Ran my Haloween 5k this past Sunday 37:57, considering it was very chilly, windy, and crazy hills and I had 'a cold' I'd say that wasn't too bad. However, I found out that my 'cold' is actually strep throat AND bronchitis. Luckily I'm on meds and am good to go for my 8th and final (for now) 5k of the year this Sautrday.…

Decided I've had enough of this cough/sore throat crap (it's been a week) and I can't get in as a new patient at my hubbys' docs til JAN! So I went to a Walgreens Take Care Clinic today.. I have broncitis and strep :/ Bleh. That sucks cause I really wanted to go to Zumba tonight. Oh well, rest and soup and no work tomorrow…

Whoops, I forgot to weigh in before breakfast today. :blushing: HOWEVER, after eating lots of salt and a few too many PayDays yesterday and eating a very large breakfast, I was down 2lbs from yesterday. :noway: I think I'm gonna try weighing in on Tuesday for the month instead of Fridays. My weekends are becoming more…

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! Had my Halloween 5k yesterday and went as 'Where's Bru' lol ;) It was freakin' cold and windy, the race was very hilly and I'm still fighting this bug, but I didn't do too bad. My brother, Tyler, competed with me and he took 2nd in his age group! Sweet! And now he's asking about the next 5k.. lol…

Well, to put it nicely, I didn't get fat eating fruit. Fruits are natural sugars which are good food you. Cut out the processed sugars instead.

Boo. :/ I had sinus issues for almost 2 full weeks and now I have a chest cold. No Half Marathon Training for me yesterday or today and it's killing me to not get out and run. Wow, did that really just come out of my mouth?! Yes, yes it did! I really enjoy jogging, running, whatever ya wanna call it. I missed 10miles so…

How's everyone doing in their training/races? I tackled the Warrior Dash with minor injuries :) Next Sun is my Halloween 5k. Hopefully I'll be able to meet or beat my personal best 37:43. And great job to everyone! You are doing such an awesome job!! Anyone have any new races they've registered for? I have a 10miler in Mar…

It depends on the person and what you can handle. I think the dvd said at least 3x a week, but don't quote me. My first round I went 3x a week for 3 weeks and then 17days straight, lost 9inches. Then this year I decided to make it a true 30 day shred and lost 15inches. Do whatever you are comfy with. Test the waters first.…

You don't drown by falling in water, you drown by staying there. And anything from here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.113862488656628.5470.113859451990265&type=1

Congrats everyone!! Mine was at the gym. I had a guy on the elliptical behind me on the treadmil stop me as I was leaving to say how impressed he was with my running and that I looked like a natural. I'm training for my first half marathon and I'm only 6weeks into it, so it was nice to hear encouragement from a random…

So I'm 6 1/2 weeks into my half marathon training. :drinker: Some days are better than others. Yesterday was a not so good day, cause while at a new park, I was jogging along and didn't notice the incline and I dropped my phone. Luckily, as clumsy as I am, I didn't fall, just my phone (my music, my MFP on the go, etc)..…

Aw crud, Rach, I totally forgot! My weight was 193.2. I've done horrible this time.. Do what's best for you Rach, your effort is appreciated greatly .

Congrats on registering for it! Mine is Oct 16th and I can't wait! From things I've read and people I've talked with, the best training to do is to run and do some strength training. Many have said that, unless you are a 20min 5k'er and can beat the crowd, the obsticles aren't too challenging, the wait to complete the…
