  • Ok so since I have ridden a bike since I was 10 lol. I agree a good Trek Hybrid would be perfect Make sure you go to a reputable bike shop not some place that wont Guarantee their bikes or their work. If they are good they will fit you for the bike. Make sure you get a good helmet and well.. there is so much for such…

  • Wow that is interesting. We I have learned every Doctor is different ! I was drinking Protien the day after I got home from surgery. Good luck however I am sure you will be fine in a few days!
  • Yep I love my TRX best money I ever invested. Right along with my P90 program
  • Yeh I had a love affair with diet soda too. I had to kick it while on pre op. and since I hadnt had one in over a month it was easy post op no to want one. Let alone the first couple of days. The thought of making my tummy upset is not really on my list of things to do. I do not even miss them right now. I know mY mom gets…
  • Thaeda your very correct! I was just thinking about that today after I swam this morning realizing how many Cal. I burned. And I am planning another bike ride later on. So yeh you can underfeed your body so much it hangs on the everything. You do have to feed the machine. Very sound advise!
  • lol I started to double answer you too but didnt....lol I behaved for one...ha ha
  • Yes a shot glass was my best friend for the first few days. I barely got on protien drink in the first day. each day got easier and by the end of the week I was able to intake most of my protien. I am about 3 almost 4 weeks out now and able to get everything I need to live if you will as far as intake. Water protien and…
  • Yep did that one too! Tried to do too much one day and felt that tug. Stopped what I was doing and relaxed. The pain went away. But I am more careful about lifting or doing too much. Gotta give time for the tummy to heal !
  • Yep I am 51 but will admit this sleeve has given me a new lease on life so far. Only 3 weeks out but ready lost a bunch. I know at some point it will slow down. But till then I am gonna enjoy the losses !
  • Yes they sure will ! The first few days home for me were tough! It gets better hang in there. Your gonna love the way you feel real soon!
  • The reason they want you to hold off on that stuff is for a few reasons. Your stomach is still healing from the surgery. You need to give yourself about 7 weeks at least. Your stitches on the outside may have healed but the inside takes a little longer. And since Nuts are roughage if you will all your doing is irritating…
  • Hey good for you! Wil keep you in my thoughts and prayers today! I know you will rejoice after this is ll said and done.
  • Mamma Cass
  • I have to admit I like your spunk! lol. You are absolutely right in many areas. You cannot think of it as a program or a diet or what ever. It is however a lifestyle and or a new way of life. My Surgeon called it my new job since I told him I had retired. I used to make the same argument you just did that one meal or one…
  • It is because of the Caffeine which is a natural diuretic. Decaf however is ok and does count towards you water intake. But I say this and some one will tell you NO! So depends on your doctor or surgeon! Doesnt hurt to ask them. I stopped drinking regular coffee a while back do to my BP being so high. I dont even notice…
  • Welcome to the new you and your new life! Just know those gas pains will be with you for a few days. No worries keep walking a little more each day and that will go away! Happy for you and good luck!
  • Lori my Surgeon put it this way to me and maybe it will help. Because I told him I had just retired he said well your new Job is to take care of your body and your health. It is work and no its wont be easy but just like any new skill you have to learn patience and percerverance will pay off in the end. My dad told me…
  • Good for you! I had mine done on the 13th and like you had a pretty smooth surgery. I did have a hernia to fix but nothing major. Pain meds I was off off after about day 4. Only thing I had an issue with was constipation. Somehow didnt remember that part...lol My incisions are good enough I got cleared for Cardio and…
  • Before my Surgery had some food dreams and nightmares.. I think I cleaned my house enough to make my mother proud. actually she was when they came to help me Post Op. Only thing I can say is to stay focused on the bigger picture. Thats what I had to do. After the surgery I had one nightmare about eating to much of…
  • Amen Relentless! Food had been my friend and my undoing for quite some time. Both of my parents have the full bypass procedure. I chose the sleeve after my surgeon suggested it. But I will not forget what my dad told me after he has his surgery. I now eat to live not live to eat. Powerful words. And yeh I would like to…
  • Well I stopped any drinking about 29 years ago when my son was born. not that I haven't had a drink since then. Just stopped! Diet soda on the other hand.. Well about 8 months ago I trickled down till a month before my Surgery. Now I am soda free too. Honestly do not miss it right now. And yeh the idea of bloating my…
  • Good Evening! I just had my sleeve done Jan 12th 2015. So I am learning the ropes too here just a bit. I have managed to lose 50 lbs from my consult day. So I have a bunch to go but am enjoying the ride along the way. 2016.
  • Just had mine done on the 12th of Jan. So we are pretty close. I just got cleared for puree too. So far I have done scrambled egg whites and I did try some canned deviled ham and chicken. Oh and deviled eggs... Waiting to get too brash...lol Good Luck!
  • So here is my two cents on this subject matter. I say it is high time you interupt this brodcast and chance the tunes you have been listening to. Give your self a break and give yourself permission to be as thins as you want to be and show up feeling supercharged. Up until now you have been living in the same Paradymn now…
  • So I do have a question regarding puree food. Whats the difference if I chew it to puree or spinning it in a blender. As long as it is puree'd it should be fine yes? No? Only reason I ask is My surgeon moved me from liquids to puree. well I didn't tell him I already had A Scallop which I chewed and chewed and chewed...lol…
  • Well I am now almost two weeks out. I have stuck to the Premier Protien drinks 3X a day. I have Egg Drop soup with the little mix you can buy in the store. Broth and one egg which I make sure is stirred real good. This weekend I did streatch it out just a little meaning I made a devi Egg like you would for a sandwhich and…
