Weighted pullups and dips if you can, or just plain pullups and dips if you're not there yet. They both work a ton of muscle groups.

What's wrong with 8lbs in 5 weeks? It's only 2lbs shy from 10lbs, which would be 2lbs/week and is a very good goal. If your joints are killing you, you're probably better off taking it slow with the exercise then gradually increase, or finding something with less impact like a bike or elliptical. Also, walking on grass at…

Aside from the normal eat less and move more, breast feeding if you are able will help your stomach deflate faster and release some stored fat into the baby milk to aid in brain development. That's what the doctor said anyway, and it seemed to work well for the wife. Even after she weaned our son off, she still used a pump…

I'm 32, down 10lbs before I joined here and looking to lose about 25lbs more to get lean for summer. Anybody that wants a friend feel free to add me.

In theory, losing weight is really easy - just eat less calories and move more. In practice, patience and consistency are more difficult. Don't get caught up in losing 5-10lbs per week, it isn't sustainable. Also don't worry if your scale fluctuates, water weight can really add up if you had super high sodium meals(like…

Calisthenics are also my main workout for now. You know you're giving it a good effort when your arms are on fire! Also, once you can bang out a ton of them, work your way up to one armed push ups. You can start by using a regular pushup position with a slightly wide grip, but then rock back and forth between arms. For…

You're totally right. I knew better than to make beeramids and eat tons of fast food, but did it anyway LOL.

You could lose 20lbs in 5 minutes, just grab a hacksaw and pick a limb. LOL seriously though, if you're not morbidly obese don't expect to lose so quickly. Even if you are super obese, you should lose weight slowly to minimize loose skin. Just be patient and consistent. Patience is much harder sometimes than diet and…

10lbs, that's a big baby, congrats! Anyway I'm on round 2 myself, and already lost about 10lbs in a month(probably a bunch of water weight). The good news is that the second time around you already know what works and what doesn't, so you eliminate guesswork. Good luck.

You're probably doing this already, but eat tons of fiber if you aren't. I used to have one bowel movement per week, now I have at least one per day. I wouldn't bother with the fiber supplements that you add to water, they won't soften up the food you eat. Just eat high fiber foods that are easy to digest. Good luck.

You're right, just stay within your calorie limits and you'll be okay. The reason I don't generally eat packaged foods is because they tend to be calorie dense, and low on nutrients. I end up still hungry after eating packaged foods, then eat a bunch of stuff I shouldn't. When I prepare my own food, I have trouble eating…

In my opinion don't bother with a specific diet, because it can be really hard to stick to over a long period. About all you need to do is get enough protein, eat a lot of veggies to stay full, don't eat anything from a package or wrapper, and don't drink your calories. Most of the successful diets like vegan or paleo have…

Hello fellow IT guy! Start off by quitting Mt. Dew and sugary energy drinks(I know you probably drink them because pretty much all of us do LOL) and drink black coffee instead to keep you awake for the long hours of work. You'd be surprised how much weight melts off when you stop drinking your calories. It's hard to lose…

Great advice. Also, don't get upset if you lose 6lbs one week, then gain 2lbs back the next, it's probably water weight if you're sticking to your diet. In my opinion, diet and exercise are easy. Patience is the hardest part. Remember, 1lb / week = 52lbs /year, and 2lbs/week = 104lbs/year, and slow steady changes can…
