Just ease into maintenance: this will take some of the "sticker shock" of the water weight gain that can come with upping your calories.
-
I am sure that you know: normal fluctuations are just that. That said, if you have been only maintaining since July..I wouldn't expect your weight to have dropped that quickly on true maintenance counts. I would probably up my calories 100-200 for a couple weeks and re-evaluate. I'm right where you are at: trying to find…

I'm not sure about specific exercises, but I can tell you that from my Charge HR to the calorie burns listed on the machines: there's about 25% difference with my Charge calculating a much lower calorie burn due to the HR monitor...so I always go with my Charge HR.

Always cold..even when it's 90 out...tea has been my new friend! :D

Meal Prep...Usually I throw some sort of meat in my slow cooker before I go to work..so chicken breast/tenderloin, beef roast, pork chops...ANYTHING on low and slow all day seasoned with just salt and pepper. Then make a meal with it: chicken enchiladas, chicken tacos, chicken fried rice, *kitten* on a shingle,…

I think it's best to walk away from this train wreck...any doctor who gives advice to a man that 1000 calories is enough should NOT be in the medical field...690 is not sustainable and not healthy. If you want to lose the weight AND keep it off without inflicting long term damage on your body: listen to those who have…

Ninja..ninja..ninja...ninja. It's literally awesome. I am a little obsessed with the whole line as their stovetop/crockpot cooker is simply the best thing I own.
-
I made a huge bowl of popcorn...and had orange sherbert.
-
Eating up some popcorn, spending time with my girls, stalking MFP, and watching HULU. :) Super exciting Saturday night!
-
Sent you a FR: similar stats you and I!
-
I tend to exercise more...that said it's probably directly related to the fact that I also allow myself a higher calorie count. :)
-
I usually pre-log my larger calorie meals like lunch and breakfast...and then leave room for treats: dinner calories are usually what's left for my day count + any calories earned through daily activity/exercise.
-
I hated running...until I purchased a VS sports bra. I don't normally purchase this brand: but worth every penny. Mine has an underwire and thick straps: I GO NO WHERE!!
-
Unfortunately, now that the surgery has become much more popular I know too many WLS individuals who are heavy...again. They never learned to portion control/eat right/make sustainable choices. The reality is if those are things you do not fix: YES you may lose weight in the beginning, but long-term you will end up right…

ALL of my weight loss is post Mirena insertion...it took about 90 days for my insert to settle and my cycles to stabilize...so give your body time to heal and stick with your calorie counts. :)
-
Keep it simple: I have some donation items: interested in rifling through them first!?!? My mom/sisters/I have swapped many an item over the years..and I love it...even when I was bigger than them. :)
-
I would have started lifting earlier as well..but I would have slowly upped my calories as I got closer to maintenance: jumping from a deficit to maintenance was like giving me another entire meal/day...which simply opened the flood gates to thinking that EVERYTHING fit in my calorie goals, when they really didn't. I will…

I personally grab protein if I'm looking for something to tide me over when I'm hungry: think greek yogurt, string cheese, turkey slices..but you can always bulk up what you are eating too. I am not a big vegetable eater myself..but I really like caramelized onions and steamed baby carrots with everything...it's extremely…
-
I think the opposite: for how long they hold my appetite and the high amount of protein in them...I'll cut elsewhere before I cut out eggs. Breakfast with 2 eggs and toast can run 250 calories total. 2 eggs over easy, weight watcher's toasted bread, and a pat of butter. :)

If you have been logging that long: you are not in a deficit. Get. A. Food. Scale: finding out I was drastically underestimating meals completely changed the game for me...and pre-packaged individual serving sizes are off as well: Finding out that MARS bar I was having at 1 bar = 49g 170 calories..actually weighed 54g:…

I think there's a constructive way to say "During down times, is there something you would like me to take care of for you?" Initiative is HUGE and is remembered when it's time for your review....

#1. GET A FOOD SCALE!!! When you are eating at a deficit, it's super important that you are getting EVERY. SINGLE. CALORIE that you have earned. Even more so if you are sticking to a 1200 net calorie count. While many are shocked at how far off their guestimates are...I was pleasantly surprised as I found I was drastically…

Initially, I would say the biggest portion of these losses are water weight....and waste. :) Pleasant, right?

I personally started with dumbbells before I transitioned to the bar: same movements as many of the machines, but it will target more muscle groups at once. You also don't need a spotter and can do many of the same exercises as you would with the barbell (OHP, Bench Press, Squats, Dead Lift). AND recomp takes a long time:…

Traditionally I was lifting 4 days/week for 45 minutes usually at 5:30 pm. Temporarily to lean out (4 weeks left and counting!!!)...For the last 4 weeks: at 4:30 am, I ride my bike to the gym where I usually do 45 minutes on a stepper (circa 8 miles), then if it's not CRAZY HOT like now I walk 30 minutes on my lunch (2.1…

Though not for weight loss, I definitely have some suggestions if you are looking to switch up your go-to tea....The Good Earth Wild Chaild is delicious. I also like Bigelow's Vanilla Carmel or Salted Carmel flavors... :)
-
I personally would do a cheater diet sprite with mint and fake me a mojito...delicious and calorie free!?!? Plus you can sip to your heart's content and no one would be the wiser!
-
It's great to hear you have an exercise goal! I personally do something similar, but mine is timed and I simply try to beat my previous calorie burn. So for example: if I'm on the elliptical and I go for 30 minutes and burn 258 (since that's a realistic goal), then tomorrow I'm going to beat that. :) Just remember that the…

Whatever you are going to stick with: do that. :) I personally like the recumbent bikes...but the point is to find something that you enjoy doing so that you continue to do it. That said: 75% of my weight loss was due to changing the way that I ate so that might be the place to start. No exercise is required for weight…
