Words matter Sugar Plum! What we think, we become. Chin up and find a silver lining - don't let the day to day get you down. Reward yourself for not meeting an engaged dude with a good, strong workout to empower yourself!

I have an Apple Watch and have an app that performs similarly. I love it - it helps me hone in on what I'm doing to contribute to good or poor rest. It's neat!

My favourite thought when I have times like this: "The mighty oak was once just a nut that held it's ground" Stay consistent girl. It'll come - I lost over 115lbs and it took so much patience and mental strength to continue to focus on the goal and not the day to day. Wishing you all the best!!

I love working adductors; when well shaped, they give the leg a whole different look! I use bands for most of my work - I found a great set on Amazon that actually don't slip and slide around and come with different "weighting" - e.g.: the heavy band mimics using anywhere from 50-70lbs. I do things like clam shells,…

Hey Jess - first and foremost, I think it’s awesome that you took the big step to post on here, it takes guts to recognize the need and seek support. I’m a “big loser”, having used MFP for something like 2185 days in a row, and intermittently ahead of that losing 115lbs in total - I yo-yo’d for yeeeaaarrrsssss before I got…

I test my levels once a week with my regular check in. I’m currently in a mass gaining phase (pretty high levels of carbs) and I want to ensure insulin sensitivity for optimal nutritional partitioning and use.

I love anything on the Advices Radio Network. My two favourites are: It’s Just Bodybuilding Muscle Minds

Feel free to message me - I work in the area of creating and fostering resilience (generally in big companies, but it’s applicable across life!). If you’re willing to put the effort into change, I’m willing to put the effort into you, as a mentor. I’ve been where you are and I’ve climbed out of it - you can do it too.…

I remember these days and these feelings well while I was on my journey to lose over 100lbs. I did it and it took me a lot of time .. and the reason it took me a lot of time was because of my commitment, or lack there of. My desire to eat was stronger than my sadness of being fat. I'm not the same person I was and the…

I eat a very low fat diet for the most part, so I use predominately things like: rice cakes, egg whites, skinless/boneless chicken breast, XL Beef, wild game meat, protein shakes, apples, corn, peas, cereal and skim milk, toast and jam (no butter or marge), french toast made with egg white and cinnamon (raisin bread fried…

Way to go Rae - I know how fine the line is when it comes to ED and maintaining a healthy relationship with food. I’m super happy for you and your victory..!! It’s exciting to see and experience that type of win and I wish you every success and continued joy in your journey, and that with witnessing your girls have a…

It took me 18 months to lose 115lbs and it was a constant yo-yo feeling. I do a weekly average and use that now (as a competitive bodybuilder) - it's made an ENORMOUS difference instead of looking at and lamenting the daily scale weight.

I'm a competitive bodybuilder and sometimes when I have high carb days this happens when I sleep at night. It's an insulin response to your body processing the carbs and is actually the point when your blood sugars are dropping - so basically can be chalked up to hypoglycemia. I try to have my carbs away from bed time if…

Accountability buddies don’t work for me either! That said .. This is about YOU - and if you wanna be there to serve others, you’re gonna need to serve yourself first. You can’t pour from an empty cup .. and that time will come if you don’t put your health first. I’d say just what worked best for me was sucking it up and…

Ugh - I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this. An injury that nags is never any fun!! Have you considered any Graston to break the fascia up around the adductor? I was running for while and found this helped. The other thing I’d consider is strengthening these muscles. Ever since I started doing direct adductor work,…

I agree - understanding the root of your relationship issues with food is key, then finding strategies to help you reach your goals is very helpful. Cognitive behavioural therapy can be highly useful! I do what you do as well and don’t go down the aisles in the shops where I know there are trigger foods - and if I’m…

As a competitive female bodybuilder, my goal is 200lbs by February 1. I want to have a steady hold there for three days & continued upper movement until I start cutting for contest on Feb 15. I hit 195.1 this morning - so we’re trending positive. I want strong lifts into my cut and a top placing in my summer show with the…

Eat more. Work harder. Rest frequently. I eat 4000kcal on training days. I bust *kitten* in the gym until I crawl out (weekly PRs). Train 4x a week for 5-6 weeks, deload for 2 weeks with only 4 modest training sessions in the two weeks. Look up Fortitude Training. It’ll be the best $20 you ever spend.

Eat all the food and have an unshakeable work ethic in the gym!! I’m currently taking in almost 4000kcal on my training days and only just over 1500kcal on non-training days. I take about 550g carb on TD - 100g intra-Training. I’m hitting massive PRs weekly because of my intake and gaining mass really well as a result! :)

I’m a student of Fortitude Training. I’ve been training Fortitude since about June and I LOVE it. I’ve made major gains in muscle and strength. Google it and check it out. It’s well worth the time investment if you’re serious about gaining muscle.

Amazing!! Congratulations..!

Way to go!!!! It's such an empowering feeling to hit that BIG number!!! So happy for you and proud of you, I know how hard it is - it takes real commitment!!

I'm a semi-pro athlete and I love my dashboards and metrics; the cost is worth it to me because I don't spent $6 a day at Starbucks on a pink drink. (Smiles)

Great mindset girl. I'm Kait - I've lost (and kept off) over 100lbs and am now a competitive bodybuilder. I started and restarted probably six times before I found my groove - so you're ahead of me in the game!! I'm a no-BS, consistent user (I've got a 1077 day streak) and tell it like it is. If you want some positive…

Beautiful shots ...! You look great! I'm a heavy lifter too & I've lost over 100lbs and kept it off for years now. I've already hit my 300lb DL this year and tonight hit a new PR of a 150lb front squat, so feeling strong AF right now in a re-comp phase. Here's a pic from my Coach's gym - they featured my transformation…

Competitive (natty) female bodybuilder here! Bulking until the beginning of Q4 and then cutting for May 2018 run at Pro. Working hard to put up big numbers (hit 300 Club recently). Staying lean during this bulk (size 4/6; 157lbs; 5'8"; 20%) and managing to put on size and increase strength. Feel free to add me.

Cressy is also a favourite - great shoulder stuff!

I follow Omar Isuf; his background is in sports rehab. I used his mobility warm up to strengthen and increase mobility in my shoulders while rehabbing a terres injury from bench & continue to use much of it a few times a week even now. Not sure if it would work or be of interest, but here's the link:…

Congrats on your success to date! Feel free to connect with me - I'm a big loser with an active approach to maintaining my weight loss!!
