other day and I was tempted but it was priced by pound and really heavy so....not in the budget. It was selling fast so I'm sure it's gone now. I didn't know it was available canned. Might have to wander over to Whole Foods today.

But I'm allergic to raw celery :D

Definitely highly processed foods. All I taste now is the massive amounts of sugar and salt loaded in them. Or they are weirdly bitter. I still wonder why some plain vanilla ice cream needs red food coloring in it. When I make it at home with whole food ingredients it comes out the proper color without having to add food…

I found some a couple months ago with the per bag calories. It was refreshing. Haven't seen it again since.

Tacos. I always have low carb flour and/or small corn tortillas that can be filled with a wide assortment of nutritious ingredients. 2 tacos can be a well rounded low calorie filling meal. Keep cooked shredded chicken, beef, fish, canned beans, tofu, sausage, veggies, plain greek yogurt, salsa....you can also do…

Pretty much only tuna packets and yes please either gum or mints after lol. Lots eat tuna and it hasn't been a problem. Anyone that heats up smelly foods gets called out immediately and that pretty much takes care of the problem lol. Save the smelly food for dinner at home and bring milder food to work if you have to have…

Trader joes low carb flour tortilla is the best low calorie flour tortilla one I've had. Weigh them though - but even then they are still only about 50 calories each which is comparable to corn tortillas. They are soft and don't fall apart and they taste good. They also have regular whole wheat tortillas but I don't know…

I hate the under goal announcement too. I've seen so many cheering coming under and then scolding someone if they went over. The person only went over a few calories and she got all kinds of unsolicited advice on how to do better the next day. Even if she were over by more or a lot, why scold? She's logging. She might have…

Just iron occasionally when I know I'm not eating correct foods for me to keep my levels good. Years of dealing with this so I know before the Dr can tell me lol. Anything else I do well easily getting enough from foods. Multi vitamins and prenatal all of it makes me ill.

Maple foot donut (foot because of shape)....I believe it has a more pleasant name in the Midwest but I loved getting one of these from a local grocer when I lived in the west. I have never found a decent maple donut in the south. Way too much sugar added to things here and masks any real flavors. Now I stick to a simple…

I think it's magical because it satisfies my sweet tooth especially mixed into plain yogurt with a little wildflower honey. I dunno about any other claims of magic. I weigh and log it just like any other food.

Breakfast was an omelet with onion, mushrooms and bok choy with a side of toast and laughing cow cheese. Lunch was a huge peanut butter and wildflower honey sandwich. Dinner was potstickers with sauteed red bell pepper slices and pineapple bits in a sauce of soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper…

In an Italian restaurant I worked at many years ago they made theirs fresh with an old recipe. No ridiculous waste of space/taste crust of graham or anything of that sort. Just pure, lightly sweetened, luscious, rich, creamy cheesecake. They did offer a fresh raspberry reduction to those who like sauce. It needed…

The most filling breakfast for me involves a nice blend of macros. Carbs with protein and some fat. A small (or part of a larger) weighed baked sweet or white potato topped with a cooked egg or two or an egg and egg whites, a little salsa or hot sauce, and a weighed dollup of plain greek yogurt is very filling. I also make…

As salad dressing for a (no shell) taco inspired salad - crumble just a couple chips as "croutons" and you still get the salsa chip connection. Use ingredients like crisp lettuce with other greener lettuces and a little corn, beans, meat, squeeze of lime. Leave the cheese off because you really don't taste it anyway. Or…

I only add salt when the beans are almost done - salt too early can change the ending texture and makes it take longer to cook. Salt does need to stay in for a little while, the last 30 minutes or so, while cooking so that it melts into and flavors the beans and not just the water ;) . I have the best results when I soak…
