@AlexandraFindsHerself1971 Thanks so much! This particular bathing suit had stitched-in cups (no underwires, but still, not just stretchy material) so it was pretty good. I am a 36DDD and it had good coverage and support. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DNCSLLQ/ref=twister_B08PNTX2NX?_encoding=UTF8&th=1&psc=1

@MelissaAY1017 I have a weekend chorus retreat starting on Thursday, and DEFINITELY am hoping to hit the pool and hot tub, so I needed something that wouldn't float right off me! I ordered it YESTERDAY and it arrived today! And only $31!

The hubby is off! And my new swimsuit arrived from Amazon a day early. I was terrified to try it on, and I am being very self critical, because of loose wrinkly skin, but it's a 12 and it fits!

I have not made great choices food-wise today, but am feeling relaxed and happy, so there's that! And I got my hair cut, and my stylist hadn't seen me in a few months and was very complimentary (and I actually liked how I looked in the mirror!) so that kinda feeds me--I will get back on track! Gotta dump off the husband at…

I have never had a cup of coffee in my life. But I will admit I start my day with a can of Diet Dr. Pepper!

@conniewilkins56, you can do it! You are worth the effort and deserve to feel better!
-
@lauriekallis, Thank you, I DO feel very welcomed and am already starting to do some reading in the forums, which have been very inspiring!

I have ALWAYS needed to lose weight, but it always felt like such a punishment to really be working on it. I could do it for a while, but then would get tired of the effort, tired of denying myself the things I most enjoyed, tired of having to FOCUS on it all the time. And I love flavor. And I don't like exercising! But…

Oh yeah, I have had that issue with being cold all the time since losing weight--It takes me FOREVER to fall asleep if my feet are cold, and it feels sometimes like the cold is deep in my bones. I find I can warm up best by having a cup of hot herbal tea and/or by taking a hot shower. And I have taken to wearing socks to…

Thank you, @conniewilkins56 !

@Yoolypr and @Bella_Figura, thank you for the greetings! I don't spend nearly as much time on MFP as I did when I was logging regularly--now am on the site for the program I am using in conjunction--but I still come on here fairly often to update my numbers and also to check foods that maybe I am not as familiar with in…

Thanks, @AnnPT77 ! I will check it out!

Hi! I started off in MyFitnessPal in February 2015 at 300 lbs. I am a nurse practitioner, and felt horrible about the example I was setting for patients. My weight was also affecting my marriage and was keeping me from enjoying vacations and my favorite hobby of singing in a show chorus. I started diligently logging…

Good job, Jen! You started even though you didn't want to, and you logged food and lost 80 lbs between Feb 2015 and the end of 2019. Then COVID hit, and over the space of 2020, you gained back 30 lbs, but you were still down 50 from your starting point! And then in Feb 2021, you got serious again and are still at it today,…

Thanks! Myfitnesspal taught me portions, but the clincher was mindful eating--learning the difference between hungry and sad, bored, frustrated, etc, and also learning how to recognize when I am satisfied and how to stop eating even when things taste good!

From 300 lbs to 164, 86 of it in the past 12 months! Age 54. It's possible!

Many carb sources like bread, pasta, bagels, rolls, and crackers are surprisingly high in sodium. Those are usually where a lot of my sodium comes from--I also track sodium and have a hard time staying under unless I really watch.

An extra week off to go on a trip somewhere warm!

Salsa is a great dip for raw carrots, celery, jicama, or pretty much anything you can cut into strips! Also, when I get sick of eating my salads but know I need some more veggies on a given day, or when I want to snack during a TV show but not have popcorn or chips, I will eat salad right out of a premade bag, with my…

Little bit of both. I want to do it for a lot of personal reasons, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit I also want my husband to want me more. How he feels about me is important to me, and I don't think there is anything wrong with that--he loves a lot about me, but not my size right now.

I so feel the same way, and am just starting. I don't want to, I'm resentful, I'm fearful, and way too many of the motivations I have are negative instead of positive. But I am going to do this. I will need motivation and help too. Please feel free to add me as a friend--I would appreciate it!

I am brand new here and just starting this journey that I don't want to take, with 142 pounds to lose. Would be happy to have some motivation myself! I will add you as a friend and am sending good thoughts your way!

I am new here and need to lose 142 pounds, and know I will need support too. Please feel free to add me as a friend!

I will need reassurance that it is normal to feel angry that I have to do this, frustrated by a metabolism that makes gaining weight so much easier than losing, and sad that the rewards seem so far away.
