My two teenage daughters and my husband play. I don't see the appeal either, but they enjoy it. There is worse stuff they could be playing. :)

When we need to make a box cake mix, we use unsweetened apple sauce instead of oil. It doesn't taste like apple and it comes out really moist. It saves a few calories :)

Noodle, It is so good to see you! Way to go!!! Even with the schedule from hell, you met your commitment for getting to the pool and swimming. Look how that paid off. You are awesome!!! I bet your tracker is going to spur you on to greater achievements. Nice to get new clothes, don't forget knickers :#.

If you are making the cake, replace the oil with unsweetened apple sauce. The cake will come out just as moist, doesn't taste like apples, and it will be a few calories less. :)

It was a rough week but I did better than I had a right to, I lost a pound. I exercised an hour or more 4 days, 45 min. 1 day. 2&3 were a loss. I did log everything I ate. I will keep the same three baby steps for this week and try again. As Barb says: Persistence not perfection :)

I like the hippo one too. I think that is why I want to do belly dancing so I can try to learn how to move gracefully like a unicorn. When I dance I feel like one of the hippo ballerinas from Fantasia lol.

I quit on Wed. with Nicorette gum. I am taking it one day at a time. I had been smoking for 34 years, a pack half a day since I don't remember. Like losing weight it is day by day, hour by hour. Good luck! :)

My husband was 6'5" and 300 pounds when I met him. I was 5'8" 165 with huge boobs and very broad shoulders. I tease him I married him because next to him, I always feel petite. Even when I weighed 292. I think that is the reason I was so surprised about how big I had gotten.
