To be down at least 6 pounds by the last weekend in September when I'll be meeting up with my group of friends from high school who I've not seen since Feb 2020, just before the pandemic got "real". That way, even though I've still got a long way to go, I'll only be a few pounds heavier than I was pre-pandemic. If by some…

Forgot to add I'm doing intermittent fasting. 17:7 is the goal but most days I push it to an 18 hour fast.. Sept 3: 172 Sept 4: 172 Sept 5: 170

Ultimate goal weight 133... several setbacks in the past two years. Started Jan 2018 181 pounds got down to a low of 143 pounds by Dec 2018 then it's been steadily up and down then up... I've calculated that if I lose on average 2lb per week roughly I should my goal by end Jan 2022. Anyway, one step at a time! I hope to…

Did well above and once even doubled my 10,000 daily step goal every single day on my 4 night beach vacation with the kids. Ate fairly well too so I discovered that I had a small (-1lb) scale victory when I returned today too! I really hope to keep up my steps now that I'm home and back to work and kids school routine next…

Totally agree. Carbs in the morning mess up my whole day! It was a game changer when I finally realised this on my first ever intentional successful weight loss journey in 2018.

Requested you :)

Agreed. This was my experience too. Only the brave commented and even then very cautiously. Some people may also think you're losing weight due to health problems. I did notice though that once one person said something then the comments and compliments began pouring in.

What a great story! Thanks for the inspiration 😊

I'm catching up with this thread and I guess the pandemic proved you right shortly after you wrote this we all had to start working out with no gyms!
-
This happened for me yesterday. Really frustrating because I got a super high step count but also ate quite a bit now I don't know where I stand :( anyone else had issues??
-
Just to chime in here and say it's great! I've been taking it on and off for over 9 years and for me it works great for sleep, anxiety, reducing overeating and mood. It's a bit expensive but worth it. I usually wait until it's on offer to buy.

I'm on day 38 of a 17:7 IF pattern and I'm loving it. No more urge to snack in the evenings and if I fancy eating earlier the next day I just stop eating earlier the day before. My appetite has really decreased although I do try to eat my daily calorie goal. I plan to eat this way for life.
-
This is the first thing I thought. Maybe you're allergic or sensitive to the protein types you're eating and it's time to try alternatives.
-
Thanks! I've wanted this game for months after seeing the ads on TV at Christmas time but couldn't recall the name lol
-
Started IF this past week. 18:6. Also cleaning like crazy when I'm not working from home and drinking lots of water.
-
Did a 36 hour fast last weekend now I'm almost one week into 18:6 IF and enjoying it after eating out of control for weeks since the coronavirus UK lockdown. Gained 6 pounds and I've lost 3 of those over this past week. I'm hoping that this will be my new way of eating for life but will give it a month and see how it goes…

I'm in my early 40s and this is bothering me too but I'm hoping it'll change if I manage to lose the last 15 to 20 pounds.

I'd love to know how this went! Just got my braces on a few days ago at age 41 and looking for as many motivational adult braces stories as possible.
-
Day three of wearing braces. It's not as painful as I was expecting. Takes forever to brush my teeth now though. I'm in the early days of discovering food nonos and I definitely won't be eating pea and ham soup again :D The one I'm currently eating isn't fully blended and I'm feeling pieces of pea skin and ham chunks…

Very helpful explanations heybales. Many thanks! The way you've broken it down is easier to understand than some posts I've read on Fitbit issues :)
-
This is now driving me nuts too. It's just started messing up for me this past week.
-
Thanks all- I will try doing this as its happened again!
-
It's very frustrating! I earned over 700 exercise calories yesterday then today it's suddenly saying 9!!! I've tried to stay under all week so to see a red entry this morning is really really annoying. :s
-
I'm getting braces in a few weeks and I'm 41! Can't wait I've been wanting them since I was a teenager. Will be expensive but totally worth it in my opinion.
