Yes, a lot of people do if they aren't logging properly or using a HRM. But if you get put in that HRM bubble or the last bubble, then there's essentially nothing you can do and that can get pretty frustrating.

I started losing more weight when I did eat back some of my workout calories.

I clicked on this thinking it applied to me too. I just turned 27.... :'(

Fair warning... Someone is going to post that flow chart here any second... Are you eating back some of your exercise calories and are you logging/weighing everything and accurately? That's where most people's problems come from.

I little over a year ago, my office did a Biggest Loser competition with a cash prize. I kind of figured "why not?" and gave it a shot. I dropped almost 20 pounds in a couple months and was ecstatic! Then work went a little crazy and kept me travelling for weeks at a time for about 6 months. I got back in the groove in…

I can speak to the busty problem. Hands down, without a doubt, the best sports bra I ever bought was from Victoria's Secret. My girls don't move an inch when I'm working out, and I do a lot of moving and jumping around. Yes they're a bit pricey but it holds up better than my other sports bras I got from Target, Old Navy,…

The towel stretch was my savior. But I eventually went to a podiatrist and got some special insoles. Other than the cost of the doctor's visit, the insoles were only $30 and My feet feel so much better that I don't need to stretch or roll my feet most days unless I had a really intense workout the day before. It was…

Stagnation happens. Don't let it get you down. There could be any number of reasons causing the scale to stay put or even go up. You could be retaining water from eating too much sodium, maybe you're not eating enough calories back after your workout, maybe it's your time of the month (that always screws with me), or maybe…

By "slow loss" I mean that I haven't really lost poundage since Christmas. I've been bouncing between 207-209.7. But I've been losing inches. A few weeks back I started adding weight lifting to my regular workouts and I saw the inch loss increase but the pounds stay the same. I agree that an overall trend should be seen,…

Yes the flow chart is spot on, but in my case totally unhelpful. There's no suggestion for improvement in the HRM bubble. I'm only counting calories burned that I specifically track during a workout, not throughout the whole day. For example, yesterday I was moving around (dancing while listening to music) in my office…

I should also add that while the scale may be staying relatively the same, I'm losing inches left and right. So something just isn't matching up and I was wondering if it could just be my choice of weigh in day.
-
I've been on my plateau since right after Christmas. Personally, I hate that flow chart. It's not helpful at all. It puts me in the bubble about the HRM and I know mine is accurate as I've tested it, and I don't eat back all of my workout calories anyway. My elevated HR isn't from stress or illness and I'm drinking upwards…

A guy I work with eats the shell on sunflower seeds but that's as close as I've seen. I always suck on the shell to get all the delicious salt but then shell it and eat the nuts only.

My gym offers several classes everyday. I tried a few at times that worked for me (I have an incredibly busy work schedule) and found a few I liked. Then it didn't seem like such a chore to go work out because I was having fun. Now that I've been working out consistently for a few months, I find myself genuinely wanting to…

Crystal Light. I've been off pop for months now and it's been so much easier just by putting a packet of Crystal Light into a liter bottle of water. And it's helping me drink way more water!

When my husband says or does something that he thinks is absolutely hilarious, even if no one else does (think bad "dad jokes" and arguing with the dog). We've been together the better part of a decade but that look of pure joy on his face reminds me why I chose him and fell in love with him. That handsome smile doesn't…

If you mean that you're only getting 87 additional calories, then it may add up to more later in the day as MFP estimates how many calories your body will burn in a day just keeping everything going where Fitbit tracks actual calories burned. If you mean that your calories are going screwy after a workout or something when…

Oh my god guys! I just discovered so much deliciousness! I always make my own hummus and usually just use chickpeas from the can. Well for the first time I used dried chickpeas because I heard they make better hummus. Holy heavenly hummus they were right! It is so unbelievably smooth and creamy. Ugh! I'm doing my happy…

@jemhh I'm trying to use my Fitbit to track calories so I know how many workout calories I should be eating back. I'm worried I'm not eating enough and putting my body in starvation mode. @6502programmer My calorie adjuster for both MFP and Fitbit were at 3006 calories. On Wednesday, I worked out and had extra calories…

Frustrated and a bit disappointed. I've been on a plateau for over a month now and no matter what I do I can't seem to break it. It's making it hard to stay motivated.

If you're working out and burning 600+ calories you need to eat some of those back. If you don't, you're throwing your body into starvation mode. Some people (myself included) have better luck eating more when they work out. You just need to try it and see if it works. You won't know until you give it a shot.
