  • Made an Orange Julius Protein shake. It was so good my 3 year old wanted to drink most of it! Recipe can be found here (with other protein shake recipes I haven’t tried) - http://mommysavers.com/best-protein-shake-recipes/
  • 45 minutes of exercise - elliptical, 8fit app hiit workout, resistance band exercises
  • 35 minutes on the elliptical today
  • @PNWBethany Without the emotional health, the physical health is much harder. It’s hard when you’re exhausted, but you’ve got this! I hope the baby’s sleep gets better soon!
  • That’s a tough one, but I know I’ve struggled with it before. Some things I’ve tried (though they don’t always work) is to substitute something. For example, I’ll substitute food (eat a healthier option or drink a carbonated beverage to feel like I’m getting filled up) or I’ll substitute an activity (get on the elliptical…
  • Awesome! Thank you so much!
  • That looks good! Would you be willing to share the recipe?
  • I love seeing how dedicated everyone’s being! A stomach knocked me (and my family) out the last couple of days. I’m finally getting my energy back so I’ll be back at it tomorrow!
  • 60 minutes of cardio fusion (aerobic class) done today.
  • Thanks @PNWBethany! Feel free to add your info to it if it’s easier for you to see!
  • I haven't worked out yet today, but I was thinking about the format of reporting our workouts/progress. I love this idea, but personally I have trouble if I can't see everything in one spot. Due to this, I created this Google Sheet - https://goo.gl/2DYAc8. It's a way that I am also going to track my workouts/progress. I've…
  • I think that’s a good way to approach it. Having that balance is important. It’s easy to do one or the other, but both provide great benefits. For me, I sometimes find that doing 20 minutes of cardio and then my weights helps with the balance. To minimize my time and maximize results, I also try and do supersets when…
  • I just made a Pineapple whip for a snack and it was awesome! Figured I’d share! https://tone-and-tighten.com/2014/09/healthy-pineapple-whips-recipe-only-3-ingredients.html
  • The gym was closed and it was -5 degrees Fahrenheit the majority of the day, so I did a Netfit tv Summer shred workout in my basement for 40 minutes (full body, dumbbell workout). My 6 year old showed his support and did the whole thing with me (minus the weights)!
  • Starting at 133.6 lbs. Measurements are in the photos.
  • Here are links to some recipes I’ve tried that are delicious and relatively healthy (and fairly simple). Sorry that it’s a longer post! https://www.sixsistersstuff.com/recipe/2011/09/black-bean-taco-soup-freezer-meal/ https://www.shesaved.com/2014/02/easy-chicken-stir-fry-recipe.html/ Cilantro Lime Chicken w/ Corn and…
  • @smdade That’s awesome and definitely something to be proud of! Like you, in the past I’ve had an all or nothing approach and still struggle with it. My issue now is finding time (I have 2 little boys and a husband getting his MBA at night while I work full time). I was most successful when I went to a personal training…
  • This is a great idea! I’ll have to go through my recipes later and find some of my good ones! One thing that I use that helps me a lot is MealBoard. It’s an app for iPhones that you can import recipes into (I find most on Pinterest), plan out your weeks meals, and then the best part - it creates your shopping list from the…
  • Hi All! I’m Amanda and I’m excited to see what this group brings. I live in the U.S. near Chicago and have not been as physically active as I would like over the course of the last couple of months. Due to this, I’ve gained some. While, I don’t have a significant amount I’d like to lose (7-10 lbs), I need the support and…
  • I’m interested. I’m in a very similar situation and would like to lose about 10 pounds and overall connect with workout/meal ideas.
  • I don't go to lifetime, but I'm currently going to Commit Fit in Plainfield and they've really helped me with feeling accountable. The trainers are awesome and really know what they're doing if you're ever looking somewhere else in the area.
  • If this is muscular pain, have you sought out a physical therapist? Maybe your muscles aren't working properly and everything is tightening up. I've never had this exact problem, but I've had pain elsewhere that was due to muscular problems and other muscles over compensating to try and correct it.
