Be mindful of your micros. Skinny does not equal healthy. If you regularly eat junk but small enough portions to give you a calorie deficit, you are not likely getting nutrients you need.

Protein. Turkey or chicken slices work well. I also slowly eat 1/2 cup of almonds through the morning. They do have a good amount of fat, though. Also, try drinking hot tea or really cold water. Liquid can make you feel fuller and keep your hands occupied.

I wouldn't say it is not OK to have carbs. The further they are from exercise, the more complex they should be. Try some casein pudding instead. Casein is a very slow absorbing protein that will fuel your body overnight.

One other trick that comes to mind if you like wine. Get a soda stream or buy seltzer and put a splash of wine as a spritzer. You get a little taste and the ritual without drinking too much.

As far as one beer leading to four, that is a problem for me, too. I've found a non-alcoholic (<.5%) beer that I actually like. It's called Clausthaler. It's the only NA beer I've ever enjoyed. When I get home from the gym, I crack open an ice cold one and it satisfies the craving. Without the alcohol, I'm much less likely…

I haven't had any in a week and a half, since I started precisely logging my calories. A few times I've scanned the bar code on a beer and have been shocked to the analysis.
