  • I've lost almost 25lb and nobody has said anything, except my roommate constantly talking about how small my chest has gotten (yeah, that's helpful). But I have more to lose than most, so that probably plays into it.
  • If you did overeat, it was at least on good stuff--you weren't eating a whole pizza and ice cream. Regardless, it's one day. You're allowed to be human while losing weight, y'know :) I'm sorry for what's going on, and it's okay to hurt and feel upset and sad. But don't beat yourself up for not eating perfectly. Just get…
  • Do you guys think that 170 is a healthy weight for 5'11"? I had that at my goal but a lot of people seem to have their start weight at around there, so I don't know how to feel.
  • Height: 5'11" SW: 273 CW: 252 GW: 170 MFP is set for -2lb per week Lost 21 lbs in 45 days I'm eating 1,560 calories per day and force myself to never go below 1,300. She's really hurting herself by staying at 1,000-1,200. I know how hard it is to kick disordered eating, it's not her fault for thinking she has to eat in…
  • Thank you all for the responses! I'm glad I'm not alone in this or doing something totally wrong to get this result
  • Go you! That's awesome!
  • I had like a 4 day period where my school was closed due to snow days and I couldn't go to the gym, eat well or even weigh myself. When I started working out again, I'd lost like 4 lbs. That was my first break from every-day exercising for a month + a bit, so I think there is some good to taking a break every now and then…
  • Stick with it! I wish I'd have gotten on this when I was a senior in high school, I'm just now STICKING to a diet plan at 19/college sophomore. Don't stress yourself out too much and remember to enjoy the last bit of high school though! MFP is great for tracking and it really helps you plan out meals in the long run :) add…
  • Only 20 pounds, been going since January, and you legit cannot tell that I've even lost anything... but gonna keep it up anyways!
  • If you can't afford a food scale (not all of us have even $15 or whatever for non-essentials), just try your best with your measuring cups. I'm at college, so I use them to keep track of what I'm eating and even if I'm a bit off, it's far better than eyeballing it.
  • Ran 5 minutes on the treadmill at 5mph (hadn't run in a while, wanted to see how long I could go for) Elliptical 15 minutes at a hard resistance Ran around the track for 3 minutes (to compare against treadmill) 20 vertical sit-ups 50 jump... ropes? (not up on my jump rope terminology)
  • What I do is just ignore what MFP says the calories I burned are. I don't eat back my exercise calories, so ultimately I'm not too bothered about the exact amount. My workout machine tells me one thing, MFP tells me another, and unless you have something monitoring your heart rate, any supposed calories burned from any…
  • I was kicked out of my college gym for wearing athletic leggings... my college has a super strict dress code (dresses must be to the knees, no cleavage, etc) that I fight pretty much every day (are male students gonna go nuts over my bare kneecaps?). They're pants. Let people wear what they want and what they feel…
  • I just got an Aladdin brand "sandwich" container, but it looks perfect for bento! I 'steal' my bento material from my college's dining hall, and it's the right size to slip into my purse ;D if you live near an Ollie's in the US (I know there's one in Metro Detroit and in Lynchburg, VA) they're only $3 and are great!
  • If he's too immature to not handle the person going to bed with him having a tummy or whatever, then he shouldn't be getting any. If he's not a supermodel, you don't have to be either. Start by learning to like your body on your own, and go from there :)
  • I've got PTSD, anxiety, and depression, so I totally get the difficulty in losing weight while battling so many other demons. While I'm not on medication, so I can't speak on that, I find that the best way to fight it is to just use the good days you have. If you can get up and have a bit of motivation, go to the gym. Take…
  • my thick thighs, i literally want to get to the point where i can crush a watermelon between them. i've seen it done!
  • I think I was dealing with BED during this year and probably further. i haven't binged in about a month since I started MFP, surprisingly. for me, it was more emotional triggers that set off my bingeing. If I was constantly anxious as per usual for last semester, I was... well, constantly bingeing. I stopped looking at…
  • Don't feel ashamed for your body! We're all here because we want to lose some weight, but it doesn't mean that you can't love your body how it is now. All bodies are good bodies and regardless of your weight, you deserve to love how you look. It makes dieting a whole lot easier to be able to look at yourself in the mirror…
  • I'm going to England to visit my boyfriend and I've been worried for a long time that his friends will ridicule him for being with a fat girl... so the solution is, just don't be fat, I suppose. It's hard, because I don't really have any problems with how I look now, and I hate that I'm changing because of how someone else…
  • Once I hit my final goal, I'm going to get a thigh tattoo C:
  • I used to do this in my aerobics class back in high school PE... it was absolutely hilarious! i remember it working for me back in high school, and that is was funny enough to get a bunch of awkward girls over the "it's an exercise video" factor... some of the stuff is just so awkwardly sexual though!
  • 5'11" here! C:
  • To look better when I get to meet my boyfriend of 2+ years... and not have any of his friends think, "He waited so long for that?" Harsh, but that's what it feels like sometimes... And to feel safer while traveling, like I can protect myself better if I need to C:

  • I weigh every day just to keep track of the ups and downs. It's frustrating when the weight has gone up, but I just try to remember that it's all about a downward chart at the end of this whole thing. A little bit of a pound gained back here or there will go away in a couple of days or so :) but it can be discouraging, so…
  • Some people do have larger bones than others. Everyone's frame and structure is different, so it's important to remember that, too.
  • I think it's fantastic and everyone has the right to love their body. Seeing representation of fat bodies in more mainstream media will be fantastic, in my opinion. Growing up and seeing no girls who looked like me, practically ever, did quite the damage to how I saw myself. I wish that there had been more body positivity…
