I know im eating more calories when I eat a full fat Chobani Flip, but it's totally worth it when it actually fills me up as opposed to still being starving after eating a 'light' yogurt (which I actually haven't done in years). And I'd be kind of annoyed to know I paid for less yogurt than I got ;).

Yes! This is exactly how I've felt about the last few years of changes. I was very successful when they had the Flex Points program and you had to 'bank points' (as opposed to getting a week's worth at once). I did meet some awesome ladies in an email group and we're still friends 13 years later. So I've taken that with me…

You can do it! You've done brilliantly so far and you've got this!

I had been doing short runs for awhile, but have an old injury to my foot that's acting up, so I'm back to walking. Anything that gets me moving is good in my book, so I think it's worth it.

This made me smile! :) Congrats!

I am really annoyed that these only seem to be an Australian thing.

Ah! I had those on my grocery order yesterday and forgot to place my order for pick-up tonight. Thank you for the reminder (and the list).

Oh, believe me, any other day, it's not an issue! I have no idea why anxiety is an appetite suppressant for me some days - I think my stomach is just so engrossed in doing flips around itself that it thinks there's no room for food :). The cause of the anxiety is fixed, but it's taking awhile to get through to my stomach…

I agree. If I had a dollar for every FB friend who's 'eating clean' and not losing, then complaining and looking for a quick fix, I'd have enough for a (probably halfway decent) bottle of scotch. If they don't want to do anything with the info, they won't.

Oh, thanks, then - remind me never to sign up for Stitch Fix. My procrastination with mailing things would KILL my budget there. I also really like Dress Barn - true, you're buying the clothes, but if you have the card and sign up for text messages, I literally get a discount code every few days from them, plus they have…

I think it's actually just called "Weight Tracker". It's free :).

I've tried GwynnieBee - not bad, but the sizing could be off and turnaround times were a little slow (when you've got to turn around and send them back, and wait for another item to be catalogued and ship to you, it took a week or so - if the sizing wasn't accurate, it wasted half of my month in transit). Also, the fees…

Oh, jeez. I love McGriddles. They are truly disgusting but they're the only fast food that I'd sell my soul for. My ads lately have been for Oreos (from a discussion here), Crocs from searching the web for a new pair for my kid, and a local ER, because I'm clumsy and hurt myself a lot by tripping over my own feet.

I've had several friends who've had their marriage end after they lost weight and became happier people overall - I don't know what the correlation is, but it's almost as if their husbands were threatened by their healthier lifestyles. One of my friends said her husband didn't like the attention she got after she lost…

If you're eating spaghetti, can you switch to whole-grain/whole wheat pasta? It's not that much more than regular spaghetti (I get it for about $1.25 for a box of whole-grain rotini at Kroger/Target - I just watch sales) and while it can be a calorie-sucker, I throw some cooked chicken on top and it's pretty filling. Check…

I eat around 1400 - 1490 calories a day. I tend to stick right within that range almost every day. Breakfast (eaten at 1 or 2 PM for me since I don't eat early in the day): Overnight oatmeal - oatmeal, unsweetened almond milk, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and PB2 (between 450 and 500 calories) Lunch: Weight Watchers Smart…

This is mostly me as well (except I log my weekly weight on Thursdays). I have an app on my phone where I do log the daily weight so it's not interfering with my weekly weigh-ins on here. In the past, I've found that I am much more confident and consistent in my loss when I weigh daily - the fluctuations don't bother me.

I probably won't lose enough to get the lifestyle award at all-staff this year, but it's MINE next year. Speaking of all-staff, I wonder if the planners would be offended if I bring my own food. I wonder if I can skip breakout sessions to go to the hotel gym?

I use my scale religiously, but have never even thought about doing it this way. This would have made weighing everything for my turkey tacos a lot easier tonight.

Don't cut them out. Find a version that will fit in your calorie goal - whether that's a serving of regular ice cream, dark chocolate squares, or a half a doughnut. The easiest way for me to fail at eating better and losing weight is to tell me that I can't have something. Nothing is off-limits, it's just a matter of…

If you don't like them, don't eat them. Life's too short to eat food we don't like :). If you're in the mindset of 'breakfast food', look for other alternatives - overnight oatmeal is my personal fave. You can do this!

Happy birthday, OP, and way to go!! I went to the pool all day today with family and we had a KFC lunch - I ate small portions and ate what I wanted (I even had a cupcake!) and have had no problems fitting it in today! Oh, and even though I'm nowhere near my goal, I wore a bathing suit and didn't care what anyone thought.…

Fantastic!! (It's my goal to win our version of this next year ;). My clothes feel looser, even after only 10 lbs. im wearing a shirt that's been tight on me that's practically hanging on me now. I didn't think I'd have to pull out smaller sizes anytime soon, so it's a nice surprise.

I don't know how many others are weighing food in my office, but that's a great idea. I may have to invest in a food scale for my own office and just put it in the kitchen anonymously.
-
I love this post. (And as someone who finally feels on the right track after YEARS, I'll join the feel-good train. My whole mindset about myself has changed, even if the scale hasn't changed that much - yet.)

Ha! I get it. We have a Silver Diner (50s-style diner) literally within walking distance of my office. Pretty sure the chocolate malt I used to get there regularly is built into my rear end by now.

It's a good thing I don't live anywhere near Texas.
-
Ha! This exactly (right down to the cat - my little one seems to think he should be eating at 4 AM lately, though.) I think it's totally up to you, it's just a matter of being consistent; otherwise, that fluctuating number will drive you insane.

We have a local donut shop that just opened a store on my side of town...they are apparently heaven in a little round food. I'm pretty sure the calories for one donut would be half of my calorie goal for a day, but the only thing that's really stopping me from going there is the fact that it's apparently packed from…
