  • It’s Thursday…the weekend is just around the corner. Often the weekend is difficult for people with social events and more opportunities to exceed calorie goal. Try to take a few minutes and make a plan. Doing the same thing will yield the same results. Throw out some plans for yourselves this weekend!
  • Welcome back!! @Itadakimasu7
  • @nancyinmo so glad to hear you’re safe after that horrible storm! You deserve a treat after being stuck in a hotel for 3 days with animals! It is hard to have control of eating when you’re in a hotel environment not in control of your own kitchen and meal prep. Go enjoy jazzercise! Great for physical, emotional and mental…
  • @Zaxa2021 we all go through this loss of focus. Give yourself some grace, it’s temporary and you’ll get that focus back. Try to do that 10 minute rule I shared earlier. Pick an activity and commit to 10 minutes and see how you feel after. Can you commit to another 10 minutes. I know you’re active with your little ones as…
  • Steps 7/30 11,591 7/31 10,761 8/1 10,330 3 days of 10,000!! I’m going for 3 more!
  • NSV alert! I was at 7800 steps after dinner. I had already come home and walked for an hour after work and I was tired. It was dark and I don’t like walking alone at night. So, I got my teenage son to be my walking buddy and I went out and got my 10,000 steps! Whoo hoo!! @TexanMom8152 you have lots of excitement going on!…
  • @Armygirlarmyof1 I’m sorry to hear you’re in pain and struggling. Glad you were able to get out get some things accomplished today though. Glad you were able to get a watch to help with steps. I like to compete against myself to see if I can beat the previous day’s or week’s steps. I like when I see my trend increase. We…
  • On the heels on @Cyncia85 …don’t wait until you’re motivated! Here’s an article I found with some good pointers. I picked out a few that really resonated with me… —10 minute rule: pretend you’re motivated and do at least 10 minutes before quitting, chances are you’ll keep going —Half-mile nature walk reduces brain fatigue…
  • @Cyncia85 anxiety is new for me the past two years. I have found movement definitely helps. Sleeping or lying around, while tempting make it so much worse for me. The symptoms of anxiety are overwhelming if I don’t move.
  • @looneycatblue I really like how you looked at your losses by months. I’ve been at this from May and I think looking at each individual month will help me see a trend of when I was most accountable and help me get back to that mindset. @Cyncia85 looking forward join in the role of motivator with you! @LaurieWrobo congrats…
  • @roz0810 welcome to our group! Hopefully we can all work together to motivate each other and inspire each other to dig deep and reach our goals! @Zaxa2021 I love the fitness goals and it’s so true, it brings accountability. Make sure to post on how you’re doing on them. It’s inspiring to other members!
  • Weigh day PW 178.9 CW 178.5 This weigh day had me thinking about crazy things meat we may do on weigh day. For instance – as soon as I woke up this morning, I got on the scale and was like whoa… Wait a minute. Then I decided to have a little coffee to see if that would help… and Yep the way came down a little bit more……
  • @jessicakrall8 I’ll continue step challenge too. 10,000 goal per day
  • Hi! I’m Sam, I joined this group in May. I’ve lost 14# so far. The past couple weeks I’ve struggled a bit with social events and excuses. My goal this week is to stop excuses and get disciplined. It felt so good to lose that weight and I want that feeling back. Plus I love the way it feels to have some of my old clothes…
  • @izzyred9400 thanks for sharing the strength building workout. I’m looking forward to incorporating those exercises. @Walela617 congrats on your weight loss!! The heat wave has broken in Chicago as well!! It was so nice to go for a long walk yesterday and be able to breathe! That wall of humidity has been horrible. We’re…

  • @CasandraW you can do this. Every day is a fresh start and a new beginning. Let go of yesterday’s failures or missed opportunities and focus on the goals of today. I’m with you, lost some accountability but we can chose to own our actions and behaviors today. Here’s to a good weekend! Let’s come back on Monday with some…
  • @izzyred9400 great weight loss!!! I’ve totally felt intimidated in the past going in the free weight room and lifting just the bar or just adding a couple weights. Thankfully my insecurities greatly decreased in that area and I’m just proud that I’m lifting some weights. Can you share the Facebook free strength building…
  • @ganival thanks for sharing your NSV and what an amazing one that is!! Over 61,000 steps over 3 days and you capped it off with 11miles. That is seriously awesome and I think I may be experiencing some sympathy calf soreness for you right now! 🤣 Lake Louise is stunning. I’d love to just sit there and stare at that view! It…
  • @savagemrsmoose have an amazing vacation!! I’ve never been to the Galápagos Islands but they look spectacular and relaxing! @kodakslim great job breaking that threshold! It feels so good to see the scale reward you for your hard work. Thanks to google I was able to figure out the stones 😉 I noticed quite of few of us,…
  • I saw this today and it is so fitting for me! I’ve focused on losing weight in the past for events or for summer or for a contest but those things pass. This is also so true for me with exercise. Often music really motivates me and I can really kick up my exercise a notch with some good tunes. However, some times I’m just…
  • @jessicakrall8 and @PatriceFitnessPal I sent you both emails. Let me know if you didn’t receive them. I think I figured it out, I kept using the @ sign for user and then when I removed it, both emails send. Hopefully that was it! Also, does anyone get notifications if your posts have reactions (likes, hugs, inspiring,…

  • @PatriceFitnessPal way to go pushing yourself to get out there for rowing practice! @frankwbrown that is an awesome accomplishment! Thanks for sharing the pictures too!
  • After an enjoyable vacation , I struggled today with my calories. I was 300 over and way below on steps. I phoned a friend—a speed walking friend and an hour later, dripping with sweat, I have 11,755 steps!! It feels so good to push myself and get my steps in!
  • I love seeing all the success from last week! Congrats @jenhul, @dancingonstarz, @kcpond and @Nancyinmo I know @PatriceFitnessPal asked last week about food that surprised us when weighed. I started that with pasta but I’ll add salad dressing to that too. So easy to pass thr serving size on that!
  • PW 180.1 CW 178.9 Steps 7/17 13,854 7/18 10,163 7/19 9,835 7/20 6,677 7/21 16,145 7/22 8,581 7/23 1,119 Sorry @jessicakrall8 for the data overload!
  • So here’s a random question— is anyone else shocked at how high calorie pasta is? Somewhere along the way, I thought 1 cup is 200cal. I’m not sure where I got that figure with but that’s what I’ve always gone with. I just weighed my penne yesterday and 2oz was like 20 noodles and that’s 200 cal! Mind blown! 😳🤯
  • Great job @Zaxa2021 that’s so awesome!! Keep up the hard work!!
