I also wanted to say that when you read the publication it has information regarding Rhuematoid arthritis, I have that and I wanted to find that publication because I wanted to show it to my Rhuematologist. I have three forms of arthritis, Rhuematoid, Lupus SLE and Fibromyagia. I take zero medications because they tear my…

Yes, you got it. The chicken in question was a 10 pound bag of bone in with skin chicken leg quarters. There is a brine solution injected into the chicken, the carageenan is present in the brine, which is in the final product, and will be consumed to a degree when cooked. Only the brine is listed, not the ingredients in…

There is also the fact that the FDA wants our opinion on what the label "Natural" means to you, me, to everyone. It doesn't require medical reports or anything else. Please, if you have the time and the desire respond and give them your opinion. There are a series of questions they are asking, and they detail what they are…

Thank you, I was looking for that and couldn't locate it.
-
I have plenty of that to provide, no problem there.
-
Thanks for the good laugh!
-
It's already in there, re-read please.

The problem is I was left to self diagnose all on my own, because the doctor (s) failed me. I have my answer, it's all I need and it was no help from the medical community and their tests in and out of hospital. So yes, that caused me to become defensive. Sometimes we are required to do things on our own because there are…

And yet, your response to that which you quoted has nothing to do with this entire thread. This thread is about knowledge and you can learn or disregard. It is your choice.

This isn't placebo dude, this is real, and I don't need some skin test to tell me different. I have suffered this for more than 12 years and I finally know after all my remove this, remove that from my diet, what the problem is. I am 100% sure, I don't need a skin test, just don't serve me anything that has carrageenan in…

LOL, oh the irony!

Thanks for letting me know, I am so sorry you have to deal with all of that. I also have a lot of problems with medications, a long list and (mostly referred to as Sulfa, that I have seen) is one of them as well. I totally understand what you go through there. I was able to relieve most of my gastro symptoms by refusing…

The problem is, it's in the brine solution, so it remains in the chicken for consumption.
-
Right, and that is where the confusion lies, on one hand it has to be listed, on the other hand they say it doesn't.
-
I do believe that is what they are doing, hiding it within the "natural" label when we need to know it is there.
-
Understood, but I already know so what is the point? It's not something I plan to do, I do not want anymore suffering if I can help it.
-
Thanks for clarifying that, but the chicken I bought was not frozen, it was considered fresh. I suppose they could have thawed it before it was put out in the meat market but I have never seen that particular chicken frozen.
-
Thanks for clarifying that, I wasn't understanding that to be the case. I will still hold tight on not having a skin test because I already know what causes the problem for me. Thank you.
-
Again, it's been covered way up in the thread, I was only responding to another post regarding pictures. Please read up above for you answers.

That's been covered way up in the thread, please read above.

Please re-read my response, I didn't say my blood test had any success. I said I had to find out on my own what the problem was. Please re-read my answer for your understanding. I don't think you are really truly understanding what I posted. I will not have a skin test or prick test. The blood test is a complete test that…

Thank you, I am glad someone understands and I am sorry you too have food sensitivities. I think we all should be given a choice on what is added to our foods. If I make a gravy and use corn starch then I am deciding I want that additive in my food and the same with flour based gravies. This is where the food industry…

Really? That's your answer? OK, I am not doing a skin test, I had a complete blood allergy workup, I don't need a skin test that will not tell me anything near what a full blood workup will tell me. All testing is uncertain, there are no guarantees in medical testing. It is used to try to find a "reason" for something and…

I don't buy pre-cooked chicken, where did you get that in my statement you quoted? I hope you know just how lucky you are to have fresh chicken available to you and your family.

I guess red seaweed is also known as Irish Moss.

Good morning, I have now had some sleep for a couple nights in a row and it's such a relief. I am going to work on getting my bedding washed today and I'll make some fresh homemade condensed mushroom soup I can toss in the freezer for a few soup days in the coming month. I find if I make it condensed, without all the broth…

Oops! Deleted because I quoted in the wrong place again.

I know, I had someone from church who came by my house once to pick some things up, she stood at the door with her son and refused to come in unless I promised I had not eaten any peanut butter. I hadn't and I told her so, she demanded again to make sure before she would come in my house. Her son was deathly allergic to…

I'll take a look this weekend when I go shopping, hopefully they have that brand on the shelf when I go back. It wasn't there last week, I wanted to get a picture of it. I believe it said something in the order of, "All natural, no artificial ingredients, no preservatives, brine solution". But I am not positive on it's…
