So, what is your long-term strategy? Do you intend to take Phentermine forever? How are you going to maintain any loss you have if you rely on Phentermine to drive it?

You sound really stressed out. I think you should focus on including 5-minute destressing sessions (relaxation exercises, meditation, maybe a walk) throughout your day. I find it very difficult to avoid binge urges or manage them when I'm stressed.

I haven't posted here, but I am still using Beck strategies. Once in a while I re-read the book. I find it contains a lot of good advice. I still have a list of "Advantages" I read and add to almost every day. It's helps me stay motivated.

My xyphoid process pokes out a lot more after pregnancy. My big baby pushed my rib cage out a little, permanently.

Have you read the book Brain over Binge? I'm finding some of the ideas there helpful. Also, there's a podcast called "Progress Not Perfection" which has a lot of great tips. Maybe if you make a plan to go listen to a couple of episodes of it when you're struggling it might help? The maker of that podcast has an app called…

Do you have a plan for what you will do if you have the urge to binge again?

Although I haven't been formally diagnosed, I recently came to terms with accepting that I probably have Binge Eating Disorder. It's something I'm trying to really accept and come out about, and part of that process for me is looking for support groups. So I did a search of the site and found this group.

I started this year thinking I needed to lose some weight, but I've realized my main goal is overcoming binge eating disorder. I've been in denial about it my whole life because I'm not obese. I've been able to manage the bad effects of my binging by being very active, and eating a very healthy diet (other than the…

I try to stick to these 90% of the time: - Weigh myself daily - Log my food daily - Aim for <2000 calories (Current TDEE is 2150 and I'd like to slooowly lose a little) - Eat mostly whole plant foods - Eat only when physically hungry - Eat until comfortably full (around 80% full) but not over full - Exercise every day -…

Some may identify as heterosexual after that point, but many would identify as "queer."

I think that sounds totally reasonable. As you increase endurance, you might want to add a little more. You'll get a little faster and be able to run a little farther in the same time. You'll also build your tolerance to running and could add another mile or another day if you wanted. It's nice to have the extra calories!…

I'm 5'5" and 137lbs, maintaining on about 2100 calories. I lift 3 days a week, and jog 3-4 miles 5 days a week. I'm trying to eat about 1900-2000 calories a day because I think that will be about maintenance at my goal weight of 125lbs.

My FitBit is very accurate for me. However, your number does seem high if it were for me. If you are heavier, though, it could be accurate. I weigh 140lbs and burn about 90 calories a mile jogging (that would be 90 calories every 1.61k) so I'd have burned more like 350 calories on your run. However, if you weigh quite a…

Get the vast majority (70-80%+) of your diet from unprocessed plant-based foods, and don't sweat the small stuff in the last 20%.

People tend to pick a weight they want to be and consider that fixed, then try to get their calorie intake level to that and maintain it. Sometimes I think the better strategy is to figure out what the lowest calorie level is that they could maintain for the rest of their life, then consider that fixed, and figure out how…

You could probably lose 2 lbs per week, and you'll lose a couple pounds of water weight when you start, so you could probably reasonably expect 6-8 lbs loss in 21 days?
-
I think you need to just keep going frequently. Once you get used to being there, you won't even think about it.

Greek yogurt with fruit and sweetener (I use Truvia)

I HATE that! I have a co-worker like that too, and she doesn't seem to understand that it's super-easy for me to use the "Oh, I shouldn't deprive myself!" excuse to overeat! Ugh.

Make a list of why this is important to you. Make it a point to re-read it every morning when you first wake up to remind yourself of why you are going to do this today. If later in the day you are tempted to stray, re-read it.
-
I've come back and re-read this thread a few times because although doing better, I still struggle with this. I've come to see what you mean when you say it's just about excuses. Any time my brain is coming up with some reason (beyond perhaps actual physical hunger) why I should eat a bigger portion than planned, it's just…

Thermodynamic effect of digestion, maybe? Doesn't it take more calories to digest some foods?
-
I eat back all my FitBit calories, and it works fine. Having too low a net calories for too long can make it really hard to stick to a diet, and result in binging for many.

Today I brought my healthy lunch and snack to work with me.

If you can't or don't want to get them out of the house, put things you tend to binge on in a cabinet you don't look in or a box you can't see through. Just having them in eyesight or visible on a shelf is a trigger for many.

Keep it up! I've found having MFP friends really motivating. Seeing that they have logged in for 30 ... 60.... 100...300...or 1000(!!) days in a row makes that a norm and something to strive for.

Tempeh and tofu are some of the highest protein foods I eat. They usually get me there.
